My wife and I hired this company to redesign and remodel our kitchen, family room, master bathroom, guest bathrooms, fireplace and few other things.
This was not an easy project as we purchased a house from the 1930's that had a lot of problems!!! We needed to redo all the electrical, the layout, fix the walls, add insulation, add lighting and make the area more efficient. The end result is beautiful, it is traditional with a modern flair. We are confident to say that everything they did behind the walls is up to code and goes beyond our expectations.
Before we began our remodeling project when we turned on our microwave the lights would flicker. Our stove was unusable, my foot went through the floor in the master bathroom because it was rotted through and most the floors and walls were slanted. Every time they opened a wall, they said, "why did the previous builders do it this way?" There was a lot to fix! Rktects did a fantastic job at communicating the problems, coming up with solutions to fix them, creating a great plan to utilize the best space and implementing the process in an efficient way. I work from home so I was there for the entire construction project and the workers were very professional and worked hard. The whole project took a few months and the end result is beautiful. Since they have finished the job, we have not had one problem, everything works as expected and their service was truly top notch.
In terms of pricing, they are not going to be the cheapest out there but when it comes to quality construction you get what you pay for. Rktects delivered an excellent service and product, we could not be more pleased. If you want a cheap job with cheap materials then this is not the company to hire. But if you want someone who does it right the first time so it can withstand Chicago weather and works how it should be, then this is the company to hire. We were very impressed with the high-end materials used, the excellent customer service and in the end the price was very fair for what we got in return. I highly suggest and if we ever move, we look forward to hire them again!

What’s your interior design process?
We start all projects with a detailed meeting with the client to better understand what they want to achieve as well as better understand how they live and interact. We make a thorough investigation of the environment that the project is to be developed and note special amenities that will affect the overall design. Once the initial meeting and site investigation is complete we begin our initial design process and work with the client throughout in order to achieve the best possible design project for the proposed budget. The client is always part of the design process.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We have worked in all areas of design and are able to create designs to meet the design tastes of the client.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with people and creating a design that the client loves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been partners in several companies prior to starting my own company. In one instance my partner got sick and could not continue in the practice. In the other partnership they simply decided to move in a direction that I did not want to go. By starting my own business I could create my own destiny

Being a small size firm there is always a principal of the company working on your project. The process is handled from inception through completion. There is a single source responsibility making communication easier and more direct.
