We engaged Rebecca Barnes Designs at the start of a substantial refurbishment of our new home. Whilst we already had in our minds a pretty clear idea of the end result, Becky was able to crystallise some of those ideas, and also offer suggestions to overcome a few unexpected ‘design dilemmas’.

Q&As

All our projects begin with a personal consultation, giving us the chance to get to know each other and learn about your tastes. We’ll show you some of our work and if you’re happy to move forward with us, we will visit the property to get a feel for the space.

Drawing on your inspiration and personal style, our talented team will put together concept schemes, CAD designs and technical drawings, taking influence from the latest trends in interior design.

Once you approve the concept design we will fill in the details with beautiful furniture, lighting, flooring, accessories and fabrics for you to approve, and a budget for you to sign off.

With the budget agreed we will manage every stage of the ordering process making sure that all parts of the project are delivered on time and we stick to your specified time frame. We are sometimes able to complete turnkey projects in as little as 4 weeks, so feel free to put us to the test!

Working alongside our trusted suppliers and tradespeople, we supervise the delivery and installation of all furniture and accessories, and oversee all decoration work included in your scheme. We love sourcing interesting accessories and artwork to bring your interior to life – Your stunning interior is now complete!

Classic Contemporary, Traditional, Modern and Eclectic styles due to many years of experience and variety of projects undertaken.

Coming up with creative solutions that my clients may have not considered and seeing the successful end result that started with a conceptual drawing or sketch in our first consultation.

I started my interior design career working for Helen Green, one of the leading interior designers in the country. Helen inspired me over the years with her vision, integrity and respect for the property industry. I always wanted to run my own interior design company that is approachable to those who require any aspect of design for their property, helping those who need direction and guidance to make their wish list become a reality.

I have over 30 years experience in London and the South East Counties. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and the care of our clients, their budget and achieving their goals.

Yes initially we can carry out a remote service over FaceTime or by Telephone. We would prefer FaceTime so we can view the property and your requirements for quoting fees and to discuss the extent of services we can provide and also advise which services we believe the client needs.
To progress we then require to site visit, following all the government guidelines.

We follow the government guidelines, wearing appropriate PPE, temperature check and sanitise prior to entering a clients property.
We request our clients carry out temperature checks, wear PPE on our visit and keep doors or windows open where appropriate.
All our trades work wearing PPE and carry out all sanitation of areas they are working in.

Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. An interior designer is someone who plans, researches, coordinates, and manages such enhancement projects.

An interior architect works with an existing structure and makes changes through considered design alterations.
These changes can be anything from minor updates, such as the repositioning of doors or walls, to gutting the interior to a bare-bones space with the intention of a full redesign.
Instead of focusing simply on the main structure or soft furnishings, an interior architect considers how the interior will be functional for the homeowner or for a business.
As part of the role of an interior architect, you will also be expected to understand a building's structure and other regulations, including having knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.

They oversee the entire process from the draft stages of the concept design through construction to installation and on-going maintenance. They coordinate and oversee every element of the project; directing the consultant team and supervising the contractors.

The building regulations 2010 define 'building work' as: The erection or extension of a building. The provision or extension of a controlled service or fitting in or in connection with a building. The material alteration of a building, or a controlled service or fitting.

A furniture package and is perfect for those looking for value – typically suited to people setting up home for the first time, those who require finishing additional empty rooms or for a landlord looking for a selection of entry level items….great value with greats looks.

Structural engineers and architects both design building projects. Structural engineers consider the strength and durability when designing a building, while architects focus more on the appearance and design of the building, assist with pre-planning and the planning process.
