Ralph was an amazing photographer! He took great pictures of us for our engagement photos, and was even able to get our dogs to look at the camera! For our wedding he took charge and not only was everywhere he needed to be, but everywhere we didnt know he needed to be! When our wedding timeline got a bit confusing and things started falling apart, he stepped in and told us what needs to happen next and where we should be! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret is listening to the customer and finding out what they want in their photo shoot. I have years of experience getting the great shots that folks are looking for. Some people have a certain direction and look that they have in mind, other folks have no idea what they want. It's up to me as a hired professional to get the great photos and work with the customer until this is done. I have the customer scan through the photos as we are shooting, making sure that we are on track for that certain look that the client has in mind.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Some questions that I ask is what is the photo or video going to be used for? What is the outcome they are looking for, meaning is this a photo for a website or personnel use? Do they have a location in mind? Price is also important, so talking about a photo package and price points is something I normally ask.
What do you love most about your job?
I feel that I help people out with getting a great photo that they need. I also have done volunteer photo work with the American Red Cross. Clients are so happy when they see the results from a professional photo done by me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to help people with a profession that I have done for a long time. I worked on newspapers as a photojournalist and that was my passion. I like sharing my passion with others and getting someone that great photo is always rewarding.
