Rockford City Market is a family friendly outdoor event on Friday nights during the summer. They have added a new indoor space, but I have yet to visit it. There is live music, a variety of food trucks, food tents, beer tents. There are also a bunch of local craft vendors and our local 815 t-shirt shop, jewelry, clothing, baked goods, beef jerky, crepes, cheese, gorgeous flowers, wood fired pizza, hotdogs, pulled pork & brisket nachos, burgers, fresh fruits and vegetables. You name it, it's probably there! It's crowded, but the lines move quickly. The space is right along the Rock River and it's a great way to connect with old friends. More...

We visit the market 4 or 5 times a summer. We enjoy it very much. Friendly vendors with a good mix of vendor merchandise. Nice variation of live music entertainment. Good food and cold beer.

Then it’s off to get a Churros for me and The RMTD Trolley Car driver who returns me to The Discovery Center. Lately, I’ve been going to The Villa Capri for dinner.
