Coincidently met eight neighbors here during restaurant week! What an awesome menu! Food was outstanding! Filets and butternut squash soup was to die for! I had a lovely steak during my visit. There is also nice jazz on Fridays and Saturdays. There is also a well stocked bar servicing a well heeled clientele, yet somehow it feels cozy. Worth a visit.

Experienced the restaurant hordeveres at my cousin's wedding reception. Crab cakes, coconut breaded shrimp, chicken spring roll, lobster tacos, all were exquisite. Staff had non alcoholic brew and didn't care that I had some of my own. Excellent sound seperation between the two floors so the band could play louder throughout the night to get the crowd into the music. Staff had effortless control over all three courses of the meal and allowed us to choose our main course while we sat on our seats from 4 tempting options. Pad thai , salmon, chicken or filet mignon. I had the filet in red cabernet wine glaze, with mixed vegetables and potato latke. The filet was tender and this would be hard to do for an individual but regardless for 150 guests it was impressive. The mixed vegetables were steamed appropriately and the cabernet succeeded with the addition of flavor. The Locke tasted appropriately moist but well cooked. Great food prepared by one chef in a small kitchen. Yet he Oregon's miracles there. Succulent jumbo shrimp sandwiches, creamy and decadent soups and much, much more. Last night my husband and I ate at Raven and the Peach for the first time. Walking in, we loved the decor and piano player singing his Billy Joel medley. The bartender Jeff was so pleasant and friendly , recommending cocktails and letting us know he makes the worlds best cosmos ( which could be true ). We were seated at a booth and absolutely loved how cozy and romantic it felt ( date night for us married parents of 2 ) our waiter Oscar was very nice but not at all a fine dining waiter. He was more of the Applebee’s type reading specials from a paper and truly not knowing much about the menu. We had the Cauliflower soup which was outstanding along with the pork belly special for appetizers. For dinner my husband had the pork de’jour and I had the ribeye, both dishes were perfect. If I could say one thing it was about the service. Items we asked for taking over 10 minutes to come ( like lemon for water or spoons for our soup. Did I mention our bread was brought to the table while we were eating dessert never offered to us the 2 1/2 hours prior ). I feel like at an establishment that is built around a fine dining experience they should have a fine dining wait staff. We wanted to be wowed and the service was less than mediocre. We had the filet mignon with bearnaise butter and a New York strip. Everything was practically perfect from the frizzled onions and house-made steak sauce to the pureed potatoes and sauteed mushrooms. The filet was over cooked for medium but that didn't stop us from eating every last bite. Even the presentation was beautiful, adding to the whole experience. The staff was very helpful and pleasant as well. A few minor negatives. We heard the waiter telling the other table that the menu was just a couple of weeks old which as a new comer to the restaurant was a bit disturbing because our menus were quiet disgusting. Also the table itself and the placemat were dirty. For the cost of the food you'd expect these things to be perfect. The restaurant was empty what with the summer crowd gone and back to school stuff so conversation from the woman at the only other table was difficult to drown out.
