Before I was introduced to Raw I occasionally went to the Gym, 2 or 3 times a week getting very little if no results. Within 3 months of starting a programme at RAW I had massively improved techniques, lost weight, gained muscle mass and actually enjoyed it (which I never thought would happen! !)!! If you are looking to increase your level of fitness, loose weight, or if you are even a regular 'gym goer' I would recommend RAW to anyone....I was amazed how much I was doing wrong/didn't know (and you would be too!). Had my first session this week and really enjoyed it. This is not your average gym. Something slightly different to the normal way gyms work. I've always trained lots and the thing that struck me most was the knowledge and honesty on offer on every level ,no gimmicks.Very passionate about helping you reach your goals . If your looking for the whole package that takes into account your lifestyle too I highly recommend checking this place out.
Very professional and friendly making the move to another gym easy.

I have been at RAW for around three months and I am a little obsessed now! Sam has oodles of knowledge and experience, not to mention patience and he always ensures you get the very best from each session. I love that everything is based on actual science, as opposed to decades old myths, which gives me confidence that my sessions are getting me to where I want to be. Sam has also helped me overcome injuries that have caused me lots of pain in the past and has helped stop me causing further injuries by tweaking my technique. I would recommend RAW to anyone. .. Simply put, everything that your body does requires energy and energy comes from food, so it's important keep supplying your body with food. But the body will either lose, gain or maintain its weight depending on the amount of calories it's consuming, so somewhere in there you have to find the balance between sufficient energy and achieving your weight goal.
And of course the choices of food that you make will dictate how effectively you can utilise that energy, so it's also important to get the type of food right for the lifestyle you have.
There is far more that goes into this, but the simple matter is that nobody has ever achieved 'good health' with a poor diet, because good health is a sum of its parts: Good Activity, Good Mentality, Good Immunity, Good Rest and Good Nutrition.

Using extensive amounts of knowledge in Exercise and Nutrition, and experience in training numerous people for health, function, physique and fitness, we bring a scientific approach to your training and design you a program that is fit specifically for you and your body.
We guide all of our members through their nutrition as well as leading every workout to ensure that you are achieving your physical goal, whether that be:
Muscle Gain - Fat Loss - Fitness - Weight Loss

Quite simply; make it simple and stick to the basics.
There's so much information flying round about what works and what doesn't - some scientifically proven, some not - but there's no denying that if you don't look after your body, it will show.

Here are the key nutrition principles we set out for our members to master; once you have these sorted, then you can consider the technical stuff.

- Eat Good Food. Generally, most people know what foods are 'good'; so eat them.
- Don't be afraid of any food group (sugar, sat fats, poly fats, grains). Just know when you need it and when you don't.
- Listen to your body, not your brain. Your body is much smarter than you, let it tell you whether that was the right food you just ate.
- Make it a habit and it won't be so hard. Pick a simple change and employ it day-by-day and soon it will become part of your routine (it usually takes 2 weeks of consistency to form a dietary habit)
- Seek nourishment and sustenance; not comfort or pleasure. Change the way you look at food and you will develop more control over temptations.
- Supplements.. well, that pretty much sums it up. SUPPLEMENTS are supposed to SUPPLEMENT your diet; not replace it.

Human anatomy and biomechanics are my favourite subjects, and I love to see people progress in their ability to move and be active; I see it change the way they think, look, act and feel. It's an honour to be involved in a person's journey to a better relationship with their body.

Personal Training is as expensive as it is important, and I didnt want to neglect people the service they need because they didn't have the budget for a personal trainer; so I created a business model that allows people to receive that service for a significantly lower cost, without compromising more than about 5% of the service.
My members get to have a personal trainer and all the crucial services that it brings; they can train alongside others in a social environment, and of course pay much less than they would for 1-to-1.

Because 97% of our members don't need to pay for 1-to-1, when the service they need is available in a 5-to-1 format that's more enjoyable and affordable (so our members say).

Our private movement training sessions allow us to treat issues like, immobility, instability, imbalances, and posture.
We offer a full 30-minute session that includes a precise assessment, followed by a program of exercises and drills that will have short and long term benefits.
