Great little arts and music venue! Saw an acoustic set there -- lovely! Some seating is plush if you arrive early enough to get it. Wine and beer are sold as well. Volunteer run space -- enjoy it! More...

Great, eclectic music in an intimate setting. Nice lighting. Every week is something new. Acoustics are nice. Arrive early for plush seating. Book your tickets online to be assured entry. Tickets at the door are limited. Though we had success in the past just turning up, we did get turned back once because they ran out of space. Wine and beer served. More...

Hi Red Poppy House people! I've been there recently for your Iranian Jazz event and have some comments! First, I really admire your work for empowering and introducing musicians and artists. That's just so beatiful and amazing. Thank you Here are some suggestions:You're place is very cozy but not very small. It is big enough to do amazing things there! You should definitely reconfigure the decoration for your musical events and placing the performers closer to your main street entrance. This way people will have more space to stand to event seat. Some marketing advice: Please start running your bar when there is an event going on! You can earn hell lot of money just by running your bar and serving hard/soft drinks there! Not just running it but let the people know and invite them to go and buy drinks thereA secret bussiness advice: Change the way you ask for money from your audience! Instead of focusing on how much you need the money, emphesize on all the amazing works you've been doing so far and advertise your future events! You do exciting things, so pass that passion and excitement to your audience and encourage them to be wanting to be a part of you (to donate or  volunteer)! I promise if you do so, you'll start getting more donations and contributions. Thanks for reading,Good luck you lovely artists More...

This is a small funky space that is also an art gallery. I go for the concerts. Arrive early for the comfy chairs. You’ll be sitting right next to the band. Reasonable ticket prices for musicians from around the world! If I lived in San Francisco, I’d be there every week. More...

A hidden gem in the Mission. Very intimate and a small spot for music/ art enthusiasts. Everything is almost based on donation. You are welcome to volunteer there and make a difference on ongoing controversies by artistically participating in the community. This Saturday night was amazing. The air was filled with enjoyment, love, and pleasure. A beautiful talented group, Makru was performing. Their music was so complex, it touched on many different styles  of music with a base of rumba flamenca, reggae, cumbia and so on. The songs were mix of Spanish and English languages. The performance lasted for about three hours. I loved it! Because it's a very small place, the sound of the music is out of this world. This place definitely has got my attention. More...

Life, Joy, Community, unexpected jewels of creativity emerge from the corner of 23 & Folsom. Like The Tiny poppy seed which gives wonderful taste and texture to food, the red poppy arthouse decorates and "sasona" (seasons) the artistic and fully human experience of San Pancho, and particularly "La Mission" only Café Mamá in the Excelsior comes close. FELICIDADES
