What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
We feel that it’s capturing emotion, and real living. Not just a posed portrait. Those have their place, but we want the people seeing our photography to feel something.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What type of shoot would they prefer? Formal, urban, rustic, nature, etc?
What is their ideal comfort zone as far as PDA, taking photos in public, etc?
Do they have any concerns or insecurities that I can help with?
Do they have specific poses they would like to incorporate?
What do you love most about your job?
I love that moment when I’m editing and I find myself smiling because the photo is just so beautiful or sweet. It makes me feel like I’m doing my job right.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have done photography since junior high as a hobby. My grandfather gave me my uncles camera that he uses in the Vietnam war and I fell in love with photography as an art. As an adult I loved capturing special moments with my kids and started doing it for family and friends. I gradually grew from there.
