They were more than happy to explain what this involved and got to work straight away. Can be a worry when work is being carried out but not with these lads they were polite and carried on completing there part on time. i contacted Richardson and Starling in Glasgow as i had a really bad problem with condensation. the surveyor arrived and noticed i had a leak which had rotted under the floor and joists in my bathroom flooring which i wasn't aware of. They were brilliant, removed the old flooring and put in a new floor for me and the surveyor gave me advice on how to manage the condensation without the need for paying for more services i didn't need. Cannot recommend Richardson & Starling highly enough - fantastic service in diagnosing and treating wet rot in shower room. I recently arranged for R&S to visit my property for a quote to repair a couple of areas of damp around two doors. I was extremely impressed by them. They swiftly arranged a time and date and the gentleman that came was extremely knowledgeable, professional and above all helpful. Rather than furnish me with an expensive quote he gave me some advice on how to potentially alleviate the problem myself before resorting to more drastic measures. I've had work done in my bathroom in south Ayrshire and I can't thank Darren for all his advise and help with the damp I had. Jason the plumber worked around everything that was going on.Hugh the joiner well what a job he did with wet boards fantastic work. Good man at his trade. Kris the apprentice was hard working young man as well. Job gets finished today. These guys are great you could have a wee banter with them and they just worked away . Only work men I know that when offered tea and rolls in sausage refused . It just shows they are keen from start to finish. . Daren was great he advised and explained stuff well. Mr Bone from council side was fantastic. Job turned out to be bigger than first thought but today it's all finished .
Thank You very much guys so clean and tidy I even offered to hoover and you wouldn't allow it. Your bosses should be proud they have such a great team.

Just had a damp-proof membrane installed in our lower basement flat by Anthony Gordon & Martin Byrne. The guys were thoroughly professional; very friendly; & were obviously keen to do a good job. When I asked to see the surveyor they also arranged that without hesitation. Was interesting to note too that a Supervisor appeared, unannounced, just to check on what the lads were up to. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Chris Beckett and his excellent team of men from the Perth branch for coming to my aid and sorting out the woodworm problem in my property left behind by the Stirling branch after they carried out extensive work on my property and charged me nearly £35,000 . ..I had just paid my bill and received my guarantee when to my absolute horror the decorator who was working in my property called me to say he have found woodworm in the dining room don't understand how this could have happened as the whole house was stripped bear ...I called the Stirling but the manager who was in charge of my job was on holiday so I got to speak with the Chris Beckett who couldn't have been more helpful especially when I told him my 90yr old mother was due to get home from the care home later that week but now couldn't due to finding woodworm in the house and further work had to be carried out ...Pity the Stirling Brach couldn't have done their job better it would have saves me another £200 to keep my mother in the home another week ...my decorator can't believe that the holes in the ceiling and walls on the upper floor weren't filled in and plastered instead it's costing me several hundred pounds to repair them .I also had to ask to have part of the walls and the ceiling replaced in both upstairs bedrooms as they had taken them down to treat part of the roof.I asked about this and was told I hadn't been charged to replace them ..I wasn't happy so they came along and put up some plaster board but didn't finish it Iv to pay to get the plasterer in to finish off ..The men you came to carry out the work from Stirling and Perth were all very friendly and professional except the one sent out to confirm that I had indeed found more woodworm he asked if I had requested that the panels were taken off in the dining room to check the area for woodworm as the men didn't have xray eyes ...so five stars to Chris Becket and his team you guys earned it More...

While nobody and nothing can ever possibly be perfect, Richardson & Starling, as a firm and for their tradesmen are near-as-damnit perfect. They have set the standard for us, a real benchmark, without our go to contractors we shall feel a bit lost. Today was their last day and I felt a tinge of genuine sadness to see them go. Colin Johnston and Gregor Ferguson worked almost full time at our property for the best part of four months and have done an absolutely epic job. The house is barely recognisable, what these two guys achieved is beyond words phenomenal. On top of that they also happen to be charming people that both my wife and I enjoyed sharing time with, our one year old son shall certainly miss the onsite banter and wise cracks! But seriously, I can't recommend them more highly and if you would like more information of our experience with R&S Stirling feel free to contact me directly on here. I also mustn't forget the unsung heroes Graeme Bell, chief contracts manager who regularly cracked the whip and was an immensely helpful liaison when required. As well as Alan Russel, surveyor who gets a big shout out; he was our first point of contact with R&S, he is a great ambassador for the company, extremely polite, knowledgeable and utterly charming, we shall be calling upon his babysitting services for the aforementioned child. Alan deserves some sort of a medal from his company for always steering us in the right direction, he was hugely helpful. We also met Dean who was a good sounding board on the early days of project planning, he's also lucky enough to look like a Scottish version of Jake Gyllenhaal, which is an excellent attribute for any aspiring surveyor! Anyway, the point is R&S are excellent, and get a massive thumbs up in our book. I will happily refer them and chat to whomever may be undecided about them. Keep up the good works guys! More...
