Annamarie was able to remake my mother's 43 year old dress and made it exactly what I envisioned, a gorgeous romantic garden wedding dress. Annemarie and ReVamp Vintage is hands down THE best decision I made while planning my wedding. While I enjoyed drinking wine and being pampered w/ all my girls at super upscale wedding dress salons, I didn't care much for the pushiness and the insane prices that accompanied them. I wanted a vintage/outdoorsy feel to the wedding and simply did a google search for vintage dress shops/makers in los angeles and voila! Revamp was my first and last stop. I also loved the idea of designing my own dress! Annemarie was exactly what I was looking for. She made me feel way less overwhelmed by offering style suggestions and explaining precisely how the fit would look and recommended great fabric stores once we settled on the design. Her prices were extremely reasonable and I felt absolutely beautiful in the dress she made for me! What i loved the most about her is that she will create your design first out of an inexpensive muslin so you can tweak as many times as you need. Then once you've decided, she will take the final fabric and begin. This way, you're 100% settled on the design and know and can SEE what it will look like before she gets started. I came in just a few months before the date with pictures of an Edwardian dress that had been pinned to my own clothes inspiration board. I re-make clothes for fun, and I loved the asymmetrical aspect of this dress. The 3/4 length sleeves didn't have a straight hem, the train went off into a point at the side, the dress wrapped around the body, the lace varied. Annamarie from ReVamp dove in with gusto. We set up a regular schedule of fittings up until the final, and all went off without a hitch or hiccup. I was able to imagine and co-create, picking out the fabric and lace. It was loads of fun. I had a millinery artist, Anita Hopkins, who came to the fittings. More than 1/2 the fun was co-creating and watching the whole process evolve. Even the final detail of the flower on the waistband - Annamarie was excited to have found an Edwardian pattern to replicate. We all had so much fun! I highly recommend Annamarie and Revamp Vintage! When I got married, I wanted a dress that was beautifully unique to just me. It seems like 99% of bridal gowns out there all look the same! I didn't really have any concrete ideas, so I just took in some pictures and vague thoughts. Annamarie sat down and listened to me, and drew up a dress design that was perfect! The finished dress was so beautiful and well-made. On my wedding day, so many people commented on how my look was timeless, sophisticated, and unlike all the other bridal gowns that are so common. My fittings and consultations with Annamarie were low-key and easy. She is so great, and her studio is really fun. LADIES!!! Need a custom wedding dress look no further!!! This woman is AWESOME. Annamarie the owner of reVamp Vintage created my gorgeous wedding dress and did everything well made that I thought was difficult to do.
She knew what she was doing and made my dress even better than I imagined with her own suggestions. She met all my needs and made sure my dress/romper flattered me well. The best part of it all...her prices are VERY REASONABLE!
