bespoke wardrobe
We make your designs and ideas to become a reality. We build bespoke fitted wardrobes in our London based workshop. Once you choose the carcass and interior design, we will then install your wardrobe within a day at your property (depending on the design and measurements).
FITTED WARDROBES
Just to give you an estimate on the size of your wardrobe our previous builds have been around 550mm-600mm deep. However this doesn’t mean that you can’t have one that’s smaller or larger as it is your design. The materials we would use to make your wardrobe would be out of either MDF or Birch ply as these are the more durable of woods for supporting all your clothes.
At RJS Carpentry we will work with you in order to create a storage solution that will not only be of a unique style and configuration, but tailor-made to fit the exact dimensions of your space. With wardrobes that stretch from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, even in the most awkward shaped rooms. Inside, storage space is maximised, making room for an innovative range of storage solutions that are chosen with you and tailored by us to your precise needs.
The result is a beautifully designed bedroom with more storage space than you might think. We can give you space you never knew you had.
living room units
Units
There is a couple of styles to finish these units off, that is the traditional style, with panelled doors. (Raised panels, with a beading stuck on to create the affect of a panel) or sunken panels. Where the panel is routed out and beading stuck around the edge of the panel. Also shaker style with a routed out panel and no beading around the edge. The traditional style is our most popular style, there is a skirting at the bottom. There is a moulded beading along the front of the top of the unit to give added depth and dosing features.
The handles are usually painted wooden knobs, but we also fit glass ones chrome ones or any style, but we encourage you to purchase these for us to fit on the day.
Next for the modern style, this is to have a completely flush front with flush doors (no panelling) and touch latches to open the doors slightly on a light touch of the door for easy opening, this is for the door to open with no handle.
Now for the shelving above this can also be done in mdf or birch ply. In soft wood or hardwood or any veneered mdf, They can be completed in a traditional or modern style.
Next for the Batton shelf this is the most traditional style and consists of a board of mdf for the shelf and a timber Batton below for support. We also specialise in fitted floor to ceiling fitted shelving units. This is a TV unit with a shelving unit above, this can be done with fluted sides and a timber moulded rose on top, also with a coving on top.
Lastly we now offer the full and complete paint job. Of all of our fitted units in a colour or finish of your choice. They are usually finished in satin wood (the most durable but a little shiny). There is also eggshell (a bit more Matt of a finish but not as durable).
Painting and decorating
Painting and decorating is one of the many things we specialise in. We may be RJS Carpentry but we are also painters and decorators in London. This is a new service that we have started to offer. No job is too small from a front door, small room too as large as a whole house. We are able to undertake the following services when it comes
Strip and prepare walls and ceilings, then hang wallpaper pretty much of any design or quality. Prepare and paint any surface, whether to a first class standard, or for just a tidy up We offer a wide range of exterior services, such as masonry house painting, windows, and windows restoration,
As we are not a one man team we can offer you a fast and comprehensive service.
Recent jobs we have completed include re-painting decking, cladding, railings, doors. painted and restored sash windows, painted interior and exterior walls.
We have worked for customers with very tight schedules and deadlines which are always met and completed to a very high standard,

Whether you are searching for someone to fit your already purchased kitchen or to design and fit you with your very own bespoke kitchen RJS Carpentry can make it happen. We have gathered a reputation for only supplying and installing each of our kitchens to the highest standard.
Majority of the kitchens we supply are made from mfc (melamine faced chipboard) or mdf (medium density fibreboard), unfortunately we don’t offer this service in stone. We will cut the necessary holes for fitting your kitchen appliances.
