I provide IT Sales and Support services to home users and small-to-medium business customers. My primary customer base is in and around the Emsworth area of Hampshire but I also have retained a large number of customers in Wiltshire having been based there until around 2016 in addition to customers all over the over the UK including Cheshire, Oxfordshire, London, the Midlands and Cornwall.

Having lost both my emails and the Internet I was desperate to get up and running again. I found Rascom I.T. on the Internet before it broke down and Rob tried to sort out my problem remotely but my security system wouldn't let him in. He came out within a few days and sorted all my problems out and got me running again. The main thing I felt was very helpful was that he explained what was going on and how he could cure the problems and explain in language I understood. I started my business in 2003 after beng made redundant from a company providing consultancy to the automotive industry. At the time, I was responsible for buying and supporting office-based staff and consultants based throughout the world so have considerable experience in working with businesses and direct end-users.

I have morals and principles. I will not sell products to customers that I would not be willing to use myself and I will recommend the most cost effective solution to my customers - the one which is finanically beneficial to the customer, not to my bank balance. For example, if it makes more sense to upgrade an existing computer system at a cost of, say, £150, than to buy a new computer for £500 then I would always recommend the cheaper option.

I have an excellent customer reputation and retention and I have no plans or intentions to do anything to affect that. The vast majority of my work comes from customer referrals and recommendations but I still deal with customers who I have been working with for 10-15 years or more.

I always aim to offer a quick turnaround service as I don't want my customers to be without their computer equipment for longer than is absolutely necessary.

My website lists many of the products and all of the services that I am able to offer but I prefer to deal directly with the customer rather than through any online ordering or query process. The results are always more satisfactory and I can make sure that the goods or services are exactly what the customer needs.

I do offer remote support services and having used these for a number of years, where onsite work used to make up a larger percentage of my business it has now reduced considerably as a result of being able to support systems remotely which is not only quicker but also cheaper.

I have been maintaining Covid-19 precautions wherever possible. No more than 2 members of the public (from the same household) are currently allowed into my office and all visitors (and myself) must wear a facecovering in the office unless exempt.

It has always been my practise to use anti-bacterial wipes to clean any computer equipment left with me before use and also before returning it to my customers. I will be continuing that practise throughout, and after, the Covid-19 pandemic as I believe this offers an extra layer of protection for myself and my customers.

Where lockdown restrictions have been relaxed and I am able to work on customer premises (homes or offices), I take a rapid lateral flow Covid-19 test on before attending ths site and will report the results to the relevant authorities and agencies. I wear a facecovering at all times when working on customer premises and also regularly use hand sanitiser to ensure any surfaces I come into contact with are safe.

Services

I provide a professional yet personal IT support to all of my customers.

I will always offer the most cost-effective solution to my customers in the first instance as many problems can be fixed quickly and at low cost without having to buy expensive replacement equipment.

I offer a no-fox, no-fee free diagnostics servcie so will never charge for work done if I cannot fix the problem and/or without quoting first.

I use a range of applications and solutions to remove any trace of malicious content on a user's infected system.

In the absolute worst-case scenario, a complete rebuild of the system may sometines be the most reliable solution.

I am a reseller for Lenovo, Shuttle and Intel.

As an independent reseller, I have access to a wide range of new and refurbished desktop computer systems including NUC Mini-PC's, desktop, tower and rackmount solutions.

Every system supplied is setup and configured prior to supply. All of the latest Microsoft Windows updates are applied, in addition to the latest hardware device driver software for video, audio, networking and other motherboard components. Each system is also put through a comprehensive testing, clean-up and performance optimisation process prior to supply.
