Robert Barker Garden and Landscape Design

We have been delighted with the work that has been carried out by Robert Barker design The project was very ambitious as we have a large garden in a woodland area that had no structure or theme to planting either in design or colour. We were consulted with by Danielle and Robert and gave our preferences of colour theme and we were presented with exactly what were were looking for with many ferns and grasses and an all year round garden. In addition they had such great insight to offer low yew hedging that offered a modern smart look and created individual interesting areas in the main garden.Then created a separate side garden with privacy trees and slatted grey modern fencing creating a relationship with the front garden. Also a calming seating area that had a staggered pathway to link the side garden to a huge porcelin walled patio with soft planting and lighting for the main entertainment area.A side area was also created for alfresco eating surrounded by climbing plants and trees.The Front was also softened up with a completely new design with a planting scheme that followed the theme in the rear garden.They were on site at each point from plant delivery to planting and also in follow up visits and on hand with questions and advice. The garden is a masterpiece and we are very proud of the finished look and it will just get better as it’s in its first season. Danielle designed the irrigation system which was an essential part of the success to date given the dry summer we had.Robert is so knowledgeable and helped steer us to good decisions during the design and the implementation of the project and we can say it has been a huge success and we would highly recommend Robert Barker design and landscaping to anyone both private or corporate as we have the dream garden that will just keep getting better.Thank you Robert and Danielle for all of your dedication during the project and you should be proud of the design and we look forward to seeing you soon. Robert recently designed and landscaped our entire rear garden to an incredibly high standard. From the initial consultation to the finished product we were very impressed by his professionalism, good humour and patience with us as clients with no real idea about gardens. He listened to our brief about how we wanted to use and enjoy the garden, took ideas and inspiration from the internal furnishings of our house and he produced excellent plans and plant lists that he explained in detail. Robert designed the planting in our newly dug-out and landscaped back garden tiers. We are four months in and the plants and flowers are just starting to grow and bloom. Robert was extremely flexible and did an excellent job in designing the landscaping and planting designs for our garden. He was patient and professional and produced design drawings which he refined to ensure our requirements were being fully met. Robert was involved at every stage from inception to planting. Since the implementation of the design we have retained Roberts services to provide bi-annual 'health checks'. This is an excellent way to ensure the garden remains in top shape.
