What do you love most about your job?
I love bringing 40 years of advertising and video production expertise to the table on all projects and using that experience to make projects better.
I am a skilled writer, marketer, director, director of photography and editor that approaches projects from a wholistic point of view and I possess many tools in the tool box to help facilitate that process.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am a quick study especially when it comes to creative content development and script to screen production techniques. I humbly felt that I could distance myself from the competition with my own company.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am principally trained as a writer, director and director of photography within the motion picture arts realm. Tuscarora Films has always been run as a ‘creative’ production company, meaning the vast majority of our projects have been created, written and executed by myself and my staff. I am also a video editor with almost 40 years experience. I see projects from a wholistic point of view, from concept through completion. My skillset is a unique one, as I can create a compelling concept, write the script, light the set, operate camera, direct talent and edit the final project. Need music with that? I’m also a musician, bringing yet another creative layer of understanding rhythm, timing, pacing and the dynamics of tonal qualities…or simply the sounds of silence to help captivate and motivate a scene.
Back to the River’s Edge. I bring my unique tool box of skills to you from the banks of the Catawba River. I live on the River’s Edge of Lake Wylie, North & South Carolina. The metaphor of the river is a beautiful one. I listen, watch and learn from nature and it’s creatures that are drawn to the water as I am. I am more attuned to the seasons, the sun, the moon the ever changing fabric of life than your average run of the mill creative thinker. The River helps me stay connected or sometimes disconnected, as it ebbs and flows. Just the way I like it.
