If heaven had a smell it would be this place. Carrie was the nicest person I've ever met! I was doing a 50mile ride and stopped in for water and left with friendship, cookies and a place to come back to. She treated everyone that came in so amazing, she really represents this business very well. I'm so happy our paths crossed from San Antonio, TXamd I would highly recommend visiting here and meeting Carrie. She is literally a Joy to talk to and really loves what she does and it shows. Cake is terrific. I get the white cake, with white frosting. It's terrific--- light cake, with delicious frosting.(I read a number of reviews and wonder what kind of cakes they ordered, because the white frosting/white cake brings me to Whitefish Bay from downtown. )Have had mixed results with service--- sometimes great, sometime so-so.But, overall, I love this bakery. I have visited this bakery sever times over the past dozen years and have never been disappointed. The shop is brightly lit, clean and well staffed. the bakery display cases are always well stocked with fresh product. I am primarily a donuts customer, but have tried a few other items. I was coming in from out of town and wanted a really good cake for a gang of relatives. A friend recommended Regina's Bay Bakery and I called and placed my order two days ahead. The cake was ready when I came to pick it up and I was VERY pleased. I chose chocolate cake, buttercream icing, and their turtle filling. It was a delicious cake and I am quite particular about how a good frosting should taste and feel, or cake crumb that is dry or has a chemical taste. Yummy Pastries and Baked Goods. I have gone to this bakery in WFB for years. Although they are best known for special occasion cakes, their pastries and baked goods are to die for. I am especially fond of their fresh raspberry tart. They us all the best ingredients. The raspberries are huge. The crust uses real butter, not cheaper subtitutes like margerine or shortening, etc., that even some of their high end competitors nearby use, but charge the same. I was raised in Whitefish Bay and remember the delicious doughnuts we would have on the weekend. Happened to be in the area and saw it was still around so decided to check it out. ..glad I did! Very warm and welcoming place with deep chocolate walls and a few cafe tables for those who can't wait to take their treats home. I didn't know where to look first...they have a case of doughnuts, a case of pastries, a case of cookies,a case of various bakery items like brownies and a case of cheesecakes. On top of the cases they have beautifully decorated cakes for sale as well as cakes on display that you can special order. Wow, really surprised by the bad reviews. In the last 6 months I have twice ordered large layer cakes.(4 layers with 3 different fillings). Besides being decorated beautifully, the cake itself was delicious. Everyone raved. Made us realize how easy it is to forget how good a true bakery cake can be as opposed to the grocery store variety we have all become accustomed to (YUK).
