My cousin got married here the evening of December 3rd. The crystal garden was absolutely stunning, the food was great and the decor was even better. Just got married this past weekend over at Castle McCulloch in the Great Hall. I also had my reception in there. I had a couple rows set up in the front for our immediate families and the rest of the room already set up with tables for the reception and the rest of the guests sat at those. Mainly since we didn't have a "cocktail hour" and no where for guests to go during the changeover and we had heavy h'or de'vours for the main meal. Also helped save money with not having to "reset the room" in between ceremony and reception. Had 55 people total. It was definitely a beautiful place. Everyone kept complimenting the room, staircase, and of course, the chandelier. The building manager that day was very helpful and accommodating in making final room arrangement changes.
There was a fraternity party going on in the Crystal Garden Ballroom but the Castle workers made sure to keep them separate and we never knew they were there. (aka NO Party Crashers!)
It's a little expensive if you have a decent size guest list (that can fit in the Hall) but not so much that it discouraged me from making it my venue. (From Raleigh Area, it was actually on the cheaper end in venue price). But make sure to ask EVERYTHING thats included in the room charges (and bar service if you have one). My husband and I were married on the hillside terrace two weeks ago. We had our reception in the Crystal Garden ballroom. Angie was our on-site coordinator that evening . She was amazing!! She made sure all of our questions and concerns were taken care of promptly. In addition, she worked really well with my wedding planner, @[66504116:Amber Diamond]. We were married at the crystal garden this last Sunday and everything was PERFECT! Kellie was amazing! When all the guests arrived I started panicking and asked Kellie if everything was okay and she made sure for me NOT to worry about anything! Thank you so much Kellie!!

After a year of planning and anticipation for my daughters day, I can happily say that the Castle and every single one of the staff made that day absolutely wonderful. The ceremony on the patio with the reception in the castle afterwards went perfectly. Our Coordinator, Elaina was on top of everything and coordinated with the DJ and catering to ensure that every detail was addressed. I can't be happier with everything from start to finish.
the only SNAFU that day was that I was stung by a bee 1.5 hours before walking my daughter down the aisle. As I am allergic to bees, that made for quite the mad dash to the store for benadryl and ibuprophen. We had the pleasure to get to work with Paul and Kellie who went beyond everything to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible for us. We live in Florida and we planned our wedding at Castle McCulloch so all of our family and friends could attend. They made sure everything was set up to the way we wanted helped out on the timing of entering and pointed out the best places on the grounds for the best photos. I was married this past Friday, March 24, at the castle. We used the great hall for the ceremony and the reception; the Queens Chambers for the cocktail hour and bar and photo booth during the reception. The day of manager, Angela, was great and communicated with me a lot during the night about little issues that may have happened. The evening went very well and I have no complaints there.

If I could take away just half a star I would due to the before wedding meetings. Paulette and Amanda were very nice and helpful BUT whatever programs they use for their calendar/accounts is terrible! It takes forever to get into any of their information and in a transfer to another program they missed a payment and had I not paid attention to previous emails, they'd have charged me almost another $300. Love the new party format for Aug...the island paradise theme is a laid back and relaxing answer to the usually wild partying of say the beer and fear bash, which is always a great time as well. I would recommend emphasizing the "fantasy" aspect of the paradise theme and to be honest there was slightly too much 80s 90s pop music...almost every area actually..and pop is great unless it's every room..The grounds seem to just get more beautiful every year, Again, great new format for aug..well see you again in Oct!!! Beautiful venue. We got married 10/14 and it couldn’t have been better! Staff was lovely. My only issue is we that in the whole planning process we dealt with so many different people. I felt like we kept getting handed off to someone new every other month. Everyone I talked to was very nice, but I kept having to say certain things over and over again to make sure everything was perfect because I would say it to one person then next time I called someone else would ask the same question. Malaysia Castle helped us make sure everything was in place for our wedding with everything from making sure the order of the people in the wedding party came down she was on point and very courteous while addressing any family concerns. The person in charge I didn't ask her name went out of the way to help me leave the wedding. I'm having problems with a knee and walking with a cane and I'm in a lot of pain and she got a wheel chair and had a very pleasant young man wheel me up to meet my husband waiting with the car for me. I've been to the Castle a total of three times in the past year. Last Halloween was amazing and was my favorite of the many haunted tours I visited with elaborate decorations and a top notch staff. Then there was Mardi Gras and this past weekends Beach Bash. Both were fantastic parties with great acts and wonderful refreshments. I did miss having the one awesome hula hoop performer as well as the pole dancers and pyrotechnics from Mardi Gras. But nonetheless a great party. Thanks for your wonderful establishment. More...

My daughter was married here. It rained but the Castle has that covered with humongous tents to seat a few hundred. Along with several options to choose from including the (actual) castle, crystal garden and outdoor wedding areas, the staff is very accommodating. Simply beautiful, breathtaking wedding venue. My fiancé and I are professional wedding photographers and had the opportunity to capture a wedding at Castle McCulloch a couple weeks ago. We were impressed by the layout and beauty of the venue, but the WOW factor was being able to work with the venue coordinator Malaysia! She was everything we could ask for and more when we think of what a wedding host should be. Not only is her personality one of a kind, but she went ABOVE AND BEYOND on multiple occasions during the day to make our bride feel like a queen on her day. Wonderful time at Mardi Gras 2018. Drinks are pricey, but plenty of fun venues (the band Stereo Dolls was awesome)! Liked that there was plenty of security, so it feels very safe in a large crowd.

Purchased VIP tickets and it was worth every penny to have a seat in venues, our own servers, and a VIP area with regular bathrooms (the general bathrooms are port-a-potties).

My wedding was actually here and it was the best night of my life! We have visited the castle multiple times for meetings and the staff is very helpful. High Point is very lucky to have this beautiful castle so close. There is a Queens Chamer downstairs that has a bar, an outdoor patio and the Great Hall. In planning an express timeline wedding in six months, we discovered a treasure. Castle McCulloch and the Crystal Garden is a historic site in the Triad that accommodates an incredibly BEAUTIFUL wedding reception. The venue and price goes unmatched for the wonderful experience. The well-oiled wedding machine that we encountered made every single detail a pleasure! The Castle manager Kellie is a superb representative to make all come together for the venue. The preferred vendors with Castle McCulloch that we chose were absolute professionals at the highest level and surpassed our wedding dreams.
Taylor at Castle Catering is the tie that binds. She was our point of contact throughout the entire planning phase and she was the success of our wedding reception. I loved how she saw our vision and executed every element with elegance. Because of Taylor ‘s confidence and ability to guide, advise, and be an outstanding reference for our wedding, she will always be recalled as our guiding light! Hannah with Castle Catering finished the reception strong by making sure that the event flowed smoothly and even down to the last second as we wrapped up the event, Hannah was a champ! Let me discuss the Castle Catering wedding reception dinner… YUM, absolutely delicious! Kudos to Angie and Crew and all involved in creating the edible delights. Their servers, wait staff, bartenders(Mario) all made a great impression on our guests. As I write this, I am over the moon excited that Castle McCulloch and Castle Catering are the ultimate wedding professionals working together to make our wedding reception a lovely success. I also strongly recommend attending the Castle’s seasonal Eat, Drink, and Be Married Bridal Show Expo to meet the wondrous wedding vendors in person and see the Castle in it’s glory.

The only thing is the restrictions they have for events; however, I am sure that you will find that with any venue and I would not have wanted to change my venue for anything! I absolutely loved getting married at Castle McCulloch! I can honestly say that I had the perfect wedding. Everything was beautiful, you really don't need to spend much in decoration because the castle and its surroundings are enough! We invited 80 people so we had the ceremony in the Great Hall Patio and the reception inside the Great Hall (castle). Since we hired one of the preferred caterers (Castle Catering) we got a 30% discount (final price $3,000). We got married on a Friday night, I don't know if a Saturday wedding has a different price. The castle included tables and chairs, water and sodas, bartender, among others.
We also decided to pay for their bar service (premium beer and wine, around $1,000 for 80 guests), which was a great deal because the bar has to be in the Queen's Chambers (downstairs room), so we got that room included without having to rent it separately and paying more for it. Since we got the Queen's Chambers with the bar we decided to send our guests for appetizers there while we took pictures in the outside area.
We met for the final contract with Paulette and she was so nice and easy to work with. On the wedding day our event manager was Karen and she was great too. The only backdrop is that they don't have a bathroom in the bridal room, but you can live without it.
Our photographer was Bert Reed and he was fabulous, beautiful pictures and very helpful. Our dj Bradley was from Anything DJ. I definitely advice to go with the castle's preferred vendors because they already know each other and have great communication. Overall our wedding was around $11,200 (I purchased all the flowers and decorations for the ceremony, the bridge and the bouquets, they are really easy to make). More...
