Our family has gone through a lot of change, and this included our dog. She went to work with my husband every day, so she was used to people , but had never really been around other dogs. She was very intimidated when I first brought her to Rompin' Rovers, but Chris and staff took the time to gradually get her used to being around dogs. Now she is in a dog group, and squeals with excitement when we pull up in the morning. More...

I adopted a lab/boxer/pit mix puppy from the spca two months ago and I am in over my head with his energy. My boyfriend and I hired Armando and in just two sessions, I already have a whole new dog. He's learning to follow commands and I'm learning how to manage his puppy energy. It's made the household more structured and happier for everyone. Armando is fantastic at replying to messages, setting appointments, offering suggestions, etc. He genuinely cares about what he does and it shows in his teaching. I wouldn't let anyone else train my baby. More...

We worked with Armando on training our girl, Suki and could not be happier we did!! She's now always one of the more well behaved dogs when we we're out and about, good listener, more relaxed and confident with people and dogs when she was a little nervous around both at the beginning, and overall just an even better version of herself! Armando was great to work with, very helpful in training us as much as Suki. We highly recommend Rompin Rovers to anyone! More...

*Highly recommend Rompin' Rovers!!!! My son's girlfriend rescued a Papillon 2 years ago, but when they moved in together, he started acting aggressively every time my son would approach her, being an extremely possessive and territorial little guy. Since I live alone, I thought it would be a good idea to bring him home with me. Since then, twice I've had male workers come in for different reasons and he charged at their private areas. And he charged at one of my neighbors (male) when visiting. See the pattern? He also demonstrated a bit of aggressiveness towards other dogs in the building. All this probably to history prior being rescued. I started looking for places nearby that offered dog training, even though he was well trained, maybe there was an underlying trauma that might be corrected with training. Finally found a place, called and Armando, the owner and dog trainer, offered to do a free evaluation. That free evaluation was around 2 hrs long! FREE! That was 5 training sessions ago, and he is doing so much better. I did not expect for it to be a quick fix. As Armando mentioned we had to go back to basic training in order to tackle his aggressiveness. I have been leaving him for training sessions and doggie daycare and I could not be more pleased. When I pick him up he's so happy and so tired and the same time. Armando, Emily and Chris and very welcoming and helpful, as well as very caring. You can tell they are dog lovers! The fees are straight forward. Daycare pricing is very competitive. I want to be brutally honest, at the beginning I thought the training fee was a bit high, but I was desperate. Just a few weeks into his training, after seeing the improvement in such a short time, and how much Armando cares and all the extra time he puts in, totally worth it. He takes time out of his busy schedule to give you an update. And when you pick your fur baby up, he shows you what he worked on that day plus trains with you, so you can follow this at home. The place is extremely clean considering the fact there are so many dogs there. As I said before, I highly recommend this place. I have worked in different fields of customer service for many years, and having said that, I don't recommend places lightly. They work with your baby, with you, to make sure you get what you paid for. Not only is the customer service outstanding, the way they care for your baby, it does make this place perfect for you and your baby! More...

My husband and I adopted a 7 year old Ridgeback/Hound mix we named Gandalf from the SPCA. Being a rescue with no microchip, we had no history on him. We have 2 cats at home and wanted to be sure they coexist safely and that our Gandalf learned basic obedience. We brought him to Armando and decided it was the right fit for us. In just 2 sessions our boy warmed up to Armando and was already showing signs of obedience! Every time my husband and I took Gandalf to his training sessions we grew prouder. He was excelling! He graduated his program and now has training for life because of the package we purchased. He also goes to daycare there occasionally to help him learn to socialize with other dogs. Whenever we pull up, Gandalf is so excited to be there! He truly loves learning and loves Armando. The entire staff is super friendly and communication is great! Armando has even made himself available anytime by phone or text if we have questions. I highly recommend this place whether it’s training or daycare and we will definitely be taking advantage of their boarding facilities when we are out of town. Thanks to everyone at Rompin Rovers for making this process easy and wonderful! We are proud parents of a graduate! More...

Rompin Rovers helped us train our rescue Canaan Mia (M. I. A.) who was brought from Afghanistan to the US by troops. She was a stray that they fed and played with while on deployment. She went from a "pee and poop" anywhere and everywhere and run away and pull me down when I tried to walk her to an obedient, well mannered dog. We are still working on assimilation with other dogs. After trying to walk him and having him pretty much drag me down the sidewalk I knew I needed some intense professional help. After an evaluation, Sampson entered the doggy daycare and training program. The owner Armando Acosta assured me that he was very trainable. We noticed changes as soon as the 2nd day! Armando made sure that when I picked Sampson up he not only told me what they worked on but also showed me so that I could work with him at home. The whole Rompin Rovers team was wonderful to work with. They all took a part in training Sampson. He would get excited every time I dropped him off. I can't say enough good things about Armondo and Rompin Rovers! I came to them with a very difficult fear aggressive dog. He was abused as a puppy before I adopted him, and he is terrified of meeting new people . I had two other trainers who were unable to work with him - one of them was never even able to approach him! Armondo and his staff have the way with dogs, and a deep compassion for troubled dogs. We began an intensive dog training regimen, and within the first week saw worlds of improvement. My pup is much happier and more confident with this training. Armondo was never harsh or unkind in his methods. I recommend him to anyone, whether you have a new happy pup or an aggressive dog with a past. They offer a full range of services, training, daycare, and boarding. You won't regret it! More...
