The Architects Underground, staged at RIBA last Wednesday (and every Wednesday going forward), was absolutely amazing. A wonderful mixture of dance, poetry, music, and riveting lectures spanning the worlds of architecture and music recording. The lecture delivered by Giles Martin on the innovative recording process of Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, and several songs from Sgt Peppers, with the use of some 40 individually soloed tracks and out-takes from the original Abbey Road sessions was mesmerising. Fabulous event! More...

Really great Family Fun Day at RIBA today. Nice to see that RIBA are encouraging the next generation to think about structures and the design process in such a hands on way. Helpful staff and the cafe is very reasonable too. Look forward to more family days in the future. More...

The Pseudo Georgian exhibition was very interesting, well laid out and not all intimidating. Fascinating commentary by the artist which was beautifully tongue in cheek at times. Interesting bookshop and much appreciated free past copies of A magazine. Needs to be more widely promoted, must cite Ianvisits blog for my knowledge of this. My only complaint was the cost of the book. If cheaper I would have bought it to visit some of the sites to contrast and compare. More...

as a former member of the the institute I am gisgusted about the decision to boycot Israel. If I had not withdtrawn my membership I would defenitely do it now and shall ask members that agree to do likewise.

It is deeply distressing to see RIBA sucked into the propaganda anti-Israel hate machine. A propaganda campaign which does nothing to advance peace between Israelis and Palestinians, but instead demonises Israel while condemning Palestinians to a the state of permanent victimhood. What is more concerning is that RIBA is in fact breaking the law. You are in direct violation of the Race Relations Act which defines Jews as a race. Israel as the Jewish State is the focus of your selective and highly discriminatory actions. This is unlawful. It should also be unconscionable. I urge you to apply your selective morality fairly and stop discriminating against Jews and Israelis. More...

Finally a corporation with a conscience. Thank you RIBA for refusing to stain your hands with Palestinian blood. Israel is an occupying terrorist state, an illegal apartheid state, that is occupying Palestinian land and systemically wiping out its Arab population. More and more companies should follow suit. Boycott the Zionazis. More...

Thank you for supporting justice in Palestine! Israel will not comply with international law, so the next option is to impose sanctions via boycott, divestment and exclusion from membership in groups like yours. This action will encourage others to take the same step, that's why the zionists are so angry. Well done! More...
