We starten onze drieweekse roadtrip doorheen Zuid-Afrika hier!|Een tophotel met reuzengrote kamers (treehouse). De kids vonden het de max dat ze een eigen badkamer hadden. Ontbijt was ook top! Zeer vriendelijk personeel en de lieve manager gaf ons de gegevens van een zeer betrouwbare taxichauffeur, daar we in het donker niet graag meer reden naar Kaapstad. |Deze liet ons vanop Signal Hill Kaapstad bij nacht vanuit de hoogte ook zien. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor Kaapstad, Kaap de Goede Hoop, Tafelberg, Robbeneiland en de boottocht om de zeehonden op de oceaan te gaan spotten. Over het hotel is er ook een vogelpark!|Jammer dat het winter was en het iets te fris was om in het privé zwembad te duiken. Een aanrader!!! More...

What an incredible experience. In a nutshell, this gem of a property nestled in the heart of Hout Bay, Cape Town is a perfect venue for any one, but especially couples wanting to experience a luxury escape from city life. ||||The hotel, which is LGBTQ friendly, is quite stunning at first glance. The rooms are beautiful and embody a modern design, mixed with authentic Cape Dutch pieces. On arrival, our room was nicely prepared, very clean and felt like home. The room came with full access to YouTube, Netflix and Dstv via a smart TV. The room was also very nicely stocked with a coffee machine and pods, a full tea set and a fully stocked mini bar. ||||Without a doubt, the highlight was the bed. We without a doubt had the best sleep of our lives on our king size. Pillows were hotel standard, and sheets were immaculately clean. ||||Staff were very friendly and accommodating and attended to all our needs. We were offered complimentary breakfast delivered to our room which was delicious. (the chef is 5 star) and over all it was a very friendly and welcoming environment. Another highlight was the venue itself, the green, lush environment was beautiful in winter, but I can also imagine it to be as beautiful in summer with its 4 stunning pools.||||Congratulations to all involved in this one of a kind boutique hotel. Stayed a few days in the place for business purposes but the team is extremely friendly and the place is very clean. The huge space in the whole area offers great outside activity plus a very cosy private home like feeling.

Very beautiful manor with huge grounds, lots of lawns and trees. The staff is polite and discreet, especially Alvin. Sara the manageress is professional and efficient. A big parking and security is top.

Hout Bay ligt net buiten Kaapstad op een half uur rijden van het vliegveld en van Kaapstad zelf. Maar wat een oase van rust hier aan de achterzijde van de Tafelberg. We werden allervriendelijkst ontvangen door wat later bleek de gastvrouw te zijn van dit hotel. Een drietal tuinlieden sjouwden voortvarend onze bagage naar de kamers op de begane grond en de eerste verdieping, terwijl wij een koel dronkje kregen geserveerd en kennis maakten met de vele honden, die hier rondliepen. Hoeveel, ik weet het niet precies, maar ze waren stuk voor stuk schatten. Vooraf wisten wij niet, dat er zoveel honden rondliepen, iets, dat ons best door onze reisagent gemeld had mogen worden, maar gelukkig liep het wel goed af met de allergie voor beesten, die een van onze familieleden heeft. De bedden waren goed, het ontbijt uitstekend en de bediening bijzonder vriendelijk. Geen moeite was teveel, ook niet toen een paar krasjes op een van onze auto's weggewerkt moest worden -service van het Riverside hotel- hoorden wij tot onze verbazing! service met een grote glimlach. Wir waren nun zum zweiten Mal im Riverside Boutique und auch dieses Mal fällt uns der Abschied extrem schwer.||Das Riverside hat alles, was es für einen gelungen Urlaub braucht: eine sehr schöne modern und schicke Hotelanlage, die keine Wünsche offen lässt, sehr sehr herzliches Personal, liebe Hunde zum Spielen für unsere Tochter und nicht zu vergessen: ein super tolles Frühstück mit dem besten Kaffee von Südafrika, den wir auf den Reisen hier rund ums Kap erhalten haben. ||Der Kaffe kommt aus einer Siebträgermaschine. Und überhaupt achtet diese Unterkunft auf die Ökologie. Kein Plastik aber dafür viele liebevolle Details. Und Hout Bay ist unser Geheimtipp für die Reise nach Kapstadt. Wir werden sicher ein 3. This is my review on this Beautiful boutique hotel, which offers exquisite rooms, conference and wedding venues. The place itself boasted a peaceful serenity and in touch with mother nature. I had the pleasure of staying at Riverside this week and I was totally blown away. The rooms and facilities are extremely luxurious and chic (made us feel like we were royalty)!

The pool area was amazing to relax at and the staff were extremely attentive offering us drinks and towels etc.

The beds and bedding are of exceptional quality and I can definitely say it was one of the best nights sleep I've ever had.

The owner and staff were all very welcoming and friendly and along with all the resident dogs it made you feel like you were part of the family.

Lastly the breakfast was absolutely delicious with everything and more that you could want.
