After I paid a very large amount of money - 100% up front - I was ignored, passed around, ignored and passed around some more, and finally made to feel that my very valid concerns were no big deal.
At several points during this process, I was sure I was being scammed due to the absolute lack of professionalism from the event coordination team.
I had no fewer than five event coordinators, who mostly quit, "got promoted," and never answered my emails and missed our meetings. When I finally had a live conversation with Danielle (thanks to the sales manager sending her Calendly link - Danielle did not) I mentioned these concerns. She told me that I had no reason to be concerned after I would receive the "run of show" - but that document honestly does nothing to assure me after months of being jerked around.
Then after Danielle sent me the run of show, another team member reached out to me to have the exact same conversation. He had no notes from Danielle, none of the information that I had given her, absolutely no indication that anything that ought to have been written down, was. Extremely not reassuring!!!
Finally, two days before the event, I was informed that I had been given the wrong menu, and I needed to choose six main options instead of the 3 mains, 3 apps, and dessert I had already chosen. Fine. Sure. On the day of the event, there were only 5 options to choose from.
So, no. Never again will I work with Roaming Hunger.

I scheduled two food trucks through Roaming Hunger. Josh sent over several food trucks to choose from. I had a three day window to choose. I paid for them in full. Then the day before my event, I received an email that one of my food trucks cancelled. I had options to view, but the page was blank. My event coordinator, Danielle was scheduled to call me on a specific date and time. She never called. She doesn't return calls or emails. Both times I was beyond impressed by the sense of urgency and thoroughness of catering account manager Natalie and the prompt service and quality of food from the food trucks. OMG! What a great service! Our company wanted to do an employee celebration with a short window for a launch. I called Roaming Hunger on Friday afternoon for an event on the upcoming Tuesday, told them my budget, how many people and food trucks I needed and they helped me pull of the MIRICLE of the year! I must admit, I was a tad nerveous, because I had not used a company like this before, but Cory and Jody stayed in contact with me every step of the way. Aramis was our event consultant and provided great service and advice for catering options for our wedding. He was always quick to follow up and was able to provide good times to meet up with the trucks were considering to facilitate a tasting. It was such a relief to not have to worry about dealing with two food trucks separately to show up on time and with the proper menu. Great company to help you find what you are looking for. We wanted to get a food truck for our wedding but had no idea where to begin. I found their site, and they made it super simple. My contact Aramis explained everything about the process, we told him what kinds of foods we were looking for, and he sent us a list of trucks to review. We went on tastings to a couple and ultimately found the most amazing food truck, Lexington Betty Smoke House, through them. They did an amazing job at our wedding, even setting up the food buffet style (since I had some family that were less than thrilled with the idea of getting their food from a truck), so we were able to get the food we wanted and serve it appropriately for our event. This is a great service.I was looking to host a celebration, and do something different than the usual ordering in of pizza. .. stumbled upon Roaming Hunger, plugged in what I was looking for and shortly thereafter got back a number of really great options to choose from. Now here's where RH took it to the next level. I notified our building's property management the day of the event that we have a food truck coming by, and they responded that they needed the vendor to add the property management to the food truck's certificate of insurance.I was totally panicking - I reached out to my contact at RH, Andres, and turned around the certificate within an hour. He literally saved the day, and retrospect I should have notified our property management earlier. Â I have to admit at the beginning I was a little concerned about hiring a Food Truck through a broker and paying 100% up front but my worries were unwarranted. Love these guys! I've been booked on 2 events thus far. My only gripe is about their website. It's not very user friendly for vendors. Vendor login should be at the very top of the page right alongside the member login and we as venders should be able to create, amend and upload all of our own pricing packages. Not have to go through an agent each time. Lastly, more time between deadline dates and times should be given, especially for events taking place several weeks out. Food truckers who are busy operating their trucks aren't always able to check their email inboxes regularly. I've lost out on too many events with crazy deadline dates/times. They were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, and made it so easy to have one single point of contact for both parties across the country from each other. Our coordinator Aramis was responsive, friendly, and organized. He was able to suggest several trucks based on our tastes, and he made sure everything came together flawlessly, including coordinating permits and insurance documents that were required by our venues. I found roaming hunger by chance one day while trying to find a food truck for a last minute event and I was so thrilled! It's basically a temp agency for food trucks - you say what you want and they make it happen ! Is Mr. Wonderful around? Because these people need to be on shark tank!!! What a great concept! I worked with Maryam to get 2 different events a week and a half in advance and everything was wonderful. We made preset menus, picked out different cuisines, and had great communication throughout. I have worked in the Food Truck Industry for over ten years and finally decided to build my own truck! I was steered towards Roaming Hunger and everything has gone smoothly since. I spoke with Tyler throughout my process and even though we had a three hour time delay due to locations(I am in CT, he was in CA) we never missed a beat. I also enjoy that since they helped build my truck they also put me in their vending system. For anyone who is opening a new business, being put in the vending system helps you get parties where you normally wouldn't. So it definitely has helped my exposure. We contacted a couple of companies but the other company had a lot of rules and regulations and seemed to want us to work with them. Not the other way around.They also didn't seem too eager to help. I then contacted Roaming Hunger and got an answer back almost immediately. Aramis explained in detail how the process worked and after learning what our needs were, ensured us that he would find a vendor that would meet our needs.Aramis connected us with Cielito Lindo, an authentic Mexican food truck out of San Jose, CA. She was able to at last minute coordinate to a catered offering (instead of our guests walking to the truck outside) and was a big part of making our wedding day special! Â Samson's Gourmet Hot Dogs and Burgers provided us with a delicious meal - they were early/on time! Â Courteous and very accommodating! Working with Roaming Hunger was really easy! We needed a truck for our son's first birthday party. Andres responded quickly, and had great suggestions. We ended up hiring the Berlin Truck, and guests were super happy with the hot dogs and grilled cheese options. Roaming Hunger makes hiring a food truck seamless, and they do the legwork for you. My only advice is to get the name/number of the person who is running the truck for your event, so you can re-confirm details with them.
