Where to begin! It has been nothing short of an absolute pleasure working with David and Sarah (his wife and partner-in-photography) from the first time I spoke with him on the phone. We hired Realife Photography for an engagement photo session in Sept. 2014 and for our wedding on Sept. 5, 2015 at the Audubon Center. David and Sarah have such an amazing vibe- they work so well together, and they are super friendly, funny, creative, and low-key. I don't love having photos taken of myself and was nervous for the engagement photo shoot, but David totally allayed all my nerves by throwing some goofy ideas in with the serious ones, which was perfect for me. It really put me at ease, and the photos turned out beautiful and natural. At the wedding, David and Sarah were an absolute dream to work with. They were accommodating and easy-going, managed to both remember all the important shots I wanted while also being totally invisible during the ceremony and reception. Everyone in the wedding party loved working with them. And the photos are AMAZING! Of the 1300+ photos David sent us, there literally is not a single one that I'm unhappy with. My biggest challenge now is figuring out which ones I want to frame because I want to frame all of them, and all of them reflect who we are.So often when looking through wedding photography, it seems that the photographers are more interested in showing off their own artistic skill and so the photos end up being more about them than about the people or the feeling of the day. David takes the exact opposite approach. He really focuses on us, and uses his skill to elevate the specialness of the day rather than making it the focal point. My favorite thing about David and his company is that they captured the spirit of the day in the most magical and natural way possible. While he did capture some of the important and beautiful details of the places and things, the focus of the photos were 100% on me and my husband, our families, and our friends. You can really feel the joyous energy through the photos, and even when you're looking at a photo and thinking, "woah what a cool angle!" or "dang that's such a unique way to have used the landscape" or "woah look that lighting!", the very first thing you see and the feeling that stays with you is that the photo says something about *us,* and that is so invaluable and, I think, rare in wedding photography. I couldn't recommend Realife highly enough. They were such a joy to have with us on our wedding day, David has been and continues to be so responsive and accommodating, and the photos are such a treasure. I promise you will not go wrong with Realife Photography!! More...

AMAZING PHOTOS! Highly recommend Real Life Photography! David and his wife, Sara, were so much fun to work with! We were concerned with our budget, but David customized a package to incorporate everything on our wish list that worked within our budget. My husband and I spent the day reliving our wedding through the photos David and Sara took (close to 2,000) and were shocked to see the variety of shots they were able to capture. They say your wedding day goes by in a blur- and they're right- but now we can relive that day again and again! Thank you so much!!! More...

We knew that David was the photographer for us the moment we met him. He really took an interest in learning more about us as a couple and our wedding vision from the very first meeting. His wife ended up being ill the day of our wedding but he brought Deidre and his son along to help him out which was fantastic! It ended up raining that day but David had a ton of ideas to get around that and it all worked out perfectly! Overall, Realife was a great addition to our wedding - even a number of our guests commented on how wonderful the photographers were. We have only seen our sneak peeks so far but they are gorgeous and I can't wait to see the rest - I am sure they will be lovely! More...
