Woosah ....I had to wait until the next morning to get my collective thoughts together as I was SO relaxed after my session, my body and brain were on vacay, ya'll. Â Where to start?! I'm tempted to be stingy and not write this review, but I believe that hard work and sheer skill deserves the utmost praise. In 3 words - Emily is incredible! I've had many massage experiences in my day and none came close to the level of relaxation and thoroughness to her Himalayan Hot Stone Deep Tissue massage. 90 minutes of glorious bliss! Is it possible to practically dissolve into a massage table? I felt like my body was in another dimension. She touched on everything that I indicated were pressure points for me - neck, shoulders, midback, lower back, hands , feet...I guess all of me! The combination of the hot stones was next level. I came home and my husband saw the results on my face. He knew I was happy and a tad jealous lol, so we'll both be returning to Emily in the near future. In terms of the spa itself, its in a small office building lot and you may almost miss it with your GPS ...drive to the back and its on the left next to a marriage counselor office. Â I had a good chuckle thinking if that is not intentional, well its pure genius to be neighbors ;) The spa room is small, but very relaxing and helps you immediately enjoy the experience. Emily gave me a pretty great massage yesterday! She has a fantastic Groupon deal, which is how I found her. The only thing I would really change is the amount of time that was spent on my neck and head area. It was a little bit too much and I am pretty tender in that area today. I had asked for extra time on my feet but i think she forgot? It's always a little awkward to ask for changes mid massage, especially since she has great techniques.She was very quick, to the point- not a whole lot of frills or "bedside manner" which was fine by me, but I guess would weird you out a bit if you're used to the opposite. Before you finish reading this review go make an appointment now because the wonderful healing hands of Emily are by appointment only. You'll thank me later! First off her entire appointment/intake process can quickly be done online. I made an appointment and completed my intake paperwork in less than 15 min. I received a reminder 24 hours before my appointment which was great! My appointment was after it had gotten dark outside so it took me a few minutes to locate the office. I will admit I passed the driveway the first time because I couldn't see the address and had to go around the block. The office is clean and welcoming. Emily pleasantly greeted me as she was finishing up a client. Once it was my turn she asked me a clarifying question about one of my intake answers and then let me change. The massage room was comfortable and just the right temperature with a heared table, oh yeah! And there's a really cool, HUGE painting on the wall that causes you to feel as though you're off in nature somewhere. Emily quickly came in and began working on me. She had great pressure, found all my knots and worked them to non-existence. The oil she uses made my skin feel super soft and not greasy. The 50 min flew by as I knew it would. I have always preferred a heavy hand when it comes to massage therapy and have usually been disappointed when I've tried female massage therapists. Â That was before I met Emily. Not only is she a strong woman but she is intuitive as well. She finds all of my tense areas and works on them until they finally comply and loosen up! I've had lower back issues for years and I currently put in many hours at a computer. Since I found Emily my pain had been consistently controlled. Emily is an outstanding therapist/healer! I am a physician and I have been suffering from multiple neck, back and shoulder injuries for several years. Emily is a very talented massage therapist. I have had many massages over the years this was my first in home massage I hate racing around town after getting a massage. She showed up setup clean and proffesionally left the room as it was when she left. I prefer deep tissue massage and while I've found many female massage therapists unable to go deep enough, she can hold her own up againt a male.
