About

I have always been passionate about photography. My first camera was a gift from my Mom when I was in 10th grade – a Pentax K1000 – and I've been seeing the world through a different lens since then. I absolutely love being out in nature and landscapes are one of my favorite ways to use my photography.

Q&As

I work very hard to catch the BIG moments AND the intimate moments. For instance, at a wedding; the moment the vows are read, the lighting of candles, the father’s face when he gives away his daughter or the first dance. But, I also love capturing very intimate, tender moments between couples as they go through what can be a very busy day. When my clients have looked back on their photos, they often tell me things like, “I remember when he held my hand when that speech was read and we both cried. I’m so glad you caught it.” Or, “My fiancee, now husband, always grabs the small part of my back when we begin to dance to pull me close to him and it always melts my heart. You caught that for us!”

So, for me, the secret to taking a great photo, is patience... waiting until that exact moment when you capture the look in someone's eyes or a gaze that tells 1,000 words.

When working with clients, I ask, "What is your vision for your event?" It's NOT about me, the photographer. It's about the client. It's about how they feel, the love they feel toward others, the warmth in the hugs they give, and the tears of joy their eyes.

Aesthetically, my former work tells the story of my style, but I also collect information about what photos that the client would definitely like to have, and then we discuss ideas I might have for the event as well. Together, we put together a plan that feels right.

I love working with good people. And, there are moments that fill me with happiness... the look on the face of the bride and groom when they are saying their vows, the unapologetic playfulness of children, a father or mother's tears as they give away their daughter or see their son get married and also, unbridled laughter and hugs.

I owned a digital marketing agency for about 10 years. Even though I have been a photographer since 10th grade in high school, I never actually considered a full-time career in it. I was a workhorse with my marketing agency, often working 12-15 hours a day, going to bed with my laptop everyday. I was drowning in work! I started thinking about what truly brought me joy, and that was photography. I vowed to start my photography business, and got busy updating my photo-editing skills, my technical prowess, and also reaching out to others in the photography community. I'm so glad I did... as everyday feels like I'm living my dream now!

Firstly, because I truly want to capture the very best photos possible of your event, to make you happy. Secondly, because I'm very easy to work with and very flexible. The event is yours, so I want your vision to come to fruition.
