Roundbox is an amazing gym with super fun workouts and machines! The exercises that Curt teaches are really dynamic so they help strengthen a range of muscles. It's smaller compared to the gym franchises around Washington, but his class sizes are small so it feels spacious. Plus, you're using his own designed equipment and they're fun to use! I'd definitely recommend Roundbox if you're looking for something more unique and fresh in your workouts. More...

The system is solid, and the equiptment is condusive for total strengthening/ rehabilitation of injured joints/ muscles. Once upon a time I was in great shape, could pump out pushups, deadlift, passed an FBI fitness test, and generally kicked ass. Then I started a business, work at least 12 hours a day, and decided to live on a credit account with my body, planning to repay the loan when there was "more time" in my days. Well, fast forward a few years and I found myself way over my credit limit with nowhere else to borrow from physically. I gained weight, lost all the muscle I had worked hard to build, and now that I am in my 40s, it does not fall off as soon as I decide I want to move around again. Enter Curt and Roundbox. Easily one of the best decisions i have made was restarting my fitness journey here. I actually look forward to my workouts. They are efficient and effective. I always leave feeling great. When I fall off the wagon, Curt gets me back on. The Roundbox workouts are fun, challenging, and do not hurt me the way other movements, kettlebells, etc. have. Curt’s Roundbox is such a terrific place to work towards your fitness goals. Curt listens to what you want to accomplish, works with any injuries you might have to get results. It’s not a traditional gym but there’s a very inviting, welcoming vibe. I appreciated Curt working with my schedule for workouts. Results come fast and I’m never nervous about hurting myself. Roundbox is seriously effective. I was hurting from kettlebells and CrossFit and Curt's program has me building muscle without pain. And Curt's created a super friendly, inclusive, positive environment. Nothing to be intimidated about. I found the location super since Beacon Hill is lacking these types of fitness options. I started working with Curt Ligot after spraining both of my wrists and one ankle. He has been very supportive and always adjusts the exercises based on how I am feeling. It has been several months, and my injuries have healed. My doctor and chiropractor have said they are fine, and my exercises - like pushups - indicate that as well. Curt is amazing, and I am so happy and appreciate that he took me on and helped rehabilitate my injuries. I would highly recommend anyone going to Roundbox Fitness and Curt! More...

I first came to Curt with a bad hamstring injury, I was in constant pain and discomfort. After a few weeks of training I was relatively pain free and had gotten gotten my full range of motion back. I teamed up with Curt for my professional MMA career, through his strength and conditioning I was able to secure my 3rd win in the cage. When I started working out with Curt I was considering retiring from playing sports, in particular softball. I had torn my ACL and my knee and quads were very weak, I was gaining weight at a rapid pace due to been inactive because of the pain. My first workout was eye opening! At first glance it looked too unconventional, see I've been going to big name gyms and getting little results but, I was impressed with his approach to my particular physical issues. I was hooked, not only is it effective it's also a lot of fun. I lost 25 lbs and not only do I continue to play softball I'm playing better than ever, my knees and quads are in great shape and my entire body is transformed as well. Coming back from injury can be dicey, particularly with concussion and whiplash, which is part of my recovery story from a rear ender last April. I can’t count how many times I’ve come out of a physical therapy appointment disappointed and bored. Like, okay I’m going to do these repetitive exercises how many times a day? Ugh. Considering the options to get back to my joy—jogging and bouldering—I found yoga to be unwieldy and, no shocker that shaking my noggin around the track wasn't going to be a smart choice.Through a friend I discovered Ligot Training Systems (LTS), a small start up in the Beacon Hill district of Seattle. After the first session I was hooked. Low impact? A workout you didn’t know was happening until day two (Hello? That muscle you forgot about. Surprise! Core strength rebound!). After several sessions I marveled to notice improved overall stability and specific core strength. Curt's been training me for about a year and a half. I've been consistently going twice a week. He has definitely helped me with my strength which was nonexistent prior to coming to him as well as getting my body as limber as possible. I was always afraid to lift weights because I dislocated my left elbow about 8 years ago and did not get physical therapy for it at all. My left arm doesn't do what my right arm does because of the injury and it was quite weak. I was scared to feel pain or re-injure it. Curt has trained me to where I am strong enough to carry cases of water, multiple bags of groceries, and about 40-50lb suitcase up and down stairs racing to catch a subway and train in NYC with no pain and much ease. I'm only 4'9 so carrying large items had been challenging in the past. One of the best things my body loves about his program is the stretching portion. THE BEST THING EVER!!! Curt is an amazing instructor. He really knows what he's talking about, when it comes to how the body should perform. His program emphasizes strength training through core movement, and as a martial arts instructor and avid golfer, I can't speak highly enough on how much training with him has helped me in both areas. I can throw better strikes and kicks without any pain, and I even added 20 yards to my drives. When I started training with Curt I was looking for a strength trainer in the south end to help me cross-train for cycling. It's been about a year since I started and I can't imagine what I must have felt like before. I've got so much more than I imagined from coming here. Yeah, I'm a bit faster on the bike, but I'm also more flexible and more agile. Curt is an observant trainer - and tailors each workout to the individual. I've been with this program for about a month now and I've seen and felt great results in that short amount of time. If you are looking for a no nonsense, high intensity, overall strength and conditioning type of workout this is where you get it. It's pretty much the opposite of push-ups, treadmills, and, pausing to adjust weights. These workouts will make you sore in muscles you didn't know you had. I recently moved up to the PNW for a job as a firefighter and was looking for a gym. I tried boxing gyms, cross fit gyms, personal trainers, but nothing felt right. After a shoulder injury, I wanted a great workout without compromising the injury further. That's when I met Curt, we spoke about the injury and he has been able to keep me fit all while bullet proofing my shoulder and I'm in better shape than I could've imagined. If you've ever had an injury that you were worried would hinder your fitness come in and talk with their team. The atmosphere here is second to none. Small groups that are very supportive of each other and a great sense of community. I've seen people with all kinds of different fitness levels and backgrounds in there and the workouts are customized to whichever level your body is at. When I first came to Roundbox I had just torn my hamstring. I was in an incredible amount of pain and was struggling to do basic movements. With the extensive work I did with my coach Curt Ligot I was able to regain my pre-injury form and repeat to MMA competition, in which I continued to enlist Roundbox as my primary strength and conditioning location. I have tried numerous workouts from Krav Maga to regular gyms, DDP Yoga and military style training. Nothing even comes close to Roundbox. I felt energized after the workout instead of depleted. Curt and Jared are nothing short of amazing. The programs that they tailor to their clients (both on-site and remotely) are full-body engaging tune-ups. You can even gain dietary advice and develop better habit in that arena as well. Just what the doctor ordered! It's great to experience a routine where you can push yourself as hard as you like, or are capable of, all while the routines' specifics evolve over time and continue to up your game. So I had just moved to Seattle from sunny SoCal and found myself in a horrible rut that typically found me on my couch curled up with my dogs and best friend Ben & Jerry's. .. I think it was right around Halloween when I scrolled by Curt's Facebook ad. I answered and a day or so later heard back from Curt Ligot, and at that point he honestly changed my life. I had pushed the scale at 236lbs, and was being told by my doctor that I had tested with border line diabetes with levels at 6.4. I didn't really have a local support system, knew no one and was starting a new job in a new city and rather down in the dumps. My knees hurt, my back was sore and had gotten real lazy. Living in Kent, I was hesitant on the drive to Beacon Hill to see what Curt was working with. However, I got a good feeling from talking with him and felt a level of comfort so I decided to go in and give it a try, heck it was a free session with a trainer. I had sessions in the past (LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Bally's, Gold's) with trainers and all were basically the same. Do lots of cardio and train on this program that everyone else they coach are on, and no need to listen to what the client wanted or was telling was ailing them. So to meet with Curt and in one session know this was something I had to put all my heart and soul into, it was different. He listened to me about my aching knees, sore back and all my employees that lead to a daily migraine headache. Obviously abs are made in the kitchen just as much as they are in the gym. But things seemed to happen quicker with LTS. Not only did my knees feel better, I had more energy and desire to eat healthier. I talked to Curt during my sessions on food, and health ideas out of the gym. It was awesome and just as important as the sessions. He gave me tips and pointed out a couple key factors I would've never thought were not the healthiest choices to eat.I could seriously go on and on about how beneficial this program is/was to me. Whether you work with Curt or Jared you will get a great attitude, complete attention, 100% support, motivation, advice and all in an environment that makes you want to learn and grow as a person. Before you know it my twice a week visits went to 4 times a week, and the drive from Kent was never an issue I welcomed it. Working with LTS helped me reduce my body fat from 28% to the 18% range, my doctor flipped out when 9 months later I was testing at 5.3 range and completely in the healthy range, see you later diabetes!! Oh and not to mention I now hover in the 185 - 195lbs in weight, I stayed dessert free for over 200 days with the help of Curt and team.My new lifestyle of exercise and eating healthy is now who I am. Working with LTS has aided in my ability to become stronger both mentally and physically. Most importantly, he believes in me. There's not a day that goes by that I turn down any chance to be challenged. Having done various exercise programs in the past - power lifting, body building, progressive calisthenics etc I thought I knew what I was doing . . . what Curt knows and has been able to train me on has flipped my whole idea of fitness and athletic performance upside down. The idea of being powerful and moving with fluidity, speed and power has not only made my body move like I am 10 years younger, but is also the most fun and engaging workouts I've ever done!Yes, the workouts can be tough and you will sweat and work, but you will look forward to each workout. I have been training at Ligot Training Systems for 8 months. Before that I tried several gyms and worked out with several trainers but, never felt like I was learning or gaining anything. A friend of mine invited me to try Ligot Systems and I was hooked immediately, the trainers are knowledgeable and very friendly and they make sure to create a workout that fits your needs. Getting older equals longer recovery time from injuries or even muscle recovery when working out. Curt Ligot has made that issue a myth to my fitness well being. His methods leave me waking up the next day without any aches or pains, neither in my muscles nor my joints (especially my previously injured areas). Curt and Jared at Ligot Training Systems are awesome at what they do. They work with whatever issues your facing when it comes to getting in shape. My issues tend to be injuring myself over and over. I have bad knees, shoulders, among other things. Even with these issues their workout regimen allows me to continue working out and actually enjoy the workouts. I join Ligot training systems less than 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. Having trained with weights my whole life I was very skeptical the first time that I walked through the doors thinking "yeah right. this will be a breeze." I was so surprised at how much of a workout this really was that I decided to join for a month to see if I would actually notice a difference. Now I am hooked! I look forward to getting there in the morning and to see what the trainer has for me that day. My arms that have always been big and I have been so self conscience about are now toned and show defininate lines of muscle without looking bulky like a mans arms. My whole body is taking shape and I am getting a waist and thinning my legs as well as the rest of my body. I am absolutely in love with this gym. If nothing else, try it....just once. It is awesome to have a trainer with you the whole time letting you know what you are doing right and wrong with knowledge like I have never experienced. I will probably be one of their lifetime members. My aches and pains are for the most part gone and I feel 10 years younger than I have in years. When I was training for my first Squash World Masters back in 2012, Curt gave me an amazing deal to try out his program for about a month just before my big event in Birmingham, England. With-in a few days, I could notice the difference in my speed on the court and core strength of my stroke play. I attribute my top-16 finish despite being an outsider to Curt's amazing program that uses one's own body as one piece to generate and transfer maximum force when and where needed. Two years later, just when I was getting ready for this year's World Masters in Hong Kong, I severely strained my right knee ligaments and tendons so I was not sure how it will all play out. After a few weeks rest, I reached out to Curt and this time, I trained more moderately with his associate Jared but with-in a couple of weeks I was off to full strength and by the time I arrived in Hong Kong I was fully ready. Hong Kong had even harder draw with 98 participants from all over the world in my category, I did well to get 6 matches in, with 4 wins and 2 losses to finish in 16-20 bracket. I witnessed a friend transform his body over a couple of months and wondered what his 'secret' was ...turns out he was a client of Curt Ligot.      I have always put effort into working out to stay in shape...running, hot yoga, pilates, barre, but I hit a plateau and was just maintaining my body weight. I was not meeting my fitness goals, getting stronger, losing weight or more toned anymore.     With Curt Ligot's Training System, I have overcome the plateau and am watching my body become leaner, firmer, stronger and I have so much more energy.      His workouts are comprised of circuits that incorporate multiple muscles and flowing motions into each exercise. Lots of stretching, core work and high intensity cardio. The exercise technique is easy to learn and I find myself dripping sweat and just really getting a good, productive session in.      Ligot's Training System is so good for my body. Within 6 weeks, I lost 10 pounds and 4 dress sizes, incredible results. I see Curt and/or Jared twice a week. I also run a couple times a week and have been watching my diet, but Ligot's method is definitely the game changer. Joining this gym has seriously taken my fitness to the next level.
