Fitz & Windsor had the very best of times at Royvon. The daily pictures put my fretting mind at immediate ease. Staff kept me informed when the food I provided was running low, and when Fitz acquired another one of his typical pad sores. Every interaction with Royvon was transparent, helpful, and very much appreciated. It was very clear from all of the photos that Fitz and Windsor received plenty of interaction and TLC from all of the staff. I honestly cannot imagine sending my two grey handfuls anywhere else. Would highly recommend. Staff are friendly and very knowledgable. Even though my dog Missie has bad anxiety when meeting new people she is always excited to see the staff and they have a lot of time and patience with her. Her new sister is currently enjoying her first stay with them and I wouldn’t leave them both there if I didn’t trust the staff. More...

my dogs Max and Bailey have just returned from their first ever boarding stay and I can't recommend Royvon highly enough! To say I was anxious leaving them is an understatement but I needn't have worried as they've both received top class care . The staff go out of their way to reassure you and clearly adore the dogs they look after. A special big thank you to Angharad who reassured me constantly during my trip with updates and photos. first time of leaving my 2 dogs at Royvon kennels and felt anxious as have had bad experience else where. the photographs that are shown with the dogs playing are great you can see how happy they are and just the way the staff are with the dogs . definetly recommend and will leave dogs here again More...

Copper went to residential training and has just finished his last follow up session! I can’t fault our experience with Royvon, from all the pictures and keeping in touch while Copper was staying with them, to the brilliant training we had afterwards! The trainer Aleks has been amazing with Copper and teaching us how to continue the training. We have seen such a big improvement in Coppers behaviour and obedience! Thanks so much for everything!! Bailey has just come home from his "holiday" with Charlie, Maisey and all his new friends. Daily photos showed just how much fun they were all having. The team even kept in touch when Bailey and Maisey had one of their regular disagreements!! As usual Bailey has no voice from all the barking he can get away with in Royvon and he gets so excited the minute we pull up outside. Hera has spent just over 3 weeks at Royvon undertaking a BMP course with Aleks. It was a worrying time for us but we were kept reassured by regular pics and 2 videos. Aleks has worked wonders with Hera , on seeing Hera for the 1st time we need not have worried she was healthy and happy. We were really worried about letting our boy go into the training programme at Royvon. However, from the very beginning everyone was very helpful and provided us with all of the information we needed. Throughout his stay we got daily pictures of Hiro and a video that gave us a progress update; this really was helpful and did allay some of our anxiety. Aleks was Hiro’s trainer and she kept in contact with us on email and made sure we were clear and aligned on expectation. When we went to pick Hiro up Aleks spent 3 hours with us going over all of the work they had done and then working with us to make sure we were happy with what our ongoing regime would look like. Since he has been home Hiro has been amazing. He is responding well to his training plan and we are really looking forward to the ongoing support that forms part of the programme to keep us all focused. All of the staff were attentive and helpful, but special thanks to Aleks who really did provide Hiro and us with a really strong foundation for training. We bring Wilbur our Jack Russell for daycare and he absolutely loves it. He can socialise with other dogs which is always a good thing and he has a whale of a time running around burning off his excess energy and is perfectly safe. We love seeing the photos too, he looks really happy and there have been some great action shots of him. Would thoroughly recommend it to everyone, if you are having a day out and don’t want to leave your dog home alone, if you are having work done in the house and don’t want your dog upset or escaping or if you just want your dog to have a fab day playing with other dogs and being well looked after take them there. Alfie our Weimaraner has always enjoyed top class boarding and Play sessions here, along with his initial training package. We did the same with our latest addition George the Vizla, He has not long completed his Training package and is now utilising the follow up sessions. I can clearly see that George has benefited and clearly doing well following Alek's expert guidance and tuition! (As am I.....)

Our dog stayed at Royvons for 3 weeks for the behaviour modification program. Initially I absolutely hated the idea of leaving her there for so long and was apprehensive about the whole thing. However, I shouldn't have worried as the team kept us updated with daily pictures and emails discussing her progress. In particular, I can't thank Aleks enough for going out of her way to help us. We have continued to work with her for 3 months of aftercare, and have learnt so much about how to understand our dog and give her the best life through continuous training and activities. Aleks really goes the extra mile with every single dog in her care, and her passion for the job is so obvious when you see how much the dogs love her when she works with them, which is exactly what you want from someone looking after your own dog. In fact, I'm now pretty sure our dog loves Aleks more than she loves us! More...

Fantastic for dogs and owners, highly recommended. The dogs clearly love Aleks and respond to her, our dog, Banksy acted as if he'd known her for a long time and clearly liked her. She also spent lots of time giving us advice and tips to go forward in a constructive and pleasant way. My one-year-old German Shepherd Lucy recently went through the Behaviour Modification Program at Royvon. Although I was quite hesitant to send her initially, I have to say I’ve been delighted with the training and the care she received. Lucy has a history of severe dog reactivity and has always been very difficult to manage to the point where I considered re-homing her. However, thanks to outstanding guidance from her trainer Aleksandra she has made fantastic progress over the last few months. We still have a long way to go, but with continued support from Aleks and on-going training I am confident we will overcome Lucy’s issues, and she will be a wonderful companion. Can't speak highly enough of Royvon in Merthyr. Firstly, i needed to book Jax my German Shepherd into the boarding kennel as another kennel turned him away as he is very vocal upon arrival. This was no issue with Royvon who understood Jax very quickly and accepted him with no issues. Post this he loved it there so much he now gets excited when pulling into the car park. Due to the positive experience booking Jax into the boarding kennel I decided to sign Jax up to the 3 week behaviour modification training which is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Not only do I now have a better understanding of the behaviours excibited by Jax I also have a better understanding of different training techniques to help Jax focus. Aleks the trainer has been fantastic with plenty of updates during the residential phase and lots of support and communication post the 3 weeks.

My lovely (but very anxious) labradoodle Stan spent 3 weeks at Royvon on the behaviour modification programme. Stan is very nervous around strangers particularly when they visit our home and often growls when they are at close quarters. Much of his stay at Royvon focussed on helping to build his confidence around new people (and dogs) and mini challenges. I have to say I am so grateful to Aleks and the team for all their help. Miley and Hamish have been to royvon many times,but this stay was a lot longer. Hamish loves it and clearly did not want to get in the car when I picked him up! ! Just want to say thank you for looking after Freddie and Rosie so well once again. They love their "holiday home away from home" and I dont ever worry about them while we're away. It takes me over 2 hours to get to you and it's worth every drop of diesel! Because their visits are always so long, it's great to see all the photos and videos on a daily basis. Training has been a godsend and I no longer have to worry about them terrorising anything that moves when we're out walking! I no longer keep them on a lead and can just enjoy our walks. Thank you to everyone who looked after my little tootsie for the last two weeks. This place is really 5 star. I am really happy with the way my little yorkie was treated and to see how happy she was with the stay at royvon you can really tell that all the staff there love and care for all dogs! ! My little girl stayed here for two weeks and she needed some initial training on a few things which I think has worked the best thing is that they give you really good advice on how to work with your dog and how to give your dog the happiest and best life! We have giant breed dogs and have always had Newfoundland’s and Bordeaux. We genuinely would not leave our dogs anywhere else. The dogs jump out of the car on arrival wagging their tails and happy to see the team. When one of our dogs developed a urine infection she was taken to vets immediately and Royvon messaged me and kept us updated. I love seeing the happy photos daily of their play time activities. We 100 percent trust the Team at Royvon and we love the affection they shower our dogs with. Our dogs always return to us well cared for and without issue. Everyone can relate to the anxiety we experienced when leaving our 6 month old Elkhound (Arkin) for the first time with strangers, however, from the moment we went to see what Royvon Merthyr is all about, we were put at ease by Angharad who was very proactive and helpful. Arkin stayed with Royvon for 7 days, during this time he was trained by Alex and Kirsty; it was evident that Arkin had definitely grasped the basics of lose lead walking over this period, we appreciate only so much can be taught to a dog in a week, but this training has set the foundations on which we can now build upon. In addition to the training, Alex gave us a comprehensive brief with regards to what we need to do to keep up the training when we collected Arkin, this was very helpful indeed. Arkin will be checking back into Royvon in several months, we look forward seeing what he learns over a 2 week stay! Thanks to all at Royvon! More...

We leave our Dalmatian at royvon at least twice per year since he was a puppy and would really struggle to leave him anywhere else. You can tell he loves going there and being away from him is made so much easier when you see daily photos of him having fun, they are always quick to respond to any question we have when we are away which makes our anxieties about leaving him a little easier. 5star service with exceptional staff. Marco has been coming to Royvon for the past 4 years, both for the BMP and as a boarder. He absolutely loves it here and doesn't even give me a backward glance when he's taken to his kennel! I was worried when he first came, as he's a rescue dog and I was afraid that he would not settle, but I couldn't have been more wrong. My three year old German Shepherd has struggled since a pup to come to terms with the outside word and has seen anything and everything outside of her Domestic Environment as a threat. Each time she has been kennelled at Royvon there have been no problems or issues which given her predisposed attitude that in itself is a positive recommendation. She has just completed the Behavioural Modification Program and whilst there is still a lot of hard work ahead she achieved many firsts but the one that really underpins achievement is to socialise with other dogs in a field off lead and not wearing a muzzle. I have German shepherd dog which always stays with Royvon when we go away. I know he is well cared for and has plenty of outdoor time with his human when he's on his holidays. We get daily photos of his holiday adventures and on the odd occasion he seems to be having a better time than us. Royvon isn't the cheapest option but because I know he is happy and cared for its worth the money. More...
