At check in the staff were friendly and accommodating, they had our room ready for an early check in. The hotel and room were clean. They held our bags for us at checkout and when we came back for them they had prompt service. I would definitely recommend this hotel. More...

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have really enjoyed it.||||While everyone I've come in direct contact with was very helpful, I was disappointed with one aspect. ||||I made a mistake with my initial reservation, I chose Dec. 6-7 instead Dec. 7-8. I called within 10 minutes hoping to have the reservation switched to the correct date. No one on duty was authorized to make such a decision. I was told to call back on Monday Dec. 9th. In the mean time I made a 2nd reservation for Dec. 7-8.||||Eventually I was told the Dec. 6-7 would not be waived and I was charged for both nights.||||While this may have been the hotel's policy it seems rigid and inflexible. My mother and I stayed at this hotel last weekend while visiting NYC. Anytime we are in town we barely spend any time in our hotel room so at this point location and cleanliness are our only two must haves! Tryp met our needs on both of these. The bar/lobby was a bit underwhelming and I was disappointed that I could not get food one evening at approximately 10 PM. The hot water supply was an issue a few showers. Other than that I have nothing to complain about. It's just a quick 4-5 walk from Penn station which is fabulous for Maneuvering your way around the city on the subway. Very clean. We stayed in the family room and it had enough room for 4 adults and 4 children. Very close to Macy's and a short walk to Time Square. Would for sure stay there again.

TRYP South is a contemporary hotel with many amenities! I booked through AAA which was a mistake. There were many errors made by AAA; HOWEVER, DILLON at the front desk rectified everything AND upgraded our room! Dillon transformed a disaster into an enjoyable trip! Service at the front desk could’ve been better. There was also some trash in the hallway when we walked toward our room. Rooms were pretty clean, and the maids were nice and efficient. They ran out of tea for our room, and could have been a little more concerned about it, although eventually the person at the front desk did give me a voucher for some tea at their restaurant. The family room is spacious to accommodate 5 people.||The thing I am a bit disappointed about this hotel is the guy in charge at the reception desk at the time of check-out was really unfriendly and unhelpful. We used the airport private shuttle service booked from the hotel. We checked out at around 5:30 am. We were 2 women and 3 children with so many luggage to bring to the car. We rushed to load the luggage because the car couldn't find a parking space in front of the hotel. The reception guy didn't even help eventhough there was no other people checked-in and out at that time. He just stood and looked as we're going back and forth bringing the luggage. More...

This was my second time spending my birthday in NYC but this time I decided to stay here at the TRYP by Wyndham and can I say . .. my room was beautiful! Perfectly clean and maintained. I originally ordered a queen size bed (since it was just me staying at the hotel) but they ended up giving me two beds. In one of the nights, I ordered spicy wings from the restaurant down stairs and they were so good. The only down side is every time I tried checking out the balcony from upstairs, it was closed. The first time I asked, the lady told me the balcony closed at 8pm. The next day I tried giving the balcony one more try, this was around 5pm, and the lady told me the balcony was closed. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay again when I visit NYC next year. But hopefully ill be allowed to check out the balcony next time. I definitely recommend this hotel! More...

Our first impression of the hotel wasn’t great but actually the staff and the room we were given was good compared to the other hotels of this level we have stayed in before in New York . Really good sized room . Bathroom well decorated and nice shower.
