Roy came punctually, provided a fair estimate for the power washing of the entire town home and did a very good job of it.  But he went further.  Observing that, in selling this home, people would be faced with the green stained wall of the next-door neighbor, he washed that too, because - he said - "he was there".  He wouldn't touch one area of the trim, because the siding below it was wobbly and he came back to wash it later, when the siding was replaced.  For neither of these additional services did he ask for remuneration. Excellent work and fast. I took estimates; his was best, yet good quality to boot (new stairway railing, repaired a wall full of big holes and repainted, replaced a broken wooden window frame, put a new door knob and lock on a wooden door.

I requested several estimates to replace some rotting wood where my deck attaches to the house - a tough area to access, and beyond my simple carpentry expertise.  Roy came out the same day to take assess the damage, provided the most reasonable quote of the bunch (some of whom based their quote on pictures they asked me to send), and had the entire job fixed within two days.  He's professional, responsive, and well priced -- and he's a super nice guy and very pleasant to boot!  We'll definitely use him again for future work, and strongly recommend him to anyone needing handyman services. Great follow up and follow-through.  I had some doors fixed due to humidity and settling in an old house.  Roy and his team arrived promptly to fix them, and when they jammed again a few months later (due to a wet summer), he came back to fix them again.  He is hard-working and diligent!

Called Roy Handyman for a quick repair and was not disappointed!  He came earlier than the appointment time, and the guy even put on covers for his shoes when he walked in (it's the little details that help! ). In any case, the guy was fast, efficient, and even answered questions I had about the project. In the end, the guy even offered to lower the price!  I was about to negotiate but he beat me to the punch!  Unreal! They accept cash, credit, or check. But I think the guy said there would be a small fee for credit card charges, so I went with a check instead. I'll definitely be calling him up again if I ever need anything! More...

I wished I hired Roy before my last handyman. I wanted a smartlock installed but instead the last handyman gave me got a crooked lock and a butchered door. Roy basically came in and saved the day or should I say, saved my door. He aligned the doorlock, patched up the butchering job and fixed the sticky door. All within maybe 1.5hrs. Fast, efficient and more importantly, accurate. The adage, measure twice and cut once comes to mind. If you want something done right, hire Roy. I made an excellent choice in selecting Roy Handyman. First, he's responsive and trustworthy.  He shows up on time and follows through on his word. I recently hired him to help me to design a more functional closet.   My closet is narrow and oddly shaped so I knew it would be a challenge.  He left most of the design to me but was extremely helpful in helping me once my design went south due to a misunderstanding.  He came up with a solution that worked for me and my closet.  I am very happy with the outcome and look forward to working with Roy on other projects again soon. Anytime I think of Roy the handyman, I imagine him with a long  super hero cape coming to save the day! Because that is what he did. All the reviews are true about how nice, polite and respectful Roy and his workers are. He is honest and upfront. Water from my bathroom upstairs has been leaking to my basement. I was terrified on what the cost and how long it would take to get it done. He told me a date and came on time and set to work. I had drywall I needed replaced and 5 light fixtures that needed to be installed. I called Roy because of the excellent reviews he has on yelp. We hired him to knock down a huge wall mirror that looked like it had been there since the 80's. He was very quick to respond with a quote request. When he arrived, he had the mirror down in 5 minutes. I knew that drywall was going to have to be done and he knocked that out quicker than I expected too and did a great job as well. Cesar and Roy did a great job with my projects.  Cesar assembled a serving cart, transplanted several large container plants, and removed old carpet and nails from hardwood stairs.  He was efficient, effective, and meticulously clean.  Roy installed stair treads and also outdoor decorative lights around the yard.  He was skilled and fast.  The price estimate was fair, accurate, and worth it.  I will definitely use Roy Handyman services again. I had an emergency the other day.  My basement staircase decided not to function anymore, while I was on the 2nd step from the top.  I tried finding other handymen, but Roy was the first to respond positively.  He showed up pretty quickly (remember--I was trapped in the basement), and he immediately set to work.  He did an excellent job.  The steps are better than they were when they built the house!He wouldn't leave the basement until he knew I was safely upstairs.  He was a great guy through the whole process.The price was pretty darned good, too.I'm sure to use his services regularly in the future. Roy is great and reasonably priced. Our townhouse is around 16 years old and things have been slowly but steadily breaking around the house. Our shower door wasn't closing, the smoke detectors on our high ceilings needed to be replaced, garage door seal needed to be replaced... you get the idea. I had gotten an outrageous estimate before calling Roy, and researched the fair market value for all these things I needed taken care of around the house. I called around to see what others were charging and it ranged from $65-$85 per hour. Roy charges $75/hour which is right in the middle. The reason I chose Roy over the slightly cheaper option is because of his approach. Before rushing to tell me that things needed to be replaced entirely, he took the time to try and fix everything first. He could have easily told me our shower door needed to be replaced as it turned out that it was improperly installed from the beginning and there was a chance it wasn't salvageable. Roy said that he would try to fix it and see what he could do. He did the same with the door leading out to the deck. As a homeowner, I appreciated that he just didn't tell me oh, this needs to be replaced, because I think that's more of the mentality in the home repair industry to just replace things without assessing if it really needs to be replaced yet. It turned out shower door was repairable but the deck door wasn't. I was happy to not have been replacing a shower and a deck door. We had a large (12 inch) hole in our drywall in the kitchen that needed immediate repair, and after reading the other favorable reviews Roy had received on Yelp, decided to give him a call. Now here I sit, not even six hours after I did an internet search for a "handyman," on a Sunday morning, and my wall is beautifully repaired and painted! That is truly amazing in this day and age, let me tell you. He responded immediately to my inquiry, quoted me a price, showed up within a couple of hours and completed the work in a professional and polite manner -- he carefully cleaned up the work space and we are so pleased we have hired him to come back this week to repair a leaky shower -- the source of which he quickly diagnosed.I cannot recommend Roy Handyman highly enough, and am thrilled to have a new go-to person for home repairs and maintenance. I would definitely recommend Roy Handyman services. Everything about Roy and his business is extremely professional. He is prompt, his workmanship is exceptional, and he keeps the work area clean, which is paramount to me. In addition, his rates are reasonable. I had Roy fix an annoying and finicky smoke detector on our second floor. He also cleaned the dryer vents the first time we used his business - to make sure it was a good fit. We were so pleased with his work that we had him come back and do some painting in the living room and some work in our master bath.
