With more than 100 gigs in the bag since our start in April 2015, we pay tribute to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the world's ultimate funk rock quartet.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, a band with three decades of chart topping success and one of the most devoted, die-hard followings, have played shows at the biggest venues, stadiums and festivals all over the world.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1983, they have become one of the best-selling American funk rock bands of all time with 80 million records sold, winning seven Grammy Awards in the process. Some of their most memorable and influential hits include “Under The Bridge”, “Give It Away”, “By The Way”, “Dani California” and “Californication”.

As the UK’s Funky Monks with our love of that instantly recognisable RHCP sound, we are filling venues and rocking people’s socks off around the UK and abroad. Every show we do provides a unique and high energy live music experience.

We reproduce that ultimate funk rock sound, reminding you of the awesome tunes and performances that brought the band international success. We don’t use any backing tracks, everything we do is live. We capture the spirit of the Red Hot Chili Peppers: fun, lively, loving, vibrant and energy filled!

We play sets of up to 3 hours, performing all of the hits, going back to 1987 (“Me And My Friends”) and all the way to 2017 (“Dark Necessities”), just have a look at our full Set List. Like all Chili Peppers fans, we are excited and look forward to new music now that John Frusciante is back in the line-up!

Red Hot Chili Peppers Experience (also known as RHCPE / RHCP Experience) formed in Oxfordshire, UK in April 2015. The band consists of vocalist Matty, bassist Werner, drummer Rick, and guitarist Jordan.

We are four guys, who were inspired by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. We work very hard on perfecting the replication of the band’s unique sound and performance at our favourite rehearsal venues: Glasshouse Studios in Cumnor (near Oxford) and Tad Studios in Bicester.

We started out as “Midnight Jungle” by combining two song titles (“Midnight” from the album “By The Way” and “Jungle Man” from “Freaky Styley”) into the band name, with Matty on vocals, Phil on guitar, Werner on bass and AJ on drums.

After two alterations in the band, with Jordan significantly raising the bar taking over Phil's guitar duties and Rick replacing AJ behind the drums, we changed our name to “Red Hot Chili Peppers Experience”, simply to better reflect what we do.

Our line-up has been steady since 2016. Like all bands, we started out in pubs. But then we graduated to dedicated music venues and moved on to festivals with audiences in the many 1,000s.

As the UK's Funky Monks, we have now done more than 75 gigs. We aspire to be the funkiest and most entertaining Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute you'll ever see in the UK, performing with maximum energy and accuracy. We play from a catalogue of over 50 songs, guaranteeing a different and entertaining show each time, bringing you the original Red Hot Chili Peppers audio and visual experience, a Red Hot Chili Peppers experience you don't want to miss!
