My girlfriend and I had just recently bought a coffee table online, but when we passed by Joe and Jay’s furniture at the LIC flea market, we had to cancel the order and buy our coffee table from them. The worksmanship was incredible and they even dropped it off and placed the piece in our apartment that evening. It was such a pleasure to collaborate with Jay and Joe on a custom bed for my client. They totally read my vision and instantly produced a drawing of what I wanted. It was a rush job and they some how, some way made my deadline. Including the time it took to send me the perfect stain samples based on a PICTURE (!) of what I wanted. I''ve been meaning to post this photo and review for sometime now. We came across Ravenswood Industries from the LIC Flea and we were always attracted to their tent, designs & set up. My wife and I were fixated on this on particular table that they had on display but it was just a bit to large for our Apartment. The detail on the table and the wood was just so amazing, it was full of life and character. Joe & Jay really really have a gift for what they do. They are like wood magicians! We finally spoke up and started after them questions about what they do and they started going into detail about all of their items on display. We could really see how passionate they really are about their craft. We asked if it was possible to have the same style table that we fell in love initially with but a bit more narrow than what was currently on display and they said absolutely. We were pumped, not only were they able to accommodate to our apartment restrictions but they even asked if we would like to pick out the wood at the shop for our table top! We went to the shop and went through old re-claimed wooden beams that once belonged to a factory right here in Queens. We found the one that we liked and Joe gave us a taste of what it would look like after it was cleaned up. We agreed on one and they got to work on it and next thing you know it, it was in our apartment. It came out great and every time I walk by the table I have to touch it. It is one of those pieces that we will carry around with us for ever. So much history, care and thought all in this table. Craftsmanship at its best, I can't wait to have them work on something else for us to match our table for our entrance way of our apartment. I am happy to have these guys basically in our backyard. I throw a lot of dinner parties in my NYC apartment & needed a solution for seating The ravenwood guys (Joe & Jason) more than came up with a solution: they designed me a great , sturdy 2 person bench that fits perfectly & compliments my table. Love it & their excellent work.

I found this furniture guys at LIC flea market first. I love their wood work! I wanted to buy coffee table but it doesn’t fit in my apartment in NY. .they told me I can order custom furniture!!! I’m going to order small lamp first !!! Also I visited woodshop . They were working on custom bed . I’m going collect good furniture a little by a little..the lamp is my first step. More...
