Great local sandwich spot! I would definitely recommend this place for lunch / dinner even, because the sandwiches are ginormous. So far I've tried the bacon egg and cheese sandwich with hash browns, the country fried chicken sandwich, and the turkey Cuban. Went here again yesterday and had the roast beef sandwich. It was also really good. Slightly to much garlic for me but I still liked it. The horseradish sauce they put on it makes the sadwhich  really taste good.  I ordered fries again and asked for them to be made crispy. We got sandwiches and a salad from here and they were both great. We did the eggplant and burrata salad, California Roast Beef and their Ruben. Everyone loved it. We go here all the time and have tried their other location as well and they're equally as good. Went for the first time today and the food was amazing. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was awesome. Had great flavor and a nice crunch to it. They cook it to order and it was still came out fast.  We asked for the fries to be crispy and they came out perfectly just like we asked.  The staff was great at recommending items to eat and was very friendly. Prices are good for what you get. Definitely will be going back.  There are a few more menu items I need to try.Tried it again today but had it delivered.  Not going to take anything away from them because delivery is almost never the same as eating it it right at the store. I ordered the chicken ala vodka sandwich which was pretty good.  The fried chicken sandwich is still my favorite.  I asked for the fries to be made extra crispy and they came mostly soggy this time. I was able to find metered street parking which only lasted 15 minutes.  I almost got a ticket when I went out to put another quarter in the meter and the meter man was standing right there. I ordered the chicken alla vodka. The bread was perfectly toasted, the chicken moist and the sauce tasted great. I went to the roast Sandwich House in Melville so I had to try this one. I had a really bad experience with grub hub today ! I was trying to surprise my significant other with lunch and grub hub screwed of up by lying about my order being delivered when it clearly wasn't! However, I must say that when I spoke with the manager of this location, he was awesome! He made sure that my new order got to its destination and on time minus the delivery fee because he felt bad! Stopped in for a quick bite yesterday and my biggest challenge was deciding what to get. Everything sounds so good. I decided to get half sandwich and soup combo. Small sandwich shop with a limited selection of sandwiches, 8 tables inside and hardly any parking.   It is Panera quality for a few bucks more.  The high prices and amount of meat on the sandwiches is a little cheap, so I deducted one star.  Expect to spend over $30 for 2 people to eat here. Yeah, I know, this is supposed to be a sandwich shop featuring in-house roasted meats. I however on my first visit to the new Mineola location, I went for the special salad of the day. Mixed greens, ripe peaches, pistachios, fresh mozzarella and juicy roasted chicken slices. Delicious and perfectly dressed ( can't recall the special dressing, most likely homemade though). As beautiful to look at (see accompanying photo)  as it was to eat! Nice head clearing walk from work (NYU Winthrop), this will be a go-to for me when I need to break away from our fine employee cafeteria scene. More...

So awesome!!!  There are not enough good words to say about Roast Sandwich House, the team who works here and the ownership. I have been a fan of Roast since I started going to their Melville location.  I always said it was awesome then and it's just more awesome.The new Mineola location is really sharp and simple, as in Melville, the seating is limited but they have some tables and counter by the window.  It bright and a good place to be for a meal.The Food...  Well, I am not going to go over every sandwich item by item so I'll focus on one of my favorites, Soft Shell Crab, PO Boy.  Oh Boy, this is a fresh, delicious sandwich on delicious bread. Crab is perfectly cooked and the sandwich is just filled with delicious.  I also love the chick alla vodka.  Again, plenty of delicious chicken and a sandwich filled with a whole lot of yum.  Make sure you try both the fries and sweet potato tots.   Great soups and salads too. I could write about Roast for days but all I want to say is.  MAKE SURE you come here for lunch or dinner.  Mineola is open later in the day so it make a great stop to pick up and bring home some some this yum for dinner. The perfect spot for a late lunch after a morning of shopping down at the mall. Mom and I were pretty hungry after walking through the Walt Whitman mall but we didn't want to settle for a chain and decided to stop here on the way back. We are so happy we did!The food is amazing, all made in-house and to your liking. I had the 1/2 roasted buffalo chicken with the 1/2 beet salad and they were both fresh and bursting with local flavor. Mom is on a gluten free diet so they made her turkey sandwich deconstructed on a large bed on lettuce. We also saw the grilled shrimp cob salad pass us by and I think that'll be on the menu for our next visit! Parking is a bit of a pain but the street is a nice plan b. Fantastic food with a moderate to high price tag. I feel like that is the perfect way to describe Roast. I work across the street and have been twice now and both times I loved the food. Fresh ingredients and great taste. What I didn't love was the though of a $12 salad or an $11 sandwich that still left me a bit peckish afterwards. The food here is amazing !! Did not disappoint at all. I came here for the first time recently, and overall I was left very impressed by everything I saw. I ordered the Southwest Roasted Chicken Sandwich and the Roasted Chicken Tortellini Soup. Both were very delicious, great portions come with your meal, and I really liked their bread. Everything tasted fresh and looked very nice. The staff is friendly, and they have great service. Shoutout to this place also carrying Hubert's Lemonade lol, I can't find that drink at too many places. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back here again soon. This was my first time here. I ordered the two-fer 9.99 special of half roasted turkey avocado panini and a house salad. Both tasted fresh and portion size perfect. The Roast Empire grows!  The third and latest location has the same great food and atmosphere that one comes to expect from their other locations. With 2 of the 3 kids home and on a quest for lunch, Yelp led us to try this very cute little spot right on the west side of route 110 just north of the parkway. ..I expected a much more commercial, chain type place but this is nothing like that. The lime green walls and matching high tops and low tables is a clean and fun look. Lots of molding makes this almost look like someones home, if it wasn't for the green.I know that I have seen one in Hicksville and there is a new one in Mineola near the hospital. the kids split 2 sandwich, both 12.50 and both on thick cut white buttery toast (like Texas Toast)..the special, a Beer Can chicken BLT with thick cut bacon, arugula and tomato, which they loved, and a Brisket grilled cheese which after they both agreed sounded good, tasted good but wasn't the best choice. We shared the sweet potato tots and took home a mac and cheese, both excellent. Next time they would stick to the chicken. The staff could not have been more friendly. They do a large take out business on this corridor of 110 and seemed to know many of the customers who were stopping in..It's not inexpensive, that's for sure. This was my second visit to this establishment. Both times were excellent. This place is literally a sandwich shop with some tables to sit and eat if you want. The staff will bring your food to the table, but it's a not a sit down restaurant with wait service.     But don't let that fool you, these are quality, fresh ingredients they are using and all the stuff is made to order. We got salads both times, which is what we were looking for. Last time I got the Roasted Pear Salad, AMAZING!! This time the Blackened Shrimp Cobb Salad. It was perfect. The shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked. The dressing is really good. The portion is large. I wasn't able to finish my salad either time. Love love love!!! Been going to this place for years but to the Huntington location, came here today for the first time and just as good! ! Food is wonderful and decently priced. Shity parking, but you can get over that -- my main gripe is that Roast does NOT have a great selection of traditional heroes -- you know, like lwttuxw, tomato, swill and turkey breast on a hero , etc ,, Ham and american on a hero -- they go for more of the "croissant " crowd (don't even know how to spell it) -- yeah, so what they have is good, but not traditional heroes.

The Angry Turkey Melt is where it's at. That sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted in my life. I love how there is actually a "melted" texture to it but there is also the crispness of the bacon. With that, I always add the Sweet Potato Tater Tots on the side. It tastes like churro-flavored tater tots and it is delicious although I would rather have it a little bit more crispy on the outside. I read about the opening of this third Roast in Mineola, so my wife and I went to check it out Saturday night. Took a minute to decide what to have from their many options.
