I have had a number of events here, including a christening and a 40th and it is a great place. The food is excellent and Darren, Neil and the team make sure everything is 100% for your event. Great place for any celebration

Had my 6th Form Leavers at Ridgmont House and it was amazing. The food was outstanding. The venue was beautiful. All the staff looked after everyone all night and nothing was too much trouble. What a fantastic night!

Held my wedding here. Could not have been happier. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs... Even when I was phoning and turning up all the time worrying, as brides to be often do! ! Never fail to deliver quality of service and food is best for miles around. I have been using Darren and his team for over 12 years for functions from Sportsmans dinner, children's Christmas Parties, my daughter's wedding and unfortunately a funeral but each event has been delivered with professional services and I hope to continue with our dinners etc in the future

We had our children’s naming ceremony here, and it was a fantastic day. The staff were brilliant, the food fantastic and the venue was beautiful. I have been to many functions at Ridgemont House, weddings, birthday celebrations, dinner dances, sportsmans dinners you name it, and I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every visit no matter what the occasion. It is in a beatiful location, an iconic Horwich landmark that was saved from demolition and restored to a lovely events venue, which is always immaculately presented.

It is coming up to my 1st wedding anniversary (27th May) and we had Ridgemont House as our stunning venue for our reception. The staff could not do enough for us. We had some guests turn up who thought they where invited to the meal and Ridgemont where offering to provide food for these guests as no extra charge to us. They also provided a full meal for our wedding singer, videographer and photographer again at no extra cost to us.
My sister in law decorated the venue for us and they allowed her to set up the day before as she was a bridesmaid and wouldn't have the time in the morning. I could not fault the place. They helped us to create our perfect day. I am a very happy customer � More...

I tend to just write reviews about the events I attend and my experience there, but hey ho if people want to get really personal so be it. My wife and I were married here 14 years ago, Darren couldn't do enough for us!! He was running back and forth sorting the cake we supplied, making sure the bar was full (we nearly drank it dry ��) ensuring the bouncy castle for the kids was up and running (even though all the adults kicked them off after 5 minutes) the dj was set up and ready. The guy never stopped, he kept checking on my wife's elderly grandparents, one of whom was in a wheelchair, so they wanted for nothing. Even at the end of the night after everyone had gone he offered us a lift home because we couldn't get a taxi!!
A few years later we held my mother's wake here, he remembered us and couldn't do enough again to make sure we had what we needed. Can't fault the guy or his business the place is stunning and he has worked hard to get it to the standard it is at!!

We had our daughter’s christening party at Ridgmont House and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The room decoration was beautiful, the buffet was delicious and the selection of Gins went down very well with our guests! It was a sunny day and there is plenty of outdoor seating in the shade which was very much needed for one of our pregnant friends. Thank you so much for being so accommodating. Had our wedding at Ridgmont on 4th August 2018. What can we say, absolutely brilliant from start to finish. We booked back in 2016, Martin was attentive and sincere from the original booking until the day of the ceremony. Nothing was too much trouble at all, he even fitted a disco ball to the ceiling especially for the bride! All our guests (and us) commented on how delicious the food was. After looking at several venues for our daughter’s wedding, we chose Ridgmont House. We are so glad we did as we have just had the most amazing day there in the middle of August. Everything was perfect, from the stunning house and well maintained grounds to the absolutely delicious food, the smiling staff and the attention to detail on the day. Nothing was too much trouble during our planning meetings, even the little things like when they happily reinvented the canapé at the buffet to make the groom happy and then they kept us up to date with everything on the day. You have the venue and the grounds just for you, the children played happily and safely outside. We had a wonderful wedding in 2009 and a naming ceremony in 2016 for our two children at Ridgmont House. I was very surprised to hear the bad reviews on FB recently as this has not been our experience of this lovely venue and staff.
