We used Paula and Gary as photographers for our wedding 5 years ago and again for a newborn photo shoot for our daughter a few weeks ago. Fantastically friendly people who put me and my 2 young children at ease for our first ever family photoshoot. My daughter was a natural from the word go but my 5 year old son was very reserved to start with, but with help from Paula & (how rude of me, but it was 11 months ago ! !), my son soon came out of his shell and looked like a pro by the end. Me and my husband got married in august and when looking for our photographs instantly loved Paula and Gary's work.... from first meeting them both they made us feel so at ease. ..
they are such lovely people... not only are they both absolutely amazing at what they do they are so professional and so lovely!!!! Our pictures are just absolutely stunning and captured every special moment we shared!

Tonight we have looked at the photos from our wedding in Feb and we are totally amazed by the work Gary and Paula have done. We are going to struggle to chose which photos are going in our album. On the day Gary and Paula were professional but fun so as we stayed calm and enjoyed having so many shots taken on a cold but sunny day. Your photos are refreshing the amazing memories we have of the best day of our lives. We have laughed and cried at the pictures as they remind us of the emotions and events of the day and that is exactly what we wanted in a photographer. Photographing our two little grandsons, aged one and a half and three and a half, who didn't really relate to each other, was going to be a challenge; well that's what I told Paula and Gary! Was I made to eat my words! The little darlings hugged each other, smiled and laughed, stood up; sat down; laid down, and anything else Paula and Gary asked them to do. The result was the most amazing set of photographs, which exceeded all our expectations. And when we viewed the slide show, set to the most beautiful and appropriate music, I wept. When we presented the pictures to the rest of our family as Christmas presents, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.A fabulous experience and outcome, and I can't recommend Red 5 Studios hghly enough. We have just used Red5 Studios to take pictures of our newborn baby girl and we couldn't recommend them enough. Gary and Paula are a great team and were extremely patient with us due to our daughter making life difficult for them crying most of the time! Paula was excellent in helping us to calm her and get her to sleep for the photo's and Gary's photography skills are second to none. When we went back to view the pics, well, just WOW! We booked a baby/family shoot with Red 5 Studios, and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of the photo shoot. Paula and Gary have a wonderful persona and make you feel very relaxed and welcome. Paula did a fantastic job of getting the right reaction from our 7 month old son to make sure we got the right shot. Thank you for the wonderful pictures taken of my teenage son. We has some of the standard 'on the mantlepiece' photos for the grandparents and some wonderfully atmospheric pictures of him with his saxophone. Everybody young and old is pleased. I cannot describe how fantastic Paula & Gary have been from the start to finish of our recent family photoshoot. My 7 year old daughter loves the camera, while my 5 year old son is very camera shy and was very uncooperative at the beginning of the shoot. But by the time Gary & Paula had worked their magic on him, you would have thought that he was used to modelling - he was a pro !!!

It is our 40th wedding anniversary this year and, as part of the celebration of the event, we decided to have professional photographs taken of our family. We are very pleased that we asked Paula and Gary to do them for us. Their studio in Elland is perfectly situated in the town centre with plenty of free parking nearby. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and ideal for a family photoshoot.Paula and Gary were very welcoming and put us all at ease. There were ten of us altogether - six adults and four lively children, ranging in age from 4 to 67! The photoshoot started with the children. Paula and Gary quickly developed a very good rapport with them, and beautifully captured their energy and sense of fun.We continued with photos of the children, their parents and us, followed by family shots of our daughter with her family and our son with his. Paula and Gary managed to combine structure with a relaxed style in the final photographs, and we were all very pleased with a great selection of images which were not too formal and provided all the family groupings we needed.We are really delighted with the DVDs they produced for us which are wonderful mementos of our anniversary year and a celebration of our family. I booked a day course on how to use my DSLR Camera with Red 5, and had a truly fantastic and enlightening day. With no detail spared and no question ignored Garry enthusiastically walked the group through each setting describing its purpose and its effect, as well as showing examples and giving scenarios of use. After a very tasty provided lunch (Thank you, Paula!) we began spending the afternoon with our cameras in hand putting the theory into practice and seeing results immediately, for those of us unsure about the use of our settings menu Garry was on hand to rectify the problem immediately! After plenty of playing with props, lights and depth of field we said our goodbyes and went on our way, and personally I can see the change in my photographs immediately as I'm putting more thought into each picture and the results really do show.Thanks for the training Garry really enjoyed the day. Wow, what amazing photographers Gary and Paula are! Our wedding was the most wonderful day and I wouldn't have changed the service we received from Red5Studios at all! From our first meeting with the couple, they put us at ease with great likeability, warmth and professional approach which meant that when our wedding day came, it was like having two extra friends along for the journey. They started with bridal preparations and got the key shots of dress, shoes, perfume, flowers etc without imposing on all the girls getting ready and drinking champagne. They then captured the fun and ensured I got lots of shots with the bridesmaids, my parents and of course sneaked off to capture the groom as well. There were natural photos and directed ones but Paula and Gary got the balance just right so that it all added to the fun rather than distracted from it. During the ceremony I was oblivious to all the camera shots so they weren't imposing in any way and didn't detract from all the special moments. The photos we got afterwards were perfect. They made our guests laugh when Gary was climbing on a stone wall to get the all important group shots outside to capture everyone, almost falling in the field below but showing complete dedication! This was a continuing theme of the day as despite the mud and the rain of December weather, Gary and Paula traipsed through fields, muddy turnstyles and down to the river of the village we got married in to get some phenomenal shots, including Gary lying down in the grass to get some creative photos. They must have been freezing as the adrenaline of the day was what was keeping me warm! The time we got on our own for photographs of just us two meant that we also got some special moments to talk about the day and our morning apart getting ready, as the rest of the day was a whirlwind spent with all the other guests. This was one of my favourite parts of the day. My favourite action shot was when I nearly took off in the wind holding my umbrella up. All our escapades outside were watched by our guests who stayed inside in the cosy warmth. However all this was due to us being willing participants and Gary would easily have found alternative (dry) places for us to have photos if we hadn't wanted to do any of this. Paula and Gary are so flexible and had previously asked for a list of 'must have' shots for the day. Since we have got our photos back, everyone who has seen them have said how unique and different they are to other wedding photos they have seen and said they were like photos of models in a magazine rather than the typical wedding photos (of course there are some of those as well!). I can't emphasise how much they helped to make our day perfect and the photos were so brilliant I've looked through them millions of times. The online slideshow set to music was an added bonus as it summarised the day without our guests having to trawl through all 400+ photos. We'd like to say a massive thank you to Paula and Gary. Gary and Paula couldn't have made our experience more perfect. From preparing us for what the day would 'look like' to actually producing amazing photographs. All our guests commented on how happy and helpful they were at our wedding. Both of them made us feel relaxed, and enabled us to get the most out of producing a record of our very special day. I cannot explain just how wonderful Paula & Gary are! A wedding day is a day you want to remember forever and for all the right reasons and this is why we picked Red 5 Studios.
Paula and Gary got it so right with us - they weren't imposing, demanding or rude. They were 100% attentive, creative and allowed us to enjoy the whole day without feeling like we were just on a shoot. It was like having an extra two friends with us to share in our day.
Nothing was too much for this pair – they were complete professionals without the cold front. I cannot express the importance of having a photographer you actually like – it’s a long day to spend with them otherwise and Andy and I had such a laugh with Gary & Paula. We wanted a few different types of photos and Gary couldn’t have been more obliging or excited to do this for us.
All our guests commented on how good they were on the day and the quality of their service really is 1st class. We opted for the fun shoot as well and they got everyone involved which is exactly what we were hoping for.
I felt like they had a genuine interest in us and were truly pleased to be there.
In summary – fantastic people, fantastic photos, fantastic service and fantastic prices!
