Awesome hotel if you are looking for more room. We stayed 3 in a room with two queen beds and sofa bed. Rooms were clean and comfortable Reason for 4 stars and it's a big one for me we're the outlets in the room, all of our phones and laptops barely charged overnight. Usually it takes about an hour or two but here after keeping the phone connected all night we barely managed to get to 30% and in New York City with all the sightseeing etc. it's not enough More...

More...
Overall, our experience over an 8-night stay was a pleasant one! The nearest subway station is 34th/Penn Station and is in proximity by foot to Madison Square Garden, Macy's, and Times Square (usually took the A, C, or E train though). Starbucks and two bagel shops are just over one block, and pizza and Sabretts hot dogs a couple blocks over on every corner! Our room on the 15th floor was excellent! Very large for a King size room in NY. Although we did encounter a few snafus on our first night, the engineering manager promptly resolved the issues (curtain and A/C temp).Housekeeping was great! Fresh towels and a tidy room & bed made daily. I really love the weighted bedspread they use here (both rooms). Slept like baby! Whenever we encountered housekeeping in the hallways, they would always greet us with happy smiles and conversation. The double shower head (handheld and waterfall) in our first room, Room 1505, was AWESOME!! I need this in my own home! No tub, but a very spacious toilet room made it comfortable. Now our second room, Room 1408, had a tub but overall it appeared to be ADA compliant. No waterfall showerhead, but a lot of railing available. It was still very spacious. The TV was easy to figure out. The room also came equipped with a refrigerator and mini Kuerig coffee maker. A nice long writing table, a wooden bench/storage, closet, and safe. Plenty of outlets by the bedside for charging. The lobby, dining area, and bar offered comfortable seating. A breakfast buffet is available for $16 and a Happy hour menu daily from 4-7pm.No laundry available onsite, but me managed to figure it out elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again! Felt safe. The NYPD building is literally right next door! More...
Only stayed for one night. Got upgraded from one king to two queens which was great because I was staying with a friend. It was in a convenient area, however, probably wouldn't stay here longer than a day or two. It's very plain, small and the bathroom had no hand soap. More...
totally impressed by this friendly, well run ,clean hotel situated just off Times Square. Huge family room comfortably catering for 3 adults & 2 teenagers. A sun terrace on floor 15 with views of the river & ESB. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Super friendly/ helpful staff. Rooms clean as a pin. Would definitely come back again More...
We got a great deal on this hotel for our Memorial weekend trip. Its location’s great. We were in between Hudson Yards, Maddison Square Garden and Times Square. We got a family room since we were 6 people traveling and the room was perfect to accommodate everyone. Lobby and common areas were really nice too More...
One little problem very loud AC
Stayed here on points. Good location. A very easy walk from Penn Station and convenient to the subway. For a quick one night stay in and out of town I recommend it.
Excellent rooms. Great location.
Had a great stay with the grandkids in a family room
Great customer service. Spacious rooms!! Lovely location... I would highly recommend TRYP Hotel!!
The front desk staff was friendly and worked with my group to split the hotel bill. Breakfast was decent and a comparable cost. The room was new, clean, beds (even the sofa bed) were comfortable, and housekeeping staff kept our room nice and tidy. I would stay in this hotel again. More...

We spent the weekend at the hotel for my daughter's 11th birthday. We had a spacious suite with double Queen beds and a living area. The suite's capacity was up to 6 people. The suite was styled in contemporary decor with the usual amenities. The hotel is centrally located with all modes of transportation within a 1-2 block radius, walking distance to the theaters, restaurants, concert halls, museums and other tourist sites. More...
Enjoyed my stay at this place.
Stayed here before and will stay again. Woman at desk was very accommodating and location is close to Penn Station but not too close. Was close enough to walk up to theater district and places to eat in Hell's Kitchen. More...

Very spaceious room size. Then other hotel rooms, great service I can say the hotel bartender was very good. Great place for more than family size rooms your not on top of each other.
From the moment I walked in the lobby door, I was surprised and amazed by this hotel! It's perfectly tucked away just half a block off 8th Street, yet steps away from everything NYC! The atmosphere fresh and chic without any of the pretentious hipster vibe that would normally turn me off.
This was my first visit to NYC, and I was only passing through for a single night. When I arrived at 9:00 am, I was hoping that I could my luggage my bags until the 3:00 check in, but was instead told that my room was ready and handed my key! After the long, long bit of traveling I had just completed (just how long must have been written all over my face!), this early check in was a life-saver!
I was able to nap a bit before hitting the pavement for as much NYC as I could find. And it was very easy to find since I was so close to Times Square. It was a pretty warm day, and I loved that I was able to head back to my room and cool down, drop off my bags, and map out my next destination, without ever feeling that I was backtracking.
I was amazed by my stay at TRYP. So many hotels, even those considered luxury, leave me feeling somewhat disappointed: maybe a marble bathroom with lousy clogged up shower head, or a staff that somehow switches for customer service to self-serve after check in. Whatever it is, I always finds something that feels off just enough to miss home. But not here. I felt completely at home here.
TRYP Times Square exceeded my expectations in every way: price, location, (authentic) service, and style and it was the highlight of my travels! More...
Great experience lastnight. We had a familyroom. We got there an hour early and our room was ready. Staff was friendly and polite , room was spacious and clean. A great experience for a family night snowed in the city More...
I live in Brooklyn, NY and since we were doing some spa services and having dinner in the city, we decided to make it a weekend and get a room. Despite living in my city my entire life, I had never stayed in a hotel in Manhattan, so after lots of research and review reading, I decided on Tryp by Windham.
The hotel was just as described. It was clean and modern. We didn't have a family size room so it was kind of small but it was fine for the two of us. It was located close to everything we had scheduled for our weekend stay so we walked everywhere. It was great.
Staff was nice and accommodating and the bartender in the lobby was really nice.
Besides loud noisy doors slamming in the hallways, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. More...
Brilliant hotel short walk to Times Square. Staff were lovely. Rooms we had were large and clean. Good food at restaurant and bar has great happy hours. Would go back to this hotel on a return trip to NYC More...
Great Location if you want to walk and sight see the West Side of NYC. Friendly staff. Clean rooms and very accommodating for a single traveler like me. Very safe location.
We stayed 2 nights before embarking The Queen Mary 2. We found The TRYP very comfortable and everything we wanted to hand including a hair dryer and beverages in the room; buffet breakfast in the restaurant; very helpful staff too. 10/10 More...
We had a wonderful stay at Tryp Hotel, thank you so much! Everything from check-in to check-out went very smooth and convenient. The staff was super friendly and helpful at all times. Rooms were surprisingly big (Deluxe King Bed), modern, very clean and just overall great!
The hotel is located perfectly in midtown, so that you have a lot of great sights and attractions in walking distance.
I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone at Tryp, for making the trip, which was a present to my parents, so memorable and perfect by offering us the best accommodation and hospitality we could have wished for.
All the best from Germany

Really great hotel to stay in, very close to a lot of places such as Broadway, 5th Avenue and Times Square. In spite of this, it’s not too noisy so you can get a good nights sleep. Also the cleaners are absolutely great with amazing standards! More...
Great space and close to Times Square
Just checked in very impressed so far from the start
Excelente localización, unidades muy confortables.
Used Wyndham points to get a free night. Thought our room as large but after seeing some other Yelpers photos I guess it wasn't as big as others but had more than enough room for the 8 hours we spent sleeping in it.Had a king deluxe room. Everything was clean and updated. Bathroom was a little shabby in some mold on tile edges but still clean. Location was good. Literally a few blocks from MSG. There was construction on the street, so a little slow traffic wise, but there is a police station next door... so feel pretty safe.Lobby is modern and had a bar/restaurant! There is also computers available right off the lobby and a workout area (though we didn't use it).I would definitely stay here again! More...

This was a nice place! We had no clue where to stay on our trip and got this one through Priceline... it was good. The place seemed to be all new. Small rooms but worked for us. The bathroom was nice... the view was decent. No complaints. I'd go back for sure! The staff was very helpful too with our excessive cruise bags too. More...
Fair is fair...so telling the end of the story is only fair. After such a rough start to our stay at Tryp and spending two nights in the nasty, incorrect room without any response or assistance from anyone at the hotel, or at Wyndham corporate, we finally got lucky. We found a really great front desk guy, Gennaro, that fixed everything for us. He got us in the correct room for our last 2 nights and he did it professionally and pleasantly. He also volunteered to work on getting us compensation for the bad initial experience which wasn't necessary but was appreciated. It all ended just fine and we enjoyed the rest of our NYC stay. Thanks, Gennaro! More...

Family room on the 15th floor was awesome! Two bathrooms, comfy beds in bedroom, bunk beds a little uncomfortable but all in all great. Very spacious and perfect for 5 adults and 1 two year old. Only problem was the heat was not working properly. Would t go above 65 in bedroom and 70 in living area and was blowing cold air. Called twice guy came up twice but was not able to fix it over the duration of our three day stay. That was the only issue. To their defense it was last weekend when we had record cold temps all over north east. More...
-First Impression- A bar as soon as you walk in? I'm gonna like this place!-Service- Stayed here for one night in November for a friends birthday. We were able to have another friend check in for us with verbal confirmation over the phone (although they didn't ask any identifying questions, just the name the reservation was under). The room was clean and a good size: we were in a family room which included two "queen" beds and one set of bunk beds. The room was pretty cold so we tried to adjust the thermostat, but it wasn't working. We called the front desk and they sent somebody up. I wish I could remember his name because he was so nice! He figured out what the problem was and fixed it within about 10 minutes. He let us know what time he was working until and if we needed anything else he would be more than happy to help. No other issues.Checkout was easy, and they held our seven humongous bags for us while we went to brunch.-Price- Split the room four ways, I think we each paid a little less than $100-Did Not Like- N/A-Noteworthy- Champagne at check in!-Recommended?- I would stay here again More...
Have a nice stay would stay there again The staff was very nice to my family
Great location . Police substation next door. Within walking distance of "must see" places and subway very close. Highly recommend!!
Easy access from penn station! About a 10 min walk to the center of Times Square. Very clean and comfy room. WiFi was included and worked well. Construction being done on building next door that started at 6:30am... so it helped us get up early for the day. Tried to get a mimosa in the morning (around 10am) but the bar wasn't open :( More...
Nice hotel. Functional. Clean. Nice staff. Bathroom small with not a lot of counter space. Shower not draining well and shower head awkward though good pressure. Concierge NOT helpful at all. Not like a typical NYC hotel where they are knowledgeable and friendly. I questioned why she had a concierge badge on based on her reaction when i asked about a good dinner spot near Rockefeller Plaza. This hotel was a good deal on Hotwire and exceeded our expectations based on that. More...

Beautiful hotel and room And the beautiful thing that good book the room workers very much
Jättebra, fräscht hotell, inga heltäckningsmattor, centralt och trevlig hjälpsam personal. Det negativa skulle vara att rummet var aningen kallt.

Having read some of these reviews, I wonder if we're all referring to the same hotel. Our stay was pretty near perfect. Our check in was late; I'll attribute that to all the folks who feel they should be granted a late checkout and thus delay the housekeeping staff. We were very pleased with our European boutique-like room. Plenty of space. Our view wasn't great but we had plenty of opportunities for outstanding views while touring the City. The staff...they were awesome..from housekeeping to concierge to the breakfast crew to the bellhop!!! Friendly and helpful always!! Breakfast was deliciously prepared and elegantly presented! The 'library' was a fun, quiet place to hang out if you didn't want to people-watch while sitting in the lobby. With a deli, diner, drugstore, and more just around the corner, anything you desired was just a few moments away anytime of day/night. Penn Square subway station was half of a block away. The nightmarish tourist trap, otherwise known as Time Square, was a short walk from the front door. Each day upon our return, our room had been cleaned and prepared just as it would've been for our very first arrival. Housekeeping went above and beyond what most hotels do. On our final day, we had a late flight out of Newark. We checked out at the listed check-out time...handing all six of our bags over to the bellhop to be secured...free of charge..until we arrived back to meet our shuttle. I can't even think of a single negative word to say regarding this hotel. I plan on visiting the City again...I'll happily choose this hotel when I do. More...

NYC my favorite city i love this place and I will be there for a few weeks
5 personer i familjerummet var verkligen bra!
Hotel molto accogliente, personale disponibile. Pulito e camere spaziose, a pochi isolati da time square e fermata della tube vicinissima.
I highly recommend staying here! Very clean and convenient location! The staff was very professional and friendly as well! Will stay again!
I came into the city Thursday night for a Friday morning job interview. I had asked for a quiet room so that I could get a good night's sleep. They ended up giving me a room towards the back of the hotel--not so quiet during the day due to construction noise at the back of the hotel, but perfect at night since I really didn't hear any street noise. All things considered this is still a noisy/rowdy hotel, so if you're traveling for business I'd suggest another place. But overall I find the staff wonderful and really accommodating. Lesley, Elizabeth, and Raul were especially wonderful. I appreciated all of their help. Thank you! More...
Very nice staff, friendly, and quick to help. My biggest problem is that the walls are paper thin and being that there is no way to keep the fan on at night (not the air conditioning, the fan) there's no way to drown out the noise. So I heard people having sex at midnight, then heard their friends coming over as they mocked another friend that they saw earlier in the night, and was jolted awake constantly by slamming doors (because they don't have anything to make the doors close slowly and quietly). My suggestion: Allow guests to keep the fan function on all night, I understand not wanting air conditioning to run the entire night. More...
The stay here overall was pretty good. I like the bar inside the lobby and the little library space is very handy for waiting around. It's hard to find affordable large rooms in the city that are also quality. The room was very clean and the beds were large enough to fit more than two people easy. Our room had two beds and a fold-out bed and there was a lot of room and 2 bathrooms. The location was pretty perfect for touristy things. The staff was all friendly and accomodating and the hotel let us keep our bags with them overtime for a very small fee. The police station is right next door and there's tons of good food nearby. Would definitely stay here again. More...

Hotel hospitality was good. They have a nice well designed building with a waiting area, including a bar & cafe lounge at entrance point.Rooms are super cozy & stylish as well. They definitely make it feel a bit more spacey with the layout. The room we stayed in had great views with a side balcony, 2 queen beds, 1 bunk bed, 2 bathrooms, 2 closets, a mini walkway kitchen, & a mini lounge corner.Visited out from Cali w/ my family of 6 for vacation, and this was a solid choice to stay at.Could Use Improvements:* Bunk Beds felt hard & may be time to change the mattresses More...

Fantastic hotel, ideally located in midtown within easy reach of all main subway lines.
Fabulously cool hotel! Great location, super comfy bed, super friendly staff and great room with a view! Very happy with our stay!
Great location. Nicely appointed rooms. Wonderful neighborhood and surrounded by great little restaurants. It also has a great little restaurant and bar too!
This place was pretty amazing. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and accommodating our family room was. Our travel agent definitely did a great job suggesting this place. The food in the restaurant downstairs was surprisingly good, the service was just OK. Housekeeping did an excellent job at making sure we had enough toiletries, towels, etc. I was more than pleased with the cleanliness of our room; we definitely felt comfortable during our stay. The head door man was exceptional! He even waved a cab down for us on one of our site seeing days which I thought was very kind. He definitely deserves a raise and or a promotion, he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy every single day of our visit. His customer service and people skills were exceptional! Only downfall to this place and the reason why I gave it 4 stars was because of the OK service we received at the restaurant in the lobby and the parking horror we went through. We are a family of 5 with small children, we rented a van and road tripped it out to the city and weren't aware that on top of parking being $65 a day, we couldn't take our van in and out as we pleased. The parking garage was across and NOT part of the hotel, and the customer service there was HORRIBLE!! Horrible doesn't even describe how rude and unprofessional those people were. Wyndham should definitely look into getting their own parking garage if possible. I guess that's kind of our fault for not doing a little more research. Definitely not a kid friendly vacation location but I would definitely consider staying here again and I highly recommend it for whoever is brave enough to stay in the city with their family. More...

We loved it! The room was very nice and clean. Also the room had a mini fridge, a coffee maker and clothes iron. The location is pretty good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One night we were thirsty and call to the front desk to ask if they sell water (it was pretty late) and they deliver it to our room with no cost. I'm giving a 4 because they don't have a microwave in the lobby or rooms and with NYC temperatures in winter, the food gets cold very quickly. We will definetly get back! More...

The front desk placed a beautiful complimentary arrangement. The front desk staff was accommodating and very friendly. The cleaning staff was thorough. The location was terrific. The Penn station stop is 50 yards away and from there you have access to The main subway arteries. You are 6-10 blocks from major attractions to numerous to list. The beds were good not great. Stayed here for my my wedding anniversary. Was a little weary because of the address and being a New Yorker I know where it is and all though it was next to a police station and there were a few homeless people living on the streets, it was a decent area. The hotel rooms were decorated very nicely, very funky and whimsical. I highly recommend it to all out of towner's. I will be staying there for an entire weekend again in January 2017. The subway is at the end of the block and times square is a 10 minute walk. MSG is two blocks away as well. You can't beat the pricing or location. And the staff was great and attentive as well. Awesome hotel...got upgraded without asking and got an amazing room! We were given the fitness room. It had 2 restrooms and a great tv area w/couch, in addition to the two queen beds and tv. I loved the service. Great bar in the lobby. Location was close to all. Will go again soon! More...
My boyfriend is an ironworker and his current construction site is located two blocks away from Tryp Hotel. Both of us live in Queens but when we want to have a date night in Manhattan during the middle of the week, he usually books a room here to clean himself up after work and for us to spend some intimate time together after dinner. Very clean, modern design and fair pricing - cannot complain about the accommodations. More...
I've stayed in many hotels while in NYC and this hotel by far is the best one! We have a family room and it is definitely for families! We have two full bathrooms (unheard of in NYC) a master bedroom (bigger than my personal one, back at home) AND it is conveniently located, to all the major landmarks! More...
This was an awesome place. Our room was huge, for NY standards. We are a family of four with two teens and the beds seemed like they were king size. The subway system is a New York block away :) CVS is close by should you need anything. More...
The hotel amenities are perfect and the location is very centric, subway estate in station is very close, handful of restaurants nearby.
My stay was great!!! The staff was very polite and helpful. My room was clean and nice. I would definitely stay again.

My family and I have never stayed at a Tryp hotel and usually have to get 2 separate rooms due to having three kids. The family suite was perfect! Everyone had their own bed and if they wanted to bring friends there was even a pull out sofa. After a slight mishap in going to the wrong Tryp when we found the correct one there was a building behind it being demolished and their scheduled seemed a little off. I woke up in the middle of the night to construction? ... The front desk was very helpful, the bartender makes a mean sangria pitcher and we were able to bring it up to our room! My girls were very excited to be in a "hip" bar and enjoyed their Shirley temples!! The room was spacious, clean and perfect for us. The only reason we didn't think it was a 5 was for two reasons (Although I would have considered a 4.5) 1. We couldn't quite figure out the heating/cooling. It was unseasonably warm this last weekend but we couldn't figure out how to turn off the AC. Three were two temp controls and a sign saying there would be a slight delay. However when we turned it down it started pumping out more air? At some point the temp became steady only to have me up during the construction noise trying to figure out how to turn it back on :).. 2. Lightening was a little hard to find. When we came into the room we had a hard time finding the light switch and waking up in the middle of the night was slightly hazardous due to my daughters sleeping in the bunk bed and dumping their items in front. (Which was the walk way to the bathroom) On a plus note the bathroom has an automatic light so that was super easy to find!We would def stay here again!! More...
My fiancée and I stayed at the Tryp for 10 days over New Years. We had mostly stayed at 5 star luxury hotels in previous trips to New York, but decided to use up some of our Wyndham reward points over this stay. I wasn't sure what to expect with this hotel. It's in a great area, the decor in the rooms is unique and fresh. Room had plenty of space for my stuff (and I brought a lot of clothing) I requested a microwave along with the fridge and it was provided immediately. They have a great restaurant, gym, rooftop with an amazing view and kind staff. Very laid back and cool atmosphere. SPECIAL thanks to the manager Herbert who went out of his way to make this stay one of our best and most memorable ever in New York City. I don't say this often about hotels, but I will DEFINITELY be return. More...
I spent 1 night last nov 15 and the hotel is great. the room is tight but really efficient. all is very clean and new.
Three things i was looking for in a hotel on my first trip to New York.1. Safe area2. Quiet room3. Close to all the sightsThese three items are exactly what I found at this hotel.1. Safety, this hotel is next to the police station. 2. We were on floor 14 so it was pretty quiet for New York. Heard a truck or siren now and then but managed to get through the night without a sound.3. Walk a few blocks down and there is time squareWe found a deal online for fourth night free and rooms half the price. Room was clean, good size bathroom, has a fridge and safe. Even if you put your do not disturb sign up they will knock on your door to clean... Not sure why. Also if you get there late they run out of pillows. They have a restaurant and bar in the hotel but we didn't stay there since all the places to eat were so close! Great first experience in New York. This hotel is really nice. Very well decorated spacious rooms. Modern bathrooms. Nice bar in the lobby to hang out at. Brand new.
Booked through a deal on Travelzoo. It came out to be less than $200 per night (out the door, including all the taxes and fees), which is a steal in Manhattan. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel. But we really only used it as a place to sleep. We didn't utilize the bar or restaurant or concierge service. When I first arrived in the morning after a red eye, I lucked out and there was a no show the night before so I was able to check in right away. Score! The room is huge, by NY standards. There's a big foyer area with a desk and dresser. Then a half partition with two queen/full size beds. Plenty of room around the beds for you to walk around with your luggage out too. Giant flat screen on the wall for your viewing pleasure. Then the bathroom was pretty big too. The toilet, sink, and shower (with enough room for two, haha) had its own spot and wasn't on top of each other. Everything was clean and the maids did a great job for the three nights we were there. I really liked our rooms - plenty of room. Location wise, they call it Times Square south. But you're really close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. It's also conveniently located a block from the A, C, E subway line. But to get there, down 35th Street, there's not too much around so it can be a little sketch at night. Late night, we definitely saw some rats in the garbage on the street. Haha. My only minor thing was that they charge for storing your bags after you check out. And then when we went to go pick up our bags, they first brought out the wrong bags so I was super worried that they lost our bags but they eventually brought the right bags up. Anyways, I would definitely consider this hotel again for any future NY trips. More...
Lovely, clean, conveniently located hotel close to Penn Station, on a quiet block next to a police precinct. We had a very easy time checking in, Gennaro was at the desk and could not have been any more pleasant, professional and personable. I had booked a queen room for myself and my daughter. Gennaro asked if we'd prefer a room with two beds and we didn't hesitate to accept this offer. However, we still weren't prepared for the size of the room we were assigned-it was downright spacious. Immaculate, well designed and roomy...does it get any better? Upon checking out, the young woman who helped us asked how our stay was and if she could check any bags for us. Exceptional service, quiet block, clean and updated...how could anyone complain about this in the middle of Manhattan (Oh, right, tourists from flyover states and, for some reason, California. They seem to lead the pack with kooky YELP criticisms about Manhattan.) Thank you, Tryp Times Square South! I won't hesitate to stay with you again. More...
Outstanding hotel/ LOCATION with super cool and friendly staff!! My GF left her cellphone/life in the room and it was immediately picked up and protected by housekeeping!! Genarro at the front desk was very helpful and made our stay perfect!! Our room was the premium corner room 1001 and it had a comfortable king size bed 2 full baths and a queen pullout great for families with kids!!! Ive been to many hotels in NYC but would only come back to this one!! More...
Lage super zentral. Sauberes und vorallem großes Zimmer. Für uns eine schöne woche.

Great location-close to Penn Station and Javitz. Small lobby and getting around a lot of people awaiting their party or room to be ready, can be a little challenging. The bar and small restaurant area are right there. Rooms were very clean, staff were accommodating and friendly. NYPD precinct is right next store. Loved saying hello to the men and women in blue when we walked by. Queen beds for families and really liked the 15th floor terrace for city watching! More...
Tryp Tryp Tryp - We booked via Expedia, and hadnt really thought much about the location of this hotel. Up writing this, it seemed kinda dumb not to think about the location. It was 4 stars and moderately priced, so we booked. We where pretty impressed with this hotel. There are two in New York, based on reviews we picked the best one. The location for this Hotel is perfect for a city explorer. Penn Street station is a few blocks away meaning transport up and down Manhatten and onwards is really accessible. Also the hotel is close to a number of the best tourist attractions in New York city. Upon arrival the concierge offered to take our bags. We politely declined, but i was really impressed. When we got into our room, i was again surprised. The room was very spacious and was decorated well. We only learned on the last day of your Trip that this hotel has a rooftop terrace. I was rather upset by this as i the heat was 33 degrees most days and this would have been a really nice to have kicked back in for a day, during our stay. There is free WIFI, but this was pretty poor. I had better mobile internet speeds that the WIFI. If i return to New York, i will make a point of staying here again. More...
Beautiful. Cool. Close to everything. Customer service was excellent, even tho there was a mixup on our reservation, and they even stored our bags while we went to brunch. I will definitely recommend and stay again. More...
Stayed here during my trip and found that I really like boutique hotels. Room was very clean and looked new w/ a chic yet small bathroom. They use Zero Percent products - very luxurious. They also included a welcome gift which consisted of a fruit/cheese plate and wine. Service was great and hotel is conveniently located. More...
Great hotel, moved here after the shoebox of a room at the New Yorker. All employees were so nice and professional. The room was done beautifully. The bathroom is NY tiny but very well appointed. More...
We loved the Tryp and will certainly be back for our next get away! After having a horrifyingly disgusting experience at the Hampton the night before we were so relieved and at ease with our experience here! Checking in was a breeze and the style of the hotel is amazing and different. I like different. It seems very geared toward millennials. The furniture is chic and the hard wood floors is a great touch! The room was quaint but comfy and very clean. And we LOVED the bathroom. The only reason the Tryp wasn't given 5 stars was bcz of the ice machine and cost of fruit. There aren't any ice machines on your floor. You need to go to the first floor through the gym. Also, 2 little square jars (1 honeydew and 1 cantaloupe) are $15. Come on guys at $3 per melon and considering you're not getting half a melon the mark up is astronomical. Despite melon-gate, this place is amazing! 4 1/2 Stars! More...
This is the best hotel I've stayed in whilst in New York. Cannot wait to go back. Awesome.x
Enjoyed my stay at Tryp Times square south. great staff, clean environment, and great location.
We stayed here for the past 3 nights and I had a wonderful experience right from the moment we walked in. The bell and front desk attendants are VERY courteous and professional and we even got a free upgrade on our room! The family suite was clean and modern which I loved. It was a pretty sweet deal considering the service, amenities, location (there's a subway stop just a few steps away!), and best of all PRICE! We stayed at a 5 star hotel a few nights before this and we still had to pay for wifi service and there was no mini fridge (traveling with the family for a week in NYC...a mini fridge is much appreciated). On top of that we basically paid an arm and a leg just for a higher thread count! Would definitely recommend TRYP and would DEF come back. More...
Great bar with great drinks. Thanks guys and girls for the splendid time in Gotham city !
I stayed at the Tryp one night after seeing a show at MSG. The Good: The hotel is immaculate and modern and has some of the friendliest staff you'll encounter in New York. The room was comfortable and not too cramped by NYC standards. The Meh: The floor was quite noisy in the morning due to the very close configurations of rooms. There's no mini fridge in the room. Not sure if one is available by request. Stayed on the second floor and elevators were almost always full to capacity when they arrived on my floor. Ended up taking the stairs with our heavy bags. The Bad: Breakfast. Do not have breakfast at the hotel. It is an overpriced and extremely underwhelming "buffet" and you certainly won't get your money's worth. Selections were very limited and under stocked. For $20 a plate you're better off elsewhere. Head around the corner to the Tick Tock diner. More...

Hotel maravilhoso! Fiquei hospedada no Tryp em Outubro e não poderia ter sido melhor! Agradeço o acolhimento, o atendimento e a segurança. Voltarei com certeza!
Really solid experience. Things I liked:-- Staff was helpful-- Hardwood floors in room-- Very reasonable rates-- Non-sketchy subway station on the same block-- Surrounding area felt nice and safe-- Terrific location-- Great showerI guess the only bummer is that despite the prime location, you're unlikely to have any type of view from your room. But there's nothing they can do about that. More...

Recomendo, pertinho de tudo!!!!! Quartos amplos e limpos.
This is an outdated review of our 2nd of two hotels while staying in NYC+ Great staff. Friendly and accommodating.+ Close to public transportation+/- Next to the police station. (At first I thought it was weird, then we made friends wih the cops, lol.)+ Restaurant/bar on site. It isn't anything big or fancy, but casual and the bartenders were great.+ Rooms were very clean and modern.- Don't expect a fancy view.+ Much quieter than in Time Square area though.+ All toiletries are easily accessible. (There's shampoo and soap dispensers in the actual shower.) At first, I thought it odd, but totally enjoyed it afterwards.+ Decent prices for NYC.+ Not super busy and small enough to be a surprisingly relaxing spot to end the day/night.Bottom Line: We were glad we ended at this hotel versus starting at it. We even wished we stayed her the whole time. More...
Our stay at the Tryp was very nice. I was going to give a 3 star rating because of the poor layout in the restroom of our room (huge window that is poorly insulated and allows a ridiculous amount of cold air in), but then, as we were leaving we met Mr. John the doorman who was not only warm and friendly, but was also extremely, extremely helpful! Unprompted, John noticed that I am pregnant and insisted on finding us an SUV cab, not a standard sedan cab, so that we were more comfortable and safer on our way to the airport as the roads were covered with snow and the larger vehicle would be less likely to slide around on the road. When my husband tried to tip Mr. John, he would not accept it... He simply smiled and said save that for your baby. John's outstanding service and kindness is the reason I am rating the Tryp 5 star and is also the reason we will be returning to the Tryp on our future trips to New York! More...
TRYP by Wyndham is a deal hotel. Great value for money. You're in Manhattan and close to everywhere. Since I checked in I have been happy with the hotel. Room is clean, big and modern. They clean up room every day pretty well. Perfect for couples or group of friends. Calm hotel. Bar and eating area has a great ambiance but little small for big groups. If I came again to New York Id come back here. Plus it's close to the best bagel joint in town!!! More...
Overall a fairly good experience. Our stay had ups and downs, but this gets four stars instead of three due to staff who were willing to make up for the challenges we faced.Let's summarize:- The free wifi is definitely a plus, although it's a bit slow (1.2mbps down / 0.5 up).- Our bathtub wouldn't drain properly, when the technician couldn't fix it (on account of incorrectly assessing the issue) I got some Draino and and auger and just did it myself.- Due to our challenge the daytime manager gave us complimentary breakfast and lowered our room rate for the duration of our stay, which was very nice of her.- The night manager wasn't very helpful. Offered the bare minimum every time we communicated. Never went out of his way to accommodate anything.- The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful.- The lobby and Gastro Bar are very convenient. Each table has an outlet, making this a great place to get some work done if you're in town on business. Wasn't a huge fan of the breakfast, but the food at lunch was pretty good.- Fairly well-designed and trendy hotel.- Floors are laminate, not carpet. This is pretty cool at first, but it seems they don't vacuum them, because--and I heard others complaining about this too--silt and dust sticks to your feet as you walk across your room. The main reason for the four star review is the quality vs. cost ratio. We visited in NYC's low season, in late January and room rates were only $118/night. Very reasonable for a place that's in Midtown, only a block away from Penn Station. More...
This is NYC. The Tryp was a wonderful host for the Jack White show 30JAN15.Clean, modern and close to the Garden. Staff was helpful but the bar "closed" at 11 on a Friday night. Great place. Clean, stylish rooms and the prices were decent. More...

Best hotel I've ever stayed in!!!! Not only was this an amazing hotel for NYC (which has some pretty crummy places)...this hotel was the best one I've stayed in ever! The room was AMAZING and SPACIOUS! The shower was absolutely incredible too! If you're staying in NYC, you gotta stay here! Its right next to the subway and walking distance to the Empire State Building! Oh and not to mention, it was an AMAZING PRICE! LOVED IT! I'll always stay here when coming to NY! More...
If you are planning a trip to NYC I HIGHLY suggest you stay at TRYP Times Square South. We arrived very late (1:30am) after a long travel day full of delays. The host who checked us in was so accommodating and very friendly. We reserved a family room and WOW! This room is remarkable! Spacious, clean and comfortable are just a few words to describe this deluxe accommodation. A definitive must for families with children, our room had two very comfy queen beds, a bunk bed and a pull out sofa. We were lucky enough to score a room with two bathrooms as well which worked out nicely. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room, but the time spent was perfect. This hotel also is in a fantastic location. There is a subway station just feet from the hotel lobby and an even larger station just a block away. Being at 35th and 8th also puts it within walking distance to Times Square and Herald square. I cannot say enough about how great this hotel is! Should I return to NYC I will certainly be staying at TRYP, Times Square South. More...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tryp. We were in a premier room and had all the luxuries of home. The hotel was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly and we would stay here again. There is currently construction on 35th street, so it was dark on the sidewalks coming from 8th Ave - that made my daughter a little nervous. However, our walk from 9th was well lit and felt much safer. More...

Beautiful, cozy and was perfect for our family/group of 6 that slept comfortably in one room with 2 bathrooms. We couldn't have chosen a better location with it's proximity to Time Square and other destinations. Check in was a little bumpy, but a nice bottle of wine and chocolates were promptly delivered to our room as a sweet apology for the delay when we arrived. We would definitely stay there again.
