Rob really helped me to build my confidence with my guitar playing. I had dabbled with it over many years but not really making much progress. He gave me the tools to progress and encouraged me to play more often. He was very calm in the lessons and explained how to work through each song or exercise clearly and concisely. I've had sax lessons from Rob for over 2 years now and he's by far the best teacher I've had. He's patient, technically skilled, widely experienced and encourages me to improve while understanding that I play for fun not exams. Thanks to him my playing is more confident than before, he's introduced me to other styles, a bit of theory, and to solos and improvisation which I wouldn't have thought possible when I started. An absolutely brilliant guitar teacher. So patient, fun, and has really targeted places where I needed to improve. Rob creates a balance between challenging me with the theoretical side of chords, scales and soloing, but also is more than willing to teach me a song of my choice.
