Food and service are good. Don't sit by the door on cold day. It doesn't close properly and it's very annoying to have a cold rush of wind come into your table every 3 minutes

I have been training with Ollie at Revolution for a while - this time over 6 months, he developed a programme to build my strength and confidence in the gym after a back injury and helped me years ago with a separate injury. He’s a great listener, brilliant trainer - he really knows how to rehabilitate injuries and every session is fun (challenging but fun)! When I braved Revolution 3 years ago, I was extremely worried, all those posters on the tube etc, I was 51 and really needed to get fitter and loose the 20 year old baby bump. What an amazing and positive place to get fit. I have the most wonderful Hanna as my trainer - her boundless energy and positive approach have genuinely made all the difference. Its not easy getting fit from a standing start, the staff at revolution are so positive and so encouraging and very experienced. It is really worth every penny. More...

I have been going to Revolution since i moved to London just over 2 years ago. I was born with a hip defect which had lead to chronic knee pain and a very weak left leg. My balance was so bad that i couldn't go down an escalator without freaking out about falling.When I said at work that i wanted to invest in my health and get a personal trainer, my colleague recommended Revolution. I was pretty nervous at first as due to my hip i have never been a sporty person. I have had two fantastic trainers, firstly Ben and now Hanna. I am so much stronger than i used to be, i can go on an escalator with a suitcase (!), can go on long country walks without aching for days afterwards, and have taken up other exercise classes in my spare time which i didn't have the strength for before.The sessions are really varied and the trainers work hard to make them fun but also challenging. Ben introduced me to boxing, something i would never have tried but have found i really love despite being intimidated at first. Hanna has inventive ways to help you visualise how to do the exercises and is always bubbly, friendly and encouraging. I am stronger than i have ever been and have a much better idea of how to keep myself in shape.I really value the hour i am able to spend weekly at Revolution and couldn't recommend them highly enough, even if you are intimidated by gyms you will feel at home! I was a rather worried 50 something when I braved the Islington revolution gym. I can honestly say that it has changed everything . My trainer and she is mine!!! Hanna, and the team have been the most extraordinary kind and supportive. I have more energy, more power and the best thing not more appetite!!!! I've had a great experience at Revolution which goes beyond the sessions into a complete transformation of how to look at health and fitness in life. Each session is worth it and my personal trainer is able to adapt my program to my needs and push me to get even further and challenge myself. I've gained a lot of knowledge on how to train by myself and found that I really enjoy it. I've learned many different combinations of exercises I can do properly and safely at my local gym. I love training with Big H (Harry Innis) at Revolution (Brighton & Hove). He may look like a scarier version of the Kurgan from Highlander but in reality, he’s probably the best strength and conditioning coach I’ve ever worked with. His sessions are always well prepared, he doesn’t let me ‘cheat’, and I always have a good time. There is plenty of variety as to how we tackle specific muscle groups and I’m learning all the time and making plenty of progress. More...

Very good. The main benefit from sessions here is learning about how to achieve your fitness goals. It’s amazing to train with people who really know their stuff. Harry trains me at the moment and he’s an expert in weights and developing strength — I’ve busted through limits on things like bench press etc because of his expert advice and coaching. Harry teaches at a rugby academy and is an American football player who studied with several leading experts. As well as learning and big performance improvements, regular sessions at Revolution act like a safety net. Rather than falling off the fitness wagon completely it’s only a few days until you’re back training at the studio. It’s a very welcoming and inclusive space. If gyms in general or free weights areas are a little off-putting to you, you they won’t after a few personal training sessions. Been with revolution for 6 weeks now and I really enjoy the environment my PT George is a top bloke and pays great attention to detail with every session including my meal plan and with day by day activities, I was apprehensive about starting but George made me feel at ease straight away and pushes me with every session.

Been enjoying training with Harry who is a dedicated athlete and PT with a deep level of fitness training knowledge, he helps me with my training goals and is able to expertly adapt training sessions when I appear with various injuries from my tree work occupation. amazing variety of training equipment, plenty of room to train and extra facilities like showers are easily available. can't fault. I felt nervous about starting my PT session (having never done any before) but everyone at Revolution is very friendly and welcoming. My personal trainer, Ebony, has given me so much confidence to go to the gym and know what I’m doing there. My sessions are hard but enjoyable and I always come away feeling pretty accomplished. I have been working with Grace on my fitness journey and her support has been extremely helpful. Not only with changing the way my body looks and performs but also mentally! Having issues in the past with eating disorders it’s refreshing to have a trainer who understands that and can help me improve my confidence. Instead of telling me to restrict my food, Grace made me personal food goals so it’s not just about counting calories. At Revolution every clients plan is specific to them. When I moved to London two years ago, I knew I needed to find a new training home. Little did I know how lucky I would be. In addition to an incredibly talented team, there is a sense of community at Revolution that I never imagined I'd find. The trainers are like a big family and they make you feel like you really belong there. I am an older than average gym goer, trying to survive middle age. But I never felt the least bit out of place. Quite the contrary, in fact. My trainers always pushed me to get the absolute most out of my workouts. They listened carefully to my goals and really encouraged me to achieve them. I'm now moving back to the US. I will miss this group a lot. Rob, Pep and John have created something that transcends fitness. They have created a movement. I had for several years passed the adverts for Revolution on the tube at Angel and been intrigued...but dubious of the promise and slightly terrified it would all be very macho and shouty! I couldn't have been more wrong. From the outset, the team have been warm and welcoming and incredibly clear in what they offer and how you get results. My personal trainer Ele is a genius and gives me a brilliant mix of motivation and congratulation. The programme of exercises is always varied and interesting and she is working very closely with me to ensure a persistent leg injury niggle I have doesn't flare up and is in fact, helping to make it better. The diet and health advice is also kept very clear, simple and trackable. Most importantly, we are getting results! Highly recommend. More...

The friendliest, most supportive place I’ve trained in London. Having a PT train you in a place dedicated to personal training focuses the mind and means you don’t feel self conscious in front of hardcore gym goers when you don’t know exactly what you’re supposed to be doing just yet. I was new to the world of going to the gym but after just a few sessions I got to grips with everything and the bespoke training I received has really made a big difference. There's people of all abilities and levels here with loads of different goals from getting trim before a wedding, working to bulk up or just get a little bit fitter and healthier which was my goal. I cannot recommend Revolution highly enough. I was a morbidly obese middle-aged (50) man, and extremely apprehensive about starting their programme. I found the whole outlook at Revolution supportive and non-judgmental. With their help, I lost just under 4 stone in 12 weeks. I have now lost 36kg/ 5 stone 10lbs with their advice and encouragement. I never thought that I would actually look forward to and enjoy my training sessions, but I do. It has changed my life, and, if an exercise-phobe like me can do it, anyone can with Revolution.
