We are a small family design company that has worked with larger agencies, start-ups, large corporations and other small businesses since 2001. We enjoy implementing cross-platform campaigns to help get more business. We build websites, design all varieties of print collateral and promotional products, mastermind and implement email marketing strategies and in general, work to help people who don't speak "tech" feel comfortable and happy with their online presence.

What makes a great website?
Great design is invisible. It's search-engine friendly and works from jump to load quickly, then help your visitor get the information they need. It's mobile-friendly. It has clearly written copy and easy to use navigation. It gives a great user experience. It speaks the user's language. It funnels the user into a track to get their contact information for follow-up. Sometimes it is gamified. A great website is one that makes the person who uses it feel empowered and engaged, not confused. People always remember how you made them feel.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What's your goal with this project? What will the content be and do you need help with that?
What's your long-term goal?
Do you have the personnel to handle ______________ (3PL, call center, etc)? Usually for e-commerce.
What's your time-frame?
What are your ideas?
What have you done before?
Will you want training and/or maintenance?
Is this project part of a larger initiative?
What's your budget? We want to stay within it and be realistic.
Describe your creative process.
We start with content and design content -out so that the message conveyed is clear. We'll do a mood board for design and a site map and content map for websites. We'll work from there to develop 3 concepts for most projects. Then we get feedback and do variations until the client is satisfied. It usually doesn't take long. We might protoype a web app or look at some existing collateral to get a sense of what the client likes or doesn't like. If a client is local, we like to meet in person to get a sense of aesthetic and personality.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Scope of the project and general outline of the content, the objectives for the project. Server information if there is a web project and social media profile information if this is a social campaign. The information needed will vary per project but those are the types of things that we need. We nearly always need a company logo.
What do you love most about your job?
We love helping others succeed in reaching their goals. Sometimes that means getting to the top of Google, sometimes it mmeans implementing a cross-channel marketing campaign. Whatever we're doing, we love the variety and a challenge.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a single mother in 2001, keen to finish school and I needed to be able to work flexible hours. I started in my kitchen and ended up graduating with honors. The business grew from there and we never looked back.
