Rainbow Chefs was created to make the difference in as many children’s lives as possible by teaching life lessons through the exciting world of Culinary Arts. Our curriculum based classes, camps, catering and culinary-themed parties and events concentrate on nutrition education, healthy life choices, healthy cooking and baking, meal planning, manners, etiquette, and learning about fresh foods from diverse cultural traditions.

I requested a corporate team-building event last minute, but Krista was so quick to make things work and have the venue/menu/staff set for us. She was very responsive and walked me through all the packages and menu options, which all looked amazing and tasty! They truly make the process so easy. I have more than a decade of experience in education and curriculum development. I advised briefly for the curriculum of Rainbow Chefs Academy. I was disappointed by the lack of depth in the nutrition curriculum. Many courses had no connected nutritional learning objectives. Rather, they had loosely-tied math, ELA and science objectives that weren't strongly covered in the lessons. The lessons were lacking in pedagogical quality. They appeared to be recipes with fun facts. The communication by the director, Lana, was frustrating. She gave unspecific, unclear directions for what she wanted me to develop. The feedback and questions I gave were often left asked and unanswered. Agreeing upon and collecting payment was also rather difficult. From my short time being involved with RCA the lack of organization and communication was unfortunately pretty clear. I wish it the best of luck moving forward but it just isn't there yet. More...

We did a cooking course with the Rainbow Chefs in 2021 and still haven't received the recipes. They stopped responding to my text/emails once the course was over. Very questionable communication from the Rainbow Chefs - 7/4/2022 Update- After three painful weeks, I have finally received the e-recipes that were promised to us in August, 2021. During the past three weeks, Lana from Rainbow chefs kept on promising that she will send the recipes to me without providing a date. I had to follow up with her multiples time to get an update. Along the way Lana kept on saying that Rainbow chefs went above and beyond to create the recipes for our camp and the recipes are supposed to be an "extra effort" for our camp, however, this was actually advertised to us before we signed the contract. I felt really annoyed that one dared to describe something that's 11 months late as "extra effort". In addition, the first version I received was full of typos/formatting errors and missing TWO dishes. Lana told me those were missing because she lost the recipe files--but according to her that everything was custom made for our camp so she had to write the recipes from scratch? If she had the "files" all this time why not just send to me? To conclude, lots of inconsistent information from Rainbow chefs. Rainbow Chefs organized a wonderful team building experience that was incredibly memorable. Lana was incredibly organized and matched us with Chef Lori Frank whom listened to our dietary needs and developed a creative menu that my team and I, truly enjoyed. We had my niece's birthday party and it was a well received idea with all the children (boys and girls). They were engaged and able to participate in making the food that they were going to eat. At the end of the cooking class I overheard some of the children say they wanted to make the recipe at home! Lana said she would email all the parents the recipe so they could do just that. Rainbow Chefs has a great team of Experienced Chefs to make your event tasty and successful. We specialize in many different cuisines like Indian, Asian, Asian Fusion, Italian, French, Mexican, Mediterranean, Spanish, California, American to name a few.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Our process is very simple and our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our clients. We first always find out what goal the client would like to achieve, what budget they are working with (so we can provide the best options) and how can we assist making the event successful, delicious and beautiful. Listening very carefully to our clients and understanding their needs is the key to our Success.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Launched on a platform of education, one mother saw a need to aid her community. She believed in the power of food and more in the potential of healthy-eating-focused training. Five years later, Rainbow Chefs has serviced over 1200 schools and hundreds of happy corporate and private event clients.
