I love this place! The restaurant is owner operated and he has the best customer service! The food is delicious! A co worker of mine swore by this place and ever since I've tried it, I've been hooked! My go to lunch spot!! The chicken kabob plate is my favorite, the hummus is made in house and so good, the feta fries are amazing. A the homemade salsa to put on top of my food is sooooo good!! This place is great. My aunt treated me to lunch and I absolutely love love Mediterranean food.It's a bit far for me, and the plaza that it's in is kind of tucked away and you have to know what to look for. BEEF KEBAB PLATE:They don't skimp on meat here, so just know that you're DEFINITELY getting your money's worth. The season on the meat is stellar. You also get a huge portion of rice, salad, and you can ask for extra tzatziki/yogurt sauce and not get charged extra. The owner also gave me a plate of french fries because my aunt is a regular! I'm also a sucker for fire roasted tomatoes so count me in, dude. Not to mention that you get PITA BREAD TOO. I was so full.If I'm ever in this area I'll probably stop by again. Excellent food in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.  The curry is flavorful and well prepared, and the chicken shwarma was excellent, moist and tender with a good balance of seasonings.  The owner served us, and was attentive without hovering, the rest of the staff seemed engaged, pleasant and very professional.  All in all, this is a hidden gem of a place worth seeking out that offers terrific food, excellent service and very modest prices for the quality you are getting. Came here for lunch with my sister and we both agreed it was the right choice for some good Greek food. Our server made great suggestions to try since it was our first time there and he did not disappoint. Our meals were fresh, crisp, and savory. The rice did not taste oily or dry  and the gyro had a great flavor. My sister chicken salad was very fresh, the chicken was well cooked but not dry which happens a lot. The best Mediterranean restaurant in San Diego. The falafel blows other places out of the water. The chicken kebabs are delicious, tender and juicy. Beef kebabs also have great flavor and tenderness. Ask for added lemon and or mint with the shirazi salad. I previously ordered the shirazi salad and it was rather bland. He explained I could have asked for lemon or mint to add which definitely helps the flavors.

The restaurant is very nice inside and outside with beautiful decor. The food is by far amazing I got the chicken sandwich and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful as for the the sauce it was a great touch and really tasty very highly recommended. Found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to check it out based on the good reviews. I really like Mediterranean food and have tried several places that have been good, but NOT as good as Royal Grill Cuisine. I got the Chicken Kabob Plate with All Rice (no salad). The chicken was deliciously seasoned and was moist, not dry like other places that I have tried. I absolutely loved the rice! It was fluffy and flavorful. The pita bread was also very good. I was treated well and felt like I had the entire restaurant to myself.. which I did since I was the only one there as I came in right when they opened at 11am LOL, but the service was GREAT. I will definitely go back to this place and I will recommend it to anyone that likes delicious Mediterranean food. A must try! More...

I don't know why I have not tried this place sooner but I'm glad I recently did.  Their food is great and fresh.  Love their chicken kabob salad or as an entree. Their chicken kabob is tasty and juicy not dry at all. If you order a combination, it comes with salad, rice and pita bread. They also have big portion but I was hungry today plus it was so good I finished my plate, which is unusual . We also tried the feta garlic fries, which was also pretty good saltiness and garlicky crispy at the same time. My other half ordered a gyro salad and he said it was pretty good as well.  Customer service is great. They always filled our water and checked on us from time to time to see if we needed anything else. Everything here is made fresh and you can taste the difference. I usually get the gyro plate or sandwich depending on how hungry I am. The kabobs are also delicious. The soups taste homemade. I recommend both the vegetable and the lentil. I've had friends who tell me that the curry and burgers are really good but I've never tried them. Best Mediterranean food in the SD area.  This is one of the rare restaurants I go back to over and over again since I typically like to try new places as often as possible. It's not much to look at from the outside but don't let that fool you, the food is quality!  The Lamb and beef platter (or gyro) are top notch, the meat is tender and perfectly cooked with a crispy finish. The Garlic Cilantro Chicken Curry is just amazing. The Royal fries might as well have crack sprinkled on them because once you try them you can't stop yourself from going back for more and then get withdrawals when you haven't had them in a while (I think that's how crack works ). I came here for dinner on Tuesday night for the first time.  We ordered the sampler appetizer platter, the kabob assortment and a gyro. Everything was great! The vegetable samosas were big, crispy, and full of flavor. The falafels had a great texture and even better taste. The gyro was probably one of the best I have had in San Diego. Also, the chicken and beef kabobs were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The only slight things that were good and not great were the hummus and the lamb kabobs. The hummus wasn't bad but it was just a little under seasoned for my taste. The lamb kabobs were also the same for me, the chicken and beef were prepared so great that taking a bite of the lamb made it stand out as just okay. I think my lamb was slightly over cooked because it was a little chewy. Happens to me all the time when I make lamb at home so I can empathize.
