"Raphael Homes helped us obtain our dream by building our custom home and exceeding our expectations every step along the way.
Even though we added substantial changes, a bath and additional work to the basement, they stayed on track and finished on schedule. Their sub-contractors are friendly, helpful, respectful, and always willing to go above and beyond.
Most people view building a new home as a stressful process but Rick and his team stayed on track and made this endeavor a great experience. We believe it is because of their integrity and hard work that this process went so smooth. Rick was always available for any of our questions or concerns. In 2014 we purchased a 60 year old, one previous owner, 1,600 square foot mid-century modern rancher. We wanted a complete renovation of this house plus new construction that added another 1,200 square feet.
We worked with an architectural firm where our daughter was our project's lead architect and then interviewed three of the more prominent renovation and custom builders in the area.
Raphael Homes had long term experience in renovation and custom building and the references to support excellence in both categories. Once selected, Rick Raphael became part of our design and build team. He worked with us, the architects and the sub-contractors to refine drawings, to prepare budgets and to make in field adjustments, all of which added to the overall quality of the project and our immense satisfaction with the result.
To us, Rick passed our two most important criteria - trustworthiness and looking out for our benefit at each step of the planning and construction phases. We should add two more points. First, both of us developed an easy, pleasant working relationship with Rick. He was unflappable even in the few times we weren't. Second, four years later Rick is still consigliore if we need professional help dealing with normal house repair/maintenance issues.
In summary...our experience with Rick and his company was outstanding. No project is without some stress but we can honestly say that if we had to do it all over again we would still choose and rely upon Rick Raphael, his staff and sub-contractors.

We have used Rick and Raphael Homes for four separate projects on our small cape cod home and we could not be happier with the quality of their work. Main project tasks have included the construction of a small garage, renovating our small kitchen, installing a new HVAC system, putting on a small addition to our second floor, and completely renovating our finished basement. Our first project was in 2014 and we just completed the most recent project in September 2018. We have found his prices to be very fair and the finished projects always go above our expectations. We are looking forward to the fifth and final project with Rick and his team in the near future. All of Rick's staff and sub-contractors are extremely professional and I have always felt comfortable with them in my home, whether I'm with them or not. I tend to add small projects on once the work has been started, and Rick is always happy to accommodate all my wishes, which I truly appreciate. And perhaps best of all, Rick and his team are always great about responding to calls, texts, and emails as soon as they can, so we get answers right away. We cannot recommend Raphael Homes enough! Rick Raphael is an amazing contractor. He is very calm and does not get agitated when a problem presents itself. He found several solutions and then offered them to us with his experienced recommendation.
He was also a good listener and delivered what we wanted. He works with subs that were friendly, professional and very helpful with different aspects of the project. Rick, also, worked well with subs that were not his own recommendation.
I would recommend Raphael homes as they are experienced, professional, competitively priced and they deliver a beautiful end project.
