I can't begin to say what Gretchen and the Rocket Science team gave to us by planning our wedding! We felt at ease, understood and excited by all of Gretchen's creativity at every step of planning. Being out-of-state and trying to plan the most important event of our lives felt nearly impossible, but we had a partner the whole way through that brought our vision (and more) to life and took away all of the extra baggage of stress. Gretchen & her team gave us a truly dreamy wedding. The day-of coordination was impeccable - everything went smoothly/as planned, and my husband and I felt truly cared for on our special day. We were referred to Gretchen with Rocket Science Weddings & Events for wedding planning for our destination wedding last fall, and she was extremely helpful in managing the wedding process. We knew we needed a planner, because we needed help both with design ideas as well as project management, and Gretchen handled both. She sent emails letting us know what we needed to do and what was coming up, and she worked with our schedules to make sure we on top of making decisions, meetings we needed to have, and vendor contracts & payments. She also provided great ideas and feedback for colors, invitation design, flowers, etc. She gave us an idea book that was beautiful and right in line with what we were wanting for our wedding. Even though in our agreement with her, we planned to have only Gretchen come to the Bahamas and help with the wedding, she went an extra step and brought an assistant at no charge to us to help out. The second person, Laura, was invaluable. Now that the wedding is over, I have no idea what would have happened if we didn't have Gretchen (and Laura) work on our wedding. They organized our vendors, managed schedules, and Gretchen even helped us after the wedding was over with final vendor dealings. We are very happy we chose a planner like Gretchen for our wedding. I cannot imagine how stressful our wedding would have been had we tried to do it on our own! More...

What do you love most about your job?
Creating one-in-a-lifetime experiences for my clients! I love to collaborate and come up with ideas that are truly unique to each event and then see those ideas realized on the event day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur. I saw a need in the market for a non-traditional wedding planner and decided to do something about it.
