Tasty, unique dishes in a lovely atmosphere. The patio dining area is especially beautiful. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey for what you get.

This was excellent from the entrance to the last bite. Unfortunately coming in the winter, we didn't get to sit outside on the patio, but I can imagine when the weather is warmer, how lovely it would be to eat outside. The place is full of artistic pieces from around the world, especially from the Middle East. I usually tend to avoid a place that offers such a wide variety of different ethnic foods, Because i worry that they won't be true to their taste. This is not the case at all here, we ordered the Brie, and samosas to start...yum yum yummy. I also had the spinach salad, perfection. We often order carry out and tonight we ordered Empress chicken and a salad. Usually all is delicious but tonight the chicken was very over cooked. My husband called just to let the cook know that chicken was over done. Within 20 minutes the owner of the restaurant was at our door with another entree cooked perfectly and a delightful desert. Ever since I moved to Louisville people have been trying to get me to Ramsi's. Several years later, I have finally done it, and am kicking myself for not heeding their sage advice much, much sooner. Ramsi's menu may seem over-reaching, with options from... the world. Appetizers include Jakarta rings, antipasto, and chilaquiles. Entrees hail from Cuba, Egypt, Scotland, Morocco, and China. Even the desserts have an international flair, with an Arabian Desert Sundae and Kentucky Bourbon Chocolate Creme Brûlée.One might suppose that with such a large, varied menu, quality may suffer. Not. True. Everything we ordered was artfully presented, deliciously flavored, and intensely satisfying. Had a large party... Made a reservation for Saturday morning, but it wasn't very busy at lunch find.  Food took about 30 minutes to come out, so pretty good for so many.  Bill averaged out about $15/person, so definitely a nice meal but worth it for the quality and variety.  Everything was really good... lots of  options for dietary restrictions/allergies and options for the kids.  The only people who didn't love their food ordered falafel meals...Overall a great experience. Ramsi's is definitely a cafe of the world!-- We were having a company dinner and decided to go here since we had a (1) Vegan in our group. Now, this wouldn't be a great place for a Vegan only party but he was able to find a dish on the menu.We started with the Bruchetta and Calamari. The Bruchetta wasn't my cup of tea per say. Not because it wasn't delicious but because it was basically a pizza. The Calamari was perfect. And one thing I appreciated was that there weren't a ton of pieces that looked like a whole squid with the head cut off (calamari lovers know what I'm talking about). For dinner I ordered the duck with a BlackBerry glaze that sat on top of a plaintain. Let me tell you.....it was  fire and I would order again. There is one point that I would like to make about Ramsi's, which is that it's a small plate type of restaurant and your plate will look like a fancy plate from one of those food network shows. We went here when we were looking for late dinner in the Highlands. Amir, our server, was great and enthusiastic. He explained to me the bourbon list and made some delicious bourbon recommendations. From house made ginger ale to foods from all over the world. My daughter was first introduced by a friend to this restaurant a few years ago. The atmosphere was breathtakingly beautiful. I sat on the patio outside and had a perfect view of the fountain and passersby. So much scenically to take in! The food- wonderful. My appetizers were the asparagus frittes and calamari. Both very delectable. My main dish was spectacular. Chicken marsala. My friend had the chicken tortellini and it smelled amazing! I've been coming here for the past 7 years and am blown away everytime. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, their menu selection caters to anyone with a unique diet and the alcohol selection is great. I cant remember any time where I've had a bad experience. My meal at Ramsi's was unique and very nice. I had the seitan chilaquiles and it was excellent though I thought the price was high for the size of the plate. I had side potatoes and they were very good. I also had plantains for desert with vegan whipped cream, and though it was quite sweet, they were pan fried to perfection. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I got a lot of good energy from this place and I could tell the people working there cared. Impossible to find a better vegan Sunday brunch anywhere! My wife and I always make sure to visit Ramsi's when we are in Louisville and it never disappoints. Love it!
