Best salon - have been coming to Madison for several years and have gotten to know most of the rest of the stylists during the that time too. Everyone is very nice here and I have always had great color and cuts. If you’re nervous to try somewhere new, they give you a salon tour and talk about what you want before getting started, including giving a quote if you want, which is really nice to put you at ease and know what you will get. This was my first time here and the moment I walked through the door I was immediately greeted! Which I love, I feel like it sets the tone for the rest of your visit, not only was the receptionist delightful, he was genuine and kind. After he checked me in, he gave me a quick little tour, and offered me a beverage while I waited. My stylist by request was Krystal! I follow her instagram @hairbykrystalc and fell in love with her work! Plus she does my best friends hair and she always looks fabulous! She actually listened to me, ask me about my likes/dislikes and concerns, and gave me her professional feedback on what I was trying to achieve. To paint a picture I had a L.O.B. Before coming in and I hated it. I hated how heavy it was in the front and light in the back. It was just a terrible haircut from a different salon. She managed to not only fix it, but took only what she needed off keeping my hair to its medium length which is what I wanted! She listened to me and understood me! I will be returning! Oh and she gave me some pointers on the hair products being used on my hair and I loved it. I wanted to buy some but it was a bit pricy, but now that I know the cost I will simply budget for it next time! I have found my salon and stylist in Chicago. The salon in very inviting and the staff is wonderful. Jenn is an amazing stylist and took such great care of me. She met me with this huge welcoming smile smile and I instantly felt as ease. I called RefleKTion on a recommendation after I received a very botched haircut from another salon. The cut was so bad that I thought I would be stuck with it until it had time to grow out a bit. Not to be too over dramatic, but I was between wanting to laugh and wanting to cry over how awful this haircut was. I must have sounded hysterical when I called, but the receptionist was so understanding and set up an appointment with Jenn. Words cannot describe how awful this haircut. Jenn is incredibly creative. She was able to blend the badly cut layers, add some texture and created a gorgeous and edgy fringe cut with side swept bangs that is now manageable and easy to style until the layers that were cut very short from the prior cut have time to grow. I went in about ten days ago. I don't think I've experienced such expertise at any other salon before. I always get nervous when getting a new haircut, but it was time after a long while to get rid of my long locks. Maria T. took great care of me and my hair, even with a super calming scalp massage which I definitely needed! She is so sweet and understanding and knows what she's doing. I'll start this by saying I've never, ever written a review before today. I initially saw Jen at RefleKTion, and she was the first person in the Chicago area to really seem the master the balayage look that I wanted! No splotchy parts, well blended, super natural looking, but I could still tell a big difference.For my second visit to RefleKTion, I saw Krystal C, and she was simply the best. She listened to what I wanted, used pictures for reference, and did the most perfect blonde balayage for summer. My hair is also super tangly (takes forever to brush out after showers). After her master work, the next time I brushed it out, my hair felt like SILK. She didn't push any products on me, which I really appreciate - I had to ask her what she used because I was so shocked by how well it worked! The day of my appointment with Krystal, I was hoping to get a hair cut as well, but she was already completely booked and didn't have extra time that day. I took a chance and went to a nearby salon, and was not supper happy about the cut. I messaged Krystal to fill her in on how much I loved the color that she'd done, and mentioned that the cut didn't go as well. She replied saying that she'd give me half-off if I wanted her to come in early the following Saturday, to fix the other's stylist's mistake. So very sweet. Unlike many people out there, I rarely go to the same salon twice just because I am indifferent about the cut I receive. However, I have been going to Roxi and refleKtion for about a year now every two months, because I love the way she cuts my hair. Plus, she is super friendly and kind and I enjoy talking with her. I have been seeing Diego for about 2 years now to get my hair cut & colored. I cannot say enough how much i love his work and this salon! I have lived in Chicago for 8 years and have bounced around to a few salons and never really found "the one" until I came to refleKTion. KT and her crew are so friendly, professional, and talented. I have gotten by hair cut by KT 2 or 3 times now and I can't see myself going to anyone else in the city as long as she is around. I went for the first time last week and got my hair done by Madison. I hadn't had a cut since July, and I was definitely outgrown. I'm also Polish, so I'm protective of my wide face and was anxious about losing length. Madison was great--she asked me about my favorite salon experience, how much time I spend each day styling my hair, etc and took my laziness into consideration. She worked some serious magic--to give me volume in the back without taking too much she did angled cuts and made my grown out dye job feel fresh and neat. I truly do not have enough good things to say about this salon, and Krystal C. in particular. I moved to the city about a year ago and was in search of a new salon and decided on refleKTion after seeing great reviews on Yelp. My first appointment with Krystal was amazing, she immediately built trust with me and inquired about what makes a salon experience great to me, so she can continue to provide me with the salon experience I enjoy.Now, a year later, I've recommended a few people to go to Krystal / refleKTion and they LOVE it! It's hard to find a hair stylist who is amazing at what they do and an overall amazing person. I've never had an issue with my hair and I keep coming back for more! I cannot recommend this salon enough! I had finally had it with people messing my hair up. I decided it was time to commit to a salon. I found reflKTion Salon and have never been happier. Krystal C is absolutely AMAZING. She did a consult with me first to really see what I was looking for and to just understand my hair. I booked my appointment and anxiously awaited for the day to arrive. Krystal gave me exactly what I was looking for and more. She took what I wanted and made it come to life. Hands down, the best salon experience I've ever had! Krystal C is the most gifted stylist and colorist who has ever touched my hair and has a client in me for life. She is so attentive, flexible, and really listens to your concerns as it relates to your hair. I showed her two pictures of how I would like my color and combine them both into my hair, she nailed it down to the T where I have people stopping me on the streets asking to take pictures of my hair color and where I got it done! The whole refleKTion experience is wonderful. The staff are so hospitable, the ambiance is inviting, and you feel warmed and welcomed as soon as you walk in. My first time, Krystal walked me through the entire salon, giving me a tour of their different stations, what they use, and their concept as a whole. They use Euphora products (European-based), which are safe and sustainable that protects and is naturally good for your hair! Every appointment I have, I always leave with a full-size bottle of something because I just love how it makes my hair look, feel, and smell. Krystal's skill and customer service is unmatched. I had Jenn LaGioia as my stylist and absolutely loved her and my cut/color. I am very particular about my hair, with still being very low maintenance. I explained to Jenn I am getting ready for my engagement pics, while also keeping in mind I will be getting another color closer to the wedding. My hair was longggg and about 4 inches of it was completely dead. Jenn cut what we needed to and gave my hair great texture at the same time. The color she added is subtle but will photograph well in a few weeks, and grow out seamlessly when I get it colored before my wedding. She also used a gloss and products that i loved. Their products, music, ambiance, and staff are great! They even have a tea bar, which I really loved as it's getting so chilly! refleKTion Salon is the place to go! Hands down the best service, treatment and outcome my hair has ever received. When I went in for balayage and a drastic hair cut, I was welcomed with a glass of wine and Krystal made sure I felt comfortable before chopping my long hair. Best part, you ask? NO AMMONIA in the hair dye!! The end result was magic! I am so in love with how it came out! Krystal is amazing! She helped me go from an ombré hair color to an amazing blend of brunette and blonde highlights with tons of dimension! She is so sweet and kind and made me feel extremely at ease even though I've had some issues with my hair quality lately.  (I have been losing hair due to a medical issue)  I have no doubt that her hair color techniques and treatments at this sustainable salon will help me get my hair quality back to what it was a year ago. She really took the time to listen to me vent about my issues with my hair and made me feel like she will try her best to help gain my length and health hair back.
