As an instructor at the YMCA I have to say I recommend them for their AMAZING members! we have some of the most supportive team players for members who are always pushing each other to succeed. It's a great group environment and everyone is always welcoming and friendly. thank you to the members who make the Richmond Hill YMCA great! It makes coming to work a true joy. More...

Just joined and the staff was amazing! Answered all my questions, gave a orientation and were welcoming.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very knowledgeable and community oriented.
Friendly staff and great equipment!
Because it is the only one stop shop in the local market. I can get my pump going, while the wife does the treadmill, stair stepping and HIIT workouts, Zumba etc. all while the kid is being cared for and entertained. Win, Win, Win, that's all you do when you get a the family focused on you. Be a member, you won't regret the better version of you, remove the obstacles. More...

This is my second family!
I have gone to many different YMCA’s of coastal Georgia throughout the years. The WOD class they have at the Richmond Hill location is awesome. Great class with great instructors!!! More...
I love doing the WOD and the instructors at the YMCA classes are amazing. We could use some more room for all the classes and gym space but then I wouldn’t have met the people I have here. Love going to the YMCA in Richmond Hill. More...

Because of the instructors and the people!! They are the best! I have been to many YMCA’s, but the RHYMCA has always has the best instructors! All of Shirley’s classes are very challenging, but fun!! And I’m loving the new High Fitness class with Maggie!! I love to be pushed and these Y instructors give 100% every time I take one of their classes! They are keeping me in track!! More...
Staff is nice and Zumba class was a lot of fun.
Excellent environment along with a very friendly staff. People are friendly in a non invasive manner.
I like the staff, facility, and child care options. I would REALLY like to see a body pump class added to the schedule though.
Always great. Keep jackets and bags off the chairs. Friendly staff. Good machines. Don't drop the weights.

Everything works, not the newest equipment but functionally sound. Staff are pleasant people and members are also.
Loved the Yoga and Zumba classes so far. Front desk folks are friendly and helpful. Gave me a free 7-day pass and a tour of the place.

Thanks for my job who is partner's with YMCA makes it affordable for employees! This is a great gym! Everyone is helpful and friendly. Parking can be a challenge, but that is because it is popular. Great place to work for the cost!

I have just joined, buy everyone was so helpful and informative about classes, membership, etc. Fran has been walking me through the machines and free weights and is so great! I would recommend her highly to any newcomer to the gym! More...
Everything is great but the spin bikes. The spin room is like a sauna with stale air and old bikes that are falling apart. On the other hand, the instructors are super awesome. This is the reason we still take the spin classes. They make it fun while you burn tons of calories. Get there early so you can choose one of the few bikes that work.I would suggest not to compare this facility's exercise equipments to the bigger city's Y.... just enjoy what they offer & you'll have fun. I've co-instructed here a few times and loved it every single time! The Zumba classes are the most fun. Just saying.
Awesome gym with everything you need. Functional fitness box with daily WOD workouts w/ certified instructor. And the icing on the cake for me is that they have child care Mon-Sat. It's awesome to know that if I need to go to the gym, I can bring my kids. More...
Love this place!
Moving into a new state was scary. Having this Y so close, friendly and open to everyone made the transition so much better for the entire family. Thank you!
I am by no means a "gym person". Don't get me wrong, I'm TRYING to be, but it is a hard row to hoe...the gym is hot and sweaty and full of pain, broken dreams and men who are far too good looking for me to be red-faced and panting in front of...at least not in this type of setting. ;) The Y is a good gym tho, and is inspiring me to try to get back into that gym mentality. They offer wonderful classes: yoga is awesome, women on weights is a rockstar workout and boot camp will make you srsly reconsider your life...last time I went, I promise we did lunges for at least a half mile and by the end, looking fat in a bikini seemed like an acceptable price to pay not to hurt so much. They also have a nice amount of weight machines and cardio equiptment. The one downside I have about this gym is the weight section. I am not a weight lifter...but I am trying really hard to start working on strength training and to do so, I need weights. There are puny 10lb barbells in some of the classrooms, but none in the weight section, which means that for me to do my exercises I would have to interrupt a class to barge in for weights. Which is rude. Plus, I apparently make some very strange sounds and facial expressions during weight lifting, and having that area in the middle of the gym makes me reaaaaally uncomfortable. I wish it was a more enclosed space. But that's just me.Security is pretty tight around this joint. They give you a code and scan your handprint in when you sign up for your membership. I'm sure it's just a tactic to keep people from sharing their code and thereby costing the Y money, but it makes me feel like I'm working out in a super-secret-spy gym. Which, I have to say, kinda adds to the appeal. Agent 00Sexy, reporting for workout! More...
