RMSD is an awesome place to work out/ learn how to hold your own if you are ever in a compromising situation. The class sizes vary, as do the levels of the people you take classes with, so it really fosters a sense of comraderíe. Everyone is happy to help you master a new concept. Bridgett and the other members of the gym are encouraging and never make you feel intimidated by their abilities. Every time you complete a class, you leave feeling more competent and capable than before. As a woman, the skills learned here have made me feel strong and more confident in general.I highly recommend this gym!!! More...

I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I signed up for the 6-week challenge. 17 pounds (lost) later, I am a member and enjoying every minute of it. Except the burpees.

Bridgett and her gym are AMAZING! She really knows what she's doing and is knowledgeable in every aspect of self defense and health! Our kids LOVED the self defense camp! They didn't want to leave and are begging to go back. The skills they learned, standing up to bullies, getting targeted by strangers, etc, were realistic and age appropriate, and they had a lot of fun learning how to stay safe.

Q&As

Fitness is as individual as the person. We ensure our group classes can be tailored to any age group, weigh, or fitness ability. No two classes will be the same in this gym, peaking the interest of the student and causing muscle confusion for faster results.

Hard work and accountability. There is no magic "pill" or secret sauce here. The only way to get the body of your dreams is to work hard both in and out of the gym. This includes taking a hard honest look at yourself and being honest about your bad habits, diet, and goals.

I love seeing the transformation in my students. Not just physically, but mentally too. Krav Maga is the best way to build self confidence, respect, and self-worth.

I trained in Krav Maga over six years in California under Master Instructor and Vanguard Krav maga creator Everst Pepper. When my husband told me we were moving to Colorado, the hardest part for me was leaving my Krav Maga gym and the family I had made there. So I became a licensee and have replicated the training environment I had in California.

Our method is different than other Krav Maga gyms. There is no ego here, no attitude, and no one is better than anyone else, regardless of rank. Our students are our family and their personalities match that of mine: laid back, enthusiastic, dedicated, and ready to work hard. We have a great time every night and utilize our proven 3F system: Fun, Fit, and Fierce.

Vanguard Krav Maga® (VKM) began development in 2009 with the purpose of designing a system that would truly be relevant to people here in the United States. We understand that everyone has varying physical capabilities and desires for training and that the typical approach to krav maga can place limits on people and their advancement. Krav Club 4 kids is the premier children’s self-defense program in Colorado. In a world full of bullies and predators, every child deserves to be taught the skills needed to keep them safe when mom and dad may not be around. The Vanguard Krav Maga curriculum we use is tailored to combat against common situations our children may face. Not only do we teach physical skills to combat an attack, we teach awareness to hopefully avoid the attack, and what to do after an attack should one occur.

We offer regular Krav4Kids Club as well as numerous after school enrichment programs. Give your kid the best chance possible in life. Unfortunately, the world is a scary place. Our proven system gives your child the tools necessary to walk with peace and handle any given situation.

Ages 7-12.

OUR METHOD
Kids learn best through play. At Rocky Mountain Self Defense, your child will learn valuable self-defense and fitness techniques through games, exercises, and classroom instruction. We utilize our proven 3F system. Fun. Fit. & Fierce.

FUN
No day at our camp will be the same. Not only do we play a variety of games to teach fitness and self defense, we play games to increase your child’s confidence, help them make new friends, and keep them interested each day while learning valuable life lessons.

FIT
No video games and TV here. Your child will be up and moving! We begin each day with a fitness warm – up, followed by games and self-defense training to keep their hearts pumping all day long. Circuit training style workouts, obstacle courses, problem solving and critical thinking skills will also be incorporated.

FIERCE
Krav Maga is Hebrew for “Contact Combat.” Our proven method gives your child the skills to protect themselves in numerous real life situations. Our techniques ensure your child will walk with confidence and be able to protect themselves from both children and adults.

Forget everything you think you know about high-intensity workouts. Because INSANITY turns old-school interval training on its head.

If you’ve ever been to a Spin class, you know how that works. You motor along at a moderate pace for awhile – then all at once, you kick up your speed and heart rate – just for a minute or so. After that, it’s back to a lower gear, giving you plenty of time to catch your breath.

But with INSANITY, you do exactly the opposite. You work flat out in 3 to 5-minute blocks, and take breaks only long enough to gulp some air and get right back to work. It’s called Max Interval Training, because it keeps your body working at maximum capacity through your entire workout. You keep pushing your limits – so your body has to adapt. That’s how you get in such insane shape in just 60 days.

Owner and Lead Trainer, Bridgett Comer, is an Insanity Live certified instructor. The live program gives students the authentic Insanity experience just like the DVD’s but in a group setting with new moves and constant variation to keep your body challenged and you coming back for more.

THE INSANITY LIVE WORK OUT
Get ready for the most insane 50 min of your life. We start off with a warm-up and focus block to get your blood flowing and mind focused. The we follow with 8.5 min of plyometrics and speed, 4 exercises, 3 sets each. Next we do 3 sets of strength and stability, followed by agility and coordination, to work your muscles and mind. We end the class with abs and core, then a much deserved cool down. There may even be a little surprise round in there to make sure you are digging deep!

Short on time, not a problem. We also offer a 30 min Insane Strength, Abs, and Core option to get you strong and fit in less time.
