Great space. Be aware on Wed. It's open mic night. The volume at the stage is very loud. So maybe stay further away from the stage.

It's a nice/clean space with a seating capacity of maybe 60 people (including at the bar). I actually found it accidentally while walking downtown on a Thursday afternoon when I noticed an open door and received a friendly welcome from the female bartender (yes, she saw me exploring and said come on in). Beverage and specials offerings are what you might expect, but the menu listings are somewhat unique/hilarious. I drank two Happy Hour pints and tried the beef samosas (which were tasty) and spent less than $20 (with tip). Be aware, however, that the facility is located in the basement and may be a challenge to access for people with mobility issues. More...

Wow! I'd only been here before when it was Brixx, then forgot the location existed besides being a nearby ATM for Starlite. Imagine my surprise when I go to take out cash and see it's been totally renovated. While scanning the menu took more effort than usual, I much prefer these puns LOL. I got the portobello burger out of curiosity and it was delicious! Excellent service too from the gentleman with a mustache and pierced ears. This definitely will be my new go-to place before/after shows at Starlite, especially since it sounds like the kitchen is open reasonably late. Sorry, Chicago Deep Dish. More...

Discovering this nice bar was kind of a "happy accident", I was helping my brother move into his new apartment and put together furniture and we decided to go for some food and drinks to the closest place we could find. This bar was just down the road and we stopped in. The food was very tasty and we got treated to some excellent live music as well. Service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be coming back again sometime soon! More...

This is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown. They occupy the space below the famous Starlite room. One of Edmonton’s greatest live music venues. If you happen to be there for a show, come early and pop into River City for a bite to eat. They have an awesome menu with clever music related names for all the items. The menu was created and prepared by a red seal chef, and you can tell. It is not your typical pub grub. They always have a new soup for you to try and I haven’t been disappointed yet! My personal favourite menu item was the “3 Cheese Down” which is a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato jam. I say it WAS my favourite because I recently tried the “King” which is currently not on the menu but it is a feature sandwich. It’s a fried Banana and peanut butter sandwich with bacon. It is INCREDIBLE! Elvis would be proud! Besides the food, the staff are all well trained and very friendly. They also have something fun going on every night like Trivia, open jams, vintage video games, or Karaoke. Go show this gem the love it deserves, you won’t be sorry! More...

Great place to eat and drink. Came for Taco night and to listen to kareoke. Staff is friendly, quick and the food is great. Free wifi is available. There is moderate amount of seating as it is a bit small. There is public access bicycle tools and has a bike stand to lock up your bike. Came on trivia night which was amusing. More...

Pick a day. Like any day that you need to improve. Then go to Revival, get some -seriously good food- and listen to whatever your bartender is paying on the speakers, and watch your 4/10 day become a 12/10 night. Hell, come on a Tuesday and sing some Karaoke to make your own music! But don't miss the food. Seriously. It needs a new word to describe it since usually I can only convey the greatness by drooling out the corner of my mouth. For now we can settle with "Arguably the Best Food You Didn't Know You Needed in Edmonton". More...

Great locally owned spot with food made with love, from locally sourced products and an awesome menu full of musical themed item names and genious coctail creations (kombucha brewed on site in the coctails is amazing with or without liqour!
). The staff is awesome everyone is treated like family both staff and guests and it is truly a great time having a bite to eat or stopping in to meet some friends.
Also it is worth mentioning the place is located below one of the coolest music venues and its a great spot to go grab a burger or some wings (or one of the many vegan options if you’re into that) after you’ve been dancing all night!
I have eaten almost the whole menu and I can’t even reccommend anything it is all great, go there and there will be something you enjoy for sure! (The pulled pork is amazing and the all the smoked meats are smoked on site [smoked vegan options are smoked in their own smoker] )

This my second visit and I'm really glad I gave it another shot. The first time I went I would have given it a 2/5. It wasn't very busy the night I went in and the atmosphere was dour. The staff seemed off in their own little world I felt like I was intruding by being there. The food was just okay. What a big difference this time around. The staff was very friendly and the food and kombucha were excellent. I had the The Ayatollah of Jack and Rolla and the cheese and jalapeno Korn bread (sooo good). I thought kombucha tasted like puke before I tried RCRH's Red Boocha, I was surprised by how much I loved it. The portion sizes are a bit small for the price but it's really good meal regardless. Glad I went back and I'm definitely going to again in the future. More...
