The coffee shop's overall vibe is always an amazing way to start out your day. Ambience is unbeatable, staff is welcoming, and it's hands down among the best cups of coffee you can find in Portland which is no easy accomplishment.

Café de olla is probably the best cup of coffee I have ever experienced ever in life. Their sweet potato bread is also a lovely treat. I wish I had more free time when in the area to visit more often. More...

Great espresso. Malt notes come through. Looks like they have a good selection of homemade food as well. I'll be coming back :-)

Walked in and was greeted immediately, very nice staff. The wall of iconic revolutionaries is awesome, they have a small table area, a lounging area, and a high seating with a bar area. It's all in a compact room but it doesn't feel cramped. Also this almond horchata latte was amazing. Gave me some memories of being in Guatemala. More...

Had champurrado for the first time with a shot of espresso. So good!! Their atole was amazing too. And can we talk about the flan? ! Omg, for only $4 it was absolutely delicious!!! Been trying to come back, but they're usually closed before I get out of work. I'm glad I came in during my day off. All I do is dream about going back! Gracias!! More...

The Mexican Mocha is fantastic (as long as you like it a bit on the sweet side). The ham panzin (basically ham in slightly sweet bread) was tasty, but still a little frozen in the middle and a little overly moist on the bottom. If you have to wait at the DMV, this is a perfect place to grab a coffee or tea and a snack until you can line up. More...

Love this place!! Very authentic, locally-owned coffee store that has many unique products not available anywhere else. I recommend the Cafe de Olla (coffee brewed with molasses and cinnamon) as well as the Atoles (Traditional Mexican beverage made from corn or masa). Their desserts and pastries are also VERY good. Only problem is that it's a small space and can get crowded some times. But I can understand why! More...

We're staying at the adjacent Modera Hotel. The staff there recommended this place for breakfast. They have all the standard bagel, English muffin, and croissant based breakfast sandwiches, but I recommend trying the Pantzin. It's delicious! I also tried Champurrado for the first time. It is also delicious, and surprisingly hearty! It was quite filling in itself! More...
