I had done research and wanted a place that had a kitchen since we don't like to eat out for every meal. The Red Agave had amazing rooms and so much more! We stayed in a studio, plenty of room for two people and all our bike gear. There is a full kitchen (with the caveat of no oven- the only thing I would have changed!!). The resort faces the national forest with nothing blocking the beautiful view. The Slim Shady trail leaves right from the resort grounds. If that is too hard, the Bell Rock trails are across the street, only a 1/4 mile away. There are hot tubs and a pool, corn hole, and a fire pit. We also found Trish to be especially friendly and helpful and let us wash a couple loads of laundry during our week stay, so great! Every staff member we encountered was wonderful and made our stay so much nicer. We really loved our week here and would be happy to come back and stay again!! More...

Very straight forward and didn't feel like they were trying to upsell us on anything. Very friendly. ||The view is great, and the trail nearby was used for part of our photoshoot and the concrete platform was a nice place for family photos. Everyone we invited had a great time. My husband and I stayed a couple nights at the Red Agave Resort and could not be happier with our decision. We were looking for relaxation and immersion in the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, and I'm not sure there's a better place than Red Agave if those are your goals. ||||First, all the rooms, ALL OF THEM, look out on Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte - practically an unobstructed view. On top of that, every room has been updated. We were in a studio with a very comfortable king bed and a kitchen completely outfitted with dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, and silverware. As if the price per night wasn't great, you can also save a ton by bringing your own food! ||||Also, the resort is relatively small - only about 12 rooms or so - so it feels very private and quiet at night - amazing stargazing. The zero-entry pool (meaning no stairs, just a ramp into the pool) is lovely and and refreshing, and there are TWO hot tub/spas in case there are a few people who want to sit in them, though we saw almost no people in the pools or hot tubs while we were there. Both the pool and the spas have views of the red rocks as well. Finally, there's firepit in the courtyard that is lit every night at dusk until around 10pm, and if you're up for it, the resort provides fixings for smores for FREE; just claim your bag of marshmallow, graham crackers, and chocolate at the front desk along with a roasting fork.||||The only thing I can think of that people might see as a downside is that the resort isn't technically IN Sedona; it's actually about 10 minutes outside of town. However, I actually see it as a pro because it's less crowded, more affordable, and you're still totally immersed in the red rocks. Also, the road you need to drive along to get to Sedona? Well it's the famous Red Rock Scenic Byway into Sedona, so every time you need to drive into town, you get to drive that GORGEOUS stretch of road. Not a hardship :)||||Highly recommend this place - I know I'll be back and recommending it to everyone I know. More...

Having 35 guests, we were able to rent out the entire resort for the duration of our stay, which was perfect. Accommodations: The property is absolutely lovely. We loved the vintage charm of the chalets with the beautiful courtyard and STUNNING views. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice amenities. The pool, fire pit and hot tubs were an added bonus for sure! We were able to grill together, eat and drink in the courtyard and all be collectively together easily. Every morning the property looked freshly maintained, even with our group festivities.Wedding Venue:We worked with the manager, Trish, on logistics for wedding day preparation and she was wonderful and super easy to work with. She was even more lovely in person and was so welcoming and kind. Truly, all the staff that we encountered was great. We loved having the flexibility to choose any wedding vendor we wanted and felt that was a huge advantage for our special day. Naturally, our wedding was outdoors and the weather was perfect. I don't believe you can find a better backdrop for a wedding in Sedona. Everywhere you look is simply breath taking. It was so nice to have our first looks and photography just steps away off of the trailhead, we never had to leave the property for our wedding and appreciated having the extra time to engage with our guests.Working with our wedding planner, Kelsey at Jane in the Woods, we were able to transform the courtyard into a bohemian desert dream. Red Agave was absolutely perfect for our wedding weekend and wedding event location. If you're looking for an intimate resort with killer views and vintage charm, I can't recommend it enough. We look forward to returning for our one year anniversary! More...

The resort grounds are immaculate and well maintained, with a pool, two hot tubs, and a communal fire pit that you can roast complimentary s'mores on every evening. The staff were friendly. You quite literally walk off the property onto a trail head! However, the experience was not perfect and here's why...This place is not cheap (of course views have a cost which is fine), so when I'm asked to take out my own garbage at the end of the stay, I find that very odd, in addition to no breakfast included. The cabin we stayed in was clean and simple but the bathroom needs a little love- an old, out of place painting (cont on the beautiful sedona landscape theme!) and a shower head in desperate need of a good CLRing or replacement. If they are going to charge as much as they do, these details need to be there. More...

Our family of four stayed in the Quail's Nest chalet for 5 nights at Red Agave. The "resort" was nicer than expected. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the chalet and common areas were clean and the views were spectacular. The Red Agave is very peaceful and a great place to relax after a full day of hiking or sight seeing. The Chalets are big enough for our family of four adults and the AC in the units kept us nice and cool. The pool, although small, is refreshing. The location of RA is perfect to use as a home base for visiting the sites around Sedona. Also, the location is close to some fantastic places to eat so you don't have to go back into downtown Sedona. Unfortunately, we never took advantage of hiking Slim Shady trail (next time), but we did take advantage of the smores. The WiFi was strong and fast. If youre looking for a place to chill, Red Agave pretty much covers all the bases. From couples to families, this place really can accommodate any type of trip. They have a very family friendly pool, two jacuzzis, a killer view from the courtyard, nightly campfires (complimentary lil smores kits at the front desk), kitchenettes in each room, and did I mention you can bring your furry family members too?
