My husband surprised me with the gift of a family portrait for the holidays. Hasain just did two great shoots for our family in two weeks- a family portrait and then an extended family photo! Hasain photographed our wedding earlier this year. You will have a lot of decisions to make for your wedding. The night of, the caterer is probably the most important. But two days, two months, and years later, the most important will be your photographer. I just finished looking at all of our wedding pictures and cannot believe the amount of emotion, tenderness, humor, and love that Hasain captured.

During the event, he had the most calming and comforting energy. People said to me, "Your photographer worked so hard," and "Hasain's energy is amazing." He captured moments that I thought were only memories in my mind or I heard about from others but did not think were caught. I knew he was there but there is no sense of his being in the way or overwhelming and in those moments that he was not taking touching shots of me getting ready, he was memorializing gems in the other room (rings, shoes, friends).

I was married in Berkeley but live in Denver. I did the planning from a distance and even though I was very organized, there was a certain level of overwhelm in (a) planning from a distance, and (b) getting ready on the big day. Hasain had the most calming and nurturing energy. There was a moment when I was alone with just the flower girl, one of my closest friends, and Hasain and it was a dear moment, both in terms of being captured and in terms of being calm. Hasain was absolutely amazing. We hired him to photograph our wedding and the wedding package included engagement photos, which was perfect. His photos are absolutely beautiful, and he always took the time until he got the shot. He was amazing at our wedding, he got there the night before (an out of town wedding) and we just genuinely enjoyed his company and enjoyed having him at our wedding. He even pitched in and helped us prep some s'mores favors! He got so many amazing shots. After the fact, and with everything done, I can't imagine having had anybody other than Hasain shoot our wedding. He was kinda and easy to deal with during the planning phases, along with Joanna, putting up with our obvious lack of experience. Each time we set up a meeting, what had been a stressful set of dates on a calendar, or checkmark on a long list, turned into a warm conversation and an easy solution for whatever issues my wife and I had hung up on.     The engagement session worked out very well, giving us a chance to learn how to be comfortable in front of the camera, and giving Hasain a chance to see how odd we could be. In the end there were some real gems, ranging from playful moments at the water's edge, to some particularly heroic photos that I didn't think us capable of.     The wedding itself was a whirlwind (as I'm told they often are) but Hasain's composed and calm demeanor helped assure that everything that needed photographing, was photographed. He set up our first look, guaranteeing that no matter what the weather did, we had some perfectly put together photos of us bride and groom. I can't say I kept track of him during the ceremony, my attention was elsewhere, but the photo evidence is there. I can't emphasize enough how great it was to have Hasain there to capture so much family together. There are photos in there of moments I never thought would have happened, and while my wife and I were only able to cover so much ground, the photos allow us a fun perspective on all else that was going on that day.     In summary, Hasain is incredibly hard working, wonderfully pleasant to be around, and was a pleasure to have anchor a moment in time that my wife and I treasure. We sought out a photographer for quite a while before finding Hasain and Joanna, the fantastic couple who supported our photography and memory making needs of our wedding in April, 2017. Once we found them and met in person, we were immediately at ease knowing we had a professional, creative and passionate photographer to capture every special moment of our big day. We did a practice shoot with Hasain (as we had already done engagement shots with a different photographer) and as we neared the weekend of the wedding, both Hasain and Joanna were in touch to confirm details and ask a few more questions.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Hasain and Joanna!  Hasain took pictures of my family and my sister's family (including four kids between the ages of 2-9! ), and the results were just beautiful.  We are usually kinda camera averse, but the pictures turned out great.  The setting was thoughtfully chosen, we felt at ease, and we look like ourselves, rather than stiff or posed versions of ourselves.  Hasain has such a mellow and kind presence, the kids immediately took to him and followed his guidance.  He even worked some magic (repeatedly over 1.5 hours!) to get my two year old to participate.   Joanna was a friendly, prompt, and professional presence throughout the process of finding a date, paying, and considering pictures and products.  Together they make the experience easy and fun!  I can't recommend them highly enough. Hasain and Joanna were a pleasure to work with. We were referred to them by my sister inlaw that had photos done with them recently. Joanna behind the scenes is excellent to work with for coordinating photo days and working on the scheduling and such while Hasain shows up magically ready to photoshoot. We had photos taken prior to the birth of our baby and after and can't express how pleased we are with the photos. We had no idea what to expect and naturally were worried about lighting, looking too rehearsed, and not knowing what to do or expect. We recently moved to the Bay Area, and were looking for a photographer for family photos. We have had professional photos taken for the last 6 years, and invest a great deal of time trying to find the 'right' photographer. Not only are family photos an investment of money, but we are capturing a moment in our family's life that cannot be repeated.

We are so relieved we found Hasain - not only is his photography amazing, but he and his wife are are a real pleasure to deal with. They are extremely responsive to any questions, flexible with their schedules, and provided amazing photos shortly after our shoot. Hasain was great with our 2 daughters (3 and 5yrs old) and knew how to keep them interested during the session, which is no easy task.

As for the photos, they were absolutely amazing. We were also shocked at the number of photos that we were provided - we were used to receiving ~15 of the 'best' photos, but Hasain provided all of the photos from the shoot. It is almost impossible to pick our favorite. The backgrounds, lighting, and capturing of precious moments was absolutely incredible.

As long as we are living in the Bay Area, Hasain will be our family photographer. I would recommend him to our closest friends and family. More...

I have to admit that I was a little embarrassed by the JC Penney family photo on our wall when Hasain came to our house to do our newborn photo shoot. I've never hired a pro photographer before (even our wedding was shot by a friend).  But I had seen examples from Hasain's portfolio and knew he would capture a view of our family that you just can't get by staging a family in front of a brown screen and waving a stuffed clown at their toddler.Our newborn was only two weeks old and our three year old was kind of wild and snot-faced, but Hasain managed to catch some amazing shots of all combinations of the whole family. He was friendly and personable, and my big kid just loved him, which made smiles come naturally. I was really excited by the set of photos we received. Now we have a really beautiful birth announcement and some frameables that our families will cherish.  And you can't even tell that our house and yard were a total mess! More...
