Our wedding day was truly a dream come true and we are so grateful for Rainbow and her assistant Janet for helping to make it an enjoyable and generally stress-free day. Her professionalism and experience was evident from the very beginning as she took us through the process and shared with us Google docs that will help keep us on track. Prior to the wedding, she attended meetings with our venue and connected with all the vendors to finalize details.On the wedding day, she helped us move things along in the schedule while being flexible when needed. She helped take care of set up details, and stepped into positions like Emcee during large group photos and rounding up the crowd for the bouquet toss.As a bride who cares about the details and takes time to make decisions, she was very patient and accommodating to offer her ideas and stay on track with all the updates. Having Rainbow as our wedding planner, coordinator and MC was the best choice we made. She made the experience so seamless, that the day was over before we knew it! During the planning process, she kept us on schedule, reminding us to finalize plans as well a provide useful recommendation for details of the day. When the day of the wedding finally came, although we had everything planned, we wouldn't have been able to keep-up with everything if it wasn't for Rainbow! From the getting ready photos and the tea ceremony, all the way up to the reception, Rainbow kept us on track with our schedule and gave us useful reminders to keep the day moving. She was very attentive with details and we really appreciate the effort and care she put towards our wedding. During the reception, she was our MC and our guests absolutely LOVED her. Rainbow was my month of coordinator and was amazing at her job. Her services started a whole two months prior to the wedding. She was responsive to our changing requests and had helpful suggestions for the itinerary. We cannot imagine having to plan a wedding without her. We appreciate how organized the wedding was. We had a great experience working with Rainbow as our wedding planner. She was professional, knowledgeable, and had good recommendations on vendors. She made sure to work with our vision and budget. On the day of our wedding, Rainbow was key to helping our day run smoothly and made sure it ran like clockwork (and during a debrief with the venue, they were super appreciative of this as we were told some planners don't really stick to schedule). We had over 120 guests in our wedding at Madsen's greenhouse and had prepared many events. She went beyond our expectations and professionally organized and managed itineraries. We were so blessed to have had Rainbow as our wedding planner! Every little detail from the rehearsal, to the ceremony, to the reception went so smoothly. We really appreciated how organized Rainbow is. I was so anxious about how the day-of would go, but with Rainbow's help, literally nothing went wrong and everything went according to plan. Our wedding was in Calgary, AB, and we had a lot of religious restrictions. Rainbow flew to Calgary a few days prior to our wedding to make sure everything was in order. She was incredibly accommodating, respectful of our religion, and was constantly updating our wedding spreadsheet to reflect the latest changes. We were so surprised that the day was meeting Rainbow's hour-by-hour timeline. Nothing and nobody was late, everybody made it to the ceremony and reception on time, and even the reception wrapped up at pretty much the time that Rainbow had set. We hired Rainbow for our wedding a few weeks ago. We used her Month-Of Services and we could not be happier. She coordinated with all of our vendors and the venue to make sure everything was organized and everything ran smoothly. We got a lot of feedback from our guests about how well our wedding flowed and a big part of that was thanks to Rainbow's planning and ability to move large crowds of people into the right places when needed. We were a bit all over the place as most couples are when they are planning their wedding, but Rainbow did an excellent job in pushing us when we needed it and gave us a bit of space when we needed it as well. Where to start .... I have only good things to say about Rainbow Chan and her team. I decided to go with Rainbow for my month of coordination early on in my wedding planning once I found out how detailed she is. It was easier to communicate with her and to get feedback when needed. I absolutely love the schedule of the wedding day she made for us. It was exactly what I needed since it detailed so much of the day. Rainbow did partial planning of our wedding that took place one month ago at The Old Mill. We started our wedding planning quite close to the wedding date itself and as such, we knew we wanted someone who was organized, detail-oriented, and Rainbow excelled in this regard. Though we had selected 3 areas to have Rainbow help us, she did not hesitate to provide some opinion even outside these areas. Though we started the planning during the midst of wedding season, Rainbow was accessible even through whatsapp and made herself completely available as we got closer to the wedding date.I have a whole different level of appreciation for wedding planning as a result of working with Rainbow and having to plan my own wedding. The planning stage is important, but execution on the day of is also vital. Though not every detail worked out perfectly on the day of, such as a few hiccups with seating arrangement, having Rainbow with us from the early afternoon all the way to late evening definitely relieved tension from me as a bride and I was able to enjoy the happiest day of my life. I would encourage every bride to have a clear vision of what she and her partner want for their wedding and to clearly communicate that to all vendors involved. Rainbow was a life saver for our wedding. We had a combined Chinese and traditional wedding with multiple events happening all in the same day. I am generally a very anxious person and Rainbow was able to help ease that anxiety and ensure the day went smoothly.Furthermore, we did not hire a florist or a decorator as part of our wedding and had sourced these items ourselves. As a result Rainbow was responsible for running the day of events and as well decorating the entire venue from the wedding arch, aisle, to the welcome tables and guest tables. It was because of her that our wedding had flowed so seamlessly and looked so beautiful as well. Our wedding had multiple aspects going on at the same time (donut wall, dessert table, live dragon beard candy making etc), extremely detailed decorations and not to mention multiple dress changes. Needless to say, she had a lot on her plate but she was able to coordinate every minor detail and ensure perfection. We received countless praises at the end of the day for our wedding. One of the best investments for our wedding was hiring Rainbow Chan Weddings & Events. My husband and I are both not very good at organizing and planning things and this was one of the best decisions we ever made. We initially wanted to hire Rainbow to be our emcee for the night but after meeting with her, we recognized her passion for wedding planning and decided that we wanted to hire her to be our coordinator. We went with the month-of coordination package as we were advised by many of our friends who got married before us a month-of coordinator was key to a successful wedding. AND BOY were they right! Thanks to Rainbow and her team, we had the perfect wedding. Not to mention, Tiffany the lead and Maribel WERE JUST AMAZING! They ensured that I, the bride would have a stress free wedding! AND THEY DELIVERED! Nobody came up to me with any inquiries that day except for them making sure I was okay with any minor changes or if I needed anything! Tiffany kept me calmed and told me to keep smiling and I didn’t feel any stress whatsoever and for that I am grateful. The entire day went smoothly and for the moments where we went over time, we somehow managed to make it up and everything we wanted was executed perfectly! You have been such an important part of our wedding all the way from the early morning tea ceremony (giving directions and helping set-up for photos) to the reception venue. Rainbow is an experienced, professional yet super friendly planner, and she made our wedding planning process very smooth and easy. We stopped by her office, and after the brief introduction and talk, we decided to use her as our planner right away as we felt she knew what she was doing very well. Plus she can speak fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. In fact, we now confirmed our selection was correct. She has connections to variety of great vendors, and made helpful suggestions while took our idea into account. She followed up on different steps with us while not being pushy, so there was no extra pressure imposed to us. She is good at responding to our inquiries in a timely manner, and corresponding with different groups of people. We like her good sense on designing, decors, and her elegant hand-writings made our invitation envelopes a surprise. We are now happily married! Thanks to Rainbow and her team who made the event happened!! Being part of a few weddings ourselves, we already knew we won't be able to handle the stress of setting up and coordinate with all the vendors a few weeks prior to the event. From the getgo, we decided a wedding planner would be very beneficial to the success of our wedding. Our venue was smack in the middle of downtown, Shangri-La Hotel Toronto. We looked around for planners who have experienced at this venue but didn't know where to start. WeddingWire ... Instagram .. Wedding Shows, good o'newspapers & etc. Ended up finding a popular one with the same last name as Rainbow =P Over-the-email interactions were super. She knew what she was doing, but when it came to meeting in person, she assigned us with a business partner. We said, ok - no problem. After our initial face-to-face and her commitment to follow up in a few days, she totally went M.I.A. When we reached back out to her, we got an unacceptable short reply. "Sorry, something came up. Can't help You" The owner then apologized and assigned us with another planner, but unfortunately we have lost complete faith in her company. At this point, I guess, it was meant to be, we found Rainbow Chan! Right from the start Rainbow was super attentive, paid attention to details, and accommodating. We met at Rainbow's office and after a few back and forths, we knew she would be great to take the helm on our big day!We booked Rainbow almost 10 months in advance. Throughout the months in between, she replied emails quickly and when there were gaps in silence (we were too busy), Rainbow would call and check-in with us to see if she could assist. We found Rainbow because of a styling shoot picture we saw on Wedluxe.We came to Rainbow with no clue about the wedding planning process other than knowing we had to book the venue and order our wedding gown and suits. Rainbow helped us with every challenge we had during the wedding planning process. Due to the increased number of guests, we had to book a new venue after Rainbow had already drafted our wedding itinerary. Rainbow came with us for every meeting we had with our new venue, and started the wedding itinerary all over again, with no complaining at all!Sean and I were both busy with our own business during the planning process. Hiring Rainbow was one of the best decisions we made when it came to planning our wedding. We hired Rainbow for the month-of coordination package because I was able to do much of the planning myself. I was not sure how good of an investment it would be to have Rainbow for the month-of package since I thought I had mostly everything done. I now know how critically important it was to have someone for those hectic last few weeks handling all the vendors and details. She is a true professional and we were able to enjoy our wedding day without any of the stress. She also meets with you periodically to go over her detailed itinerary to ensure that everything is being addressed and taken care of. There were many last minute things I forgot, that if it weren't for Rainbow, I would have missed entirely. One VERY important factor for our big day was timing and coordination of family photos. Thanks to Rainbow, everyone got to where they needed to be, on time, and I was able to capture all the important photos with my family and friends because we were right on schedule. It was a stressful load that you took off me so that I could tend to other havoc that had turned up (like Canoe raising their price on me one week before the wedding, the seating chart poster was not hi res enough to make into a poster, etc etc). On the day of the wedding, we had scheduled so many events in the morning with a tight timeframe...getting ready and all the photography involved, playing door games, going to my grandmother's nursing home so that my grandmother was able to participate in some of our celebrations...it should be, in theory chaotic, but the morning went by flawlessly. You timed everything perfectly and did everything you can to make sure we were on time! While we were at our outdoor photo shoot, you made sure our reception table at Canoe was set up just the way we wanted it, and ensured that all the wedding favors were set up beautifully. With 4 dress changes and many speeches/dance scheduled between each course, we had anticipated that there would be delays and worried that the food might get cold. But the timing was just bang on. You worked your magic coordinating with the restaurant! And of course, the emcee portion was just fabulous enticing our guests with your charm! We are now happily married! Thanks to Rainbow and her team who made the event happened!! Being part of a few weddings ourselves, we already knew we won't be able to handle the stress of setting up and coordinate with all the vendors a few weeks prior to the event. From the getgo, we decided a wedding planner would be very beneficial to the success of our wedding. Our venue was smack in the middle of downtown, Shangri-La Hotel Toronto. We looked around for planners who have experienced at this venue but didn't know where to start. WeddingWire Instagram .. Wedding Shows, good o'newspapers & etc. Ended up finding a popular one with the same last name as Rainbow =P Over-the-email interactions were super. She knew what she was doing, but when it came to meeting in person, she assigned us with a business partner. We said, ok - no problem. After our initial face-to-face and her commitment to follow up in a few days, she totally went M.I.A. When we reached back out to her, we got an unacceptable short reply. "Sorry, something came up. Can't help You" The owner then apologized and assigned us with another planner, but unfortunately we have lost complete faith in her company. At this point, I guess, it was meant to be, we found Rainbow Chan! Right from the start Rainbow was super attentive, paid attention to details, and accommodating. We met at Rainbow's office and after a few back and forths, we knew she would be great to take the helm on our big day! We booked Rainbow almost 10 months in advance. Throughout the months in between, she replied emails quickly and when there were gaps in silence (we were too busy), Rainbow would call and check-in with us to see if she could assist. Rainbow, you have been fabulous! The family and friends haven't stopped telling us how good of a job you and Janet (her day-of assistant) did throughout the day. You've handled and managed each vendor, even the difficult ones, with leadership and grace. With minimal directions, you were always steps ahead of me in the entire event and executed the various elements of our vision perfectly. Rainbow was my planner, coordinator and emcee for my wedding in the beginning of October 2017. She was absolutely amazing! Rainbow is very professional, energetic, and I had a blast working with her. She went above and beyond with helping us make our wedding day perfect. Every time I had a question, she was always there to offer great advice. On the wedding day, she helped me decorate the venue, took care of every little details, made sure the event went smoothly, and she even stayed late to pack and clean up for me. During the reception, the fire alarm went off. She was able to turn the situation around into something positive and special. Rainbow is one of the best wedding planners I have ever met - from efficient communication, giving helpful advices to excellent event coordinations and putting our decorations together, she exceeds our expectations in every aspect! Hi Rainbow, Kristen and I just want to say Thank you very much for everything. You have been such an important part of our wedding all the way from the early morning tea ceremony (coordinating, giving directions and assisting photographers with photos) to the reception venue. When we arrived at the venue, we were so relieved to find all the decorations, guest tables and entrance table were already set up and looked amazing. Throughout the day and night what really helped us was the coordination of the itinerary and schedule. We hired Rainbow to be our month-of coordinator and MC of the night for our September 2017 wedding. We initially hired Rainbow to be our MC, but from our very first interview with Rainbow, we could tell she was highly organized and meticulous, and so we also got her help as a coordinator. A lot of people complimented me on the detailed itinerary sheets that Rainbow created. She kept in touch with us all the time and was always prompt with her responding. We are both very grateful to have Rainbow's help because she made our night as stress-free as possible by taking care of a lot of things we didn't even consider or have the time to think about.
