Rhae Anne Photography

I’ve done 3 different sessions with Rhae Anne and they’ve all been so very special to me. The first was my son’s 1 year old birthday photos the second was what we didn’t know to be my father’s last family photos before he was diagnosed with colon cancer ♥️ the most recent was senior pictures for my stepson who had a blast and is beyond grateful ‍ my stepdaughter said Rhae Anne seemed like an old family friend. I can’t wait to use her again!

Absolutely LOVE Rhae Anne Photography. Neither my husband or myself typically like pictures taken of us, but we love the ones Rhae Anne took. The shoot was pleasant and easy. She got us to laugh and posed us without making it look "posed". I love that she tries to have a beautiful background behind the subject(s) to enhance the entire picture. She definitely will be taking more pictures of us in the future. My husband even approved the experience as painless & even fun! I recently attended Rhae Anne’s Photography 101 class and walked away much more confident using my camera. The way she explained how a DLSR camera works gave me a better understanding of the fundamentals of photography. Rhae Anne graciously shares her gift of capturing a story and special moments in a way that I understand. I can already see a huge difference in my photos since taking her class. I just had my 101 photography class this morning and it was amazing. She is so sweet and I had quite a few aha moments. Last weekend I spent the day learning more about my camera from Rhae. She is a fun and engaging teacher who really enjoys helping people figure out this whole camera thing. I've never had so much fun leaning about what ISO, shutter speed and f-stop mean. During the class there were snacks and a nice lunch that she provided. She has a wonderful way of presenting the material and although it's a lot to cover she does so in a organized easy way. I think what I came away with the most was how to photograph the "story" I want to tell and how to do that without staying on auto mode the whole time. Thank you!!!! More...

Today I took Rhae Anne's photography 101 class and I can say for certain that she/the class is worth every penny! She taught our small group how to love our cameras (not be afraid of them) and how to use the most important functions properly so we can capture a great photo with our own touch of creativity. She also provided a wonderful lunch and a light/fun atmosphere. I can safely say all of us had a wonderful time! My daughter and I had a Fall Mini Session with Rhae Anne and I was so happy with the photos! The photos will forever be special because of the way she naturally captured my two-year-old's energy and personality! ! I live in Texas and was coming home for Christmas for a very limited break. Not knowing any professional photographers in town I just started calling around and was referred to Rhae Anne, and she was amazing to work with. Not only was she easy to get ahold of and talk to, she was beautifully flexible, able to meet my nit-picky demands with ease. She dealt with the social nuances of my family professionally and tactfully. She was able to give me life like moments of my stiff family, and on scene was able to sneak in some professional headshots for me - all within a short amount of time. I have taken 2 classes from Rhae Anne. One was a beginner's hands on camera class where we spent time just getting to know or reviewing the basics of our cameras. The second class was specifically for Light Room. It was a great review of a few things that I already knew and then quite a few things that were new to me! Rhae Anne is a great teacher! I love Rhae Anne! She works so well with kids! She knew how to get my son smiling and captured so many precious moments! When I met my husband and we got engaged, she knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable and not so awkward, including my whole wedding party. Rhae Anne has an incredible eye for beauty. She takes photos that just capture personality and emotion. I am just so thankful for Rhae's beautiful heart, her upbeat personality and how she is able to talk with people for each picture.

Tommy & Rhae Anne were an incredible duo! So professional, FUN & detailed. I loved that while Rhae was with me & the girls getting ready, Tommy was with my husband & the guys at the same time - so no sweet moment went un-captured! They even took care of smaller details I was worried about, like tardy family members not arriving on time for family photos; adjusting times of these events to ensure everything ran smoothly & as stress free as possible. I loved that Rhae met with us numerous time before the wedding to go over everything. I am talking even details that did not concern the picture stuff. She truly wanted to make sure everything would run smooth that day for us. It was my first wedding (and only) so I had no clue what I was doing. She was able to point out things I forgot, like having someone directing traffic, flow of events ,and having an MC. She did our engagement photos and wedding photos and over a year later I look at them and still get giddy! Yes, it is not cheap. But you get what you pay for. Rhae Anne Photography was a lifesaver for our wedding. We had a seperate ceremony and reception. She is so good at coordinating people and making them happy while making them do what she needs. Rhae Anne and Tommy were a great team capturing all the moments involved in our wedding. We never had to worry about the timing of certain events that needed to be snapped. Rhae Anne has a keen eye and an agenda that is meticulous, which made the wedding day very smooth. Having 2 photographers was neat, as they were able to capture the girls getting ready at one house, while the boys dressed at another. Rhae Anne and Tommy photographed our wedding 5 years ago. Prior to the actual wedding we had an engagement session as well. They really took the time to get to know my husband and I to find out what we were looking for out of our pictures. She was able to capture the most amazing photographs the entire day. While Rhae Anne was with me and my bridal party getting ready, Tommy was with my Husband at the wedding venue capturing the moments before I arrived. They not only did a fantastic job but they have helped to capture memories for my entire family to be able to look back on. I have my home filled with the pictures they took for us. Rhae Anne and her husband Tommy photographed our wedding. We live in Alaska but had our wedding in Montana. After doing a bunch of research, ultimately I leaned heavily on the recommendations of friends. ...and boy am I glad I picked Rhae Anne Photography!!! For years, I had admired photos Rhae Anne had taken of friends' families (especially families with little kids). Rhae Anne and Tommy have a knack for picking up on the little moments that can't be expressed in words and rarely are captured on film. I noticed and liked that quality in their photos of families with little kids (kids move and can be difficult to photograph!). For our wedding, we asked them to travel to Montana and photograph our wedding. They photographed our rehearsal dinner and party and the wedding day itself. Rhae Anne and Tommy both quickly became like adopted family with us and with our entire wedding party. I had several people comment on how nice they were and how relaxed they helped make everything. When a small disaster happened with my flowers, Rhae Anne stepped up to help re-do bouquets and she was quick to step up for make up help when needed. As a bride, your wedding day can be stressful, but Rhae Anne helped keep the stress at a minimum and she got GREAT photos along the way. Throughout the wedding, I was confident that Rhae Anne and Tommy would get great photos, but after seeing the photos after the wedding...I was beyond pleased. The hardest part was selecting my favorites. My husband and I had several enlarged and framed to hang in our house (the highest compliment as we see them everyday). Rhae Anne was extraordinarily helpful and flexible with our wedding planning. Rhae Anne is based in Alaska, but was willing to come down to our wedding in Montana. She was extraordinarily flexible with all parts of the arrangement, from the pre planning of the official photos, to the day to day photo's, to the main event. Both her and her husband are excellent photographers and great people to be around. They both have great eyes for lighting and staging of photos, but are very willing to catch whatever moment is happening at the time.

The cost for their services was pretty reasonable, even with the travel to Montana. They are a wonderful couple and they did a great job with everything.
