For photographic work, we are able to use our onsite photographic studio for product shots, and can even bring our equipment to you for on-site work. If you have had images taken already and need them to zing off the screen or page by removal of noise, background colour changes or general touch up work talk to us to see how we can post-process your shots for you.
We can design logos and company stationery as well as produce branding for products. We don't print in-house but we do deal with external printing companies to provide a turnkey solution to your stationery and branding requirements.
Animation is a huge new emerging area in today's marketing world, and we can produce animations in the form of explainer, product and software introductions as well as any other animation you may need as part of your marketing strategies. We produce animations not only in the whiteboard and cartoon styles, but also as a more high-end professional feel to fit with your requirements.
Copywriting is a key area that people both advice and good quality copy written for their business needs. We are now able to offer copywriting services to complement our existing services. Being able to provide good quality copy services in-house means we can provide a more comprehensive service to our clients. Copywriting services not only cover the more usual copy for emails, websites, and promotional literature, but we also use our copywriters to script our animations to ensure that the message that is conveyed is both on point and also speaks to your customers to get them to reach out as a lead. R55 Digital Media Q&A
What do you love most about your job?
The best thing about my job is helping people by using my skills and working with a wide range of clients. Every client has a different vision and has passion and drive which is always great to see. There are times when projects can get tough, but knowledge of the end goal helps to drive things forward.
What inspired you to start your own business?
For me, my own business means both freedom and the ability to help others out by using my skills. I have been involved in Design and creativity since I was at school and the different routes through each design discipline I have taken has developed my skill set to have breadth and depth.
I am at a point in life where I have taken control over the outcome I want and my own business has enabled me to do that whilst being able to give back to others who need the skills I have.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have wide-ranging skills and depth of knowledge that I bring to bear in the projects I undertake.
I listen to clients and offer my experience where it is needed.
If you like to be listened to and work with someone who has experience then people should choose me. If you are after the cheapest solution and not too concerned about quality then there are plenty out there that can offer that service, I prefer to concentrate on communication and quality.

I have the ability to look objectively and with empathy to give advice on learning paths, and also to help out with informed advice on the best route to take. I am able to motivate and ensure that students feel they have the capabilities to continue and do their best. I have been through College and University, and am educated up to M.Sc level and so can advise on project based work, and the best route to take when a project is first undertaken. Advice like this will motivate the student and point them in them right direction whilst not 'doing the work' for them.
Whilst being trained to M.Sc level in visual and design skills, I developed an interest in photography, and digital photography in particular. Digital photography is quicker, and the results can be more accurate in the first instance. Digital processing can still enhance an image and really give it the 'wow' factor that is sought so many times. I prefer to shoot lots of images digitally, and then select the best shots with the help of the client, and then enhance these images to give the final result.
3D Architectural Visualization
Since having gained my M.Sc in 3D Digital Design, I have been working using 3D in the architectural arena, producing visuals and also using 3D to check for conflicts within a design. I am able to take CAD plans and build up a 3D model which can then be dressed and lit ready for visuals to be produced. I have worked on The Joshua Tree project producing visuals that are used to help gain funding for a centre which provides children with immune diseased a safe place to holiday.
3D Art is an exciting arena and can cover many different things, from providing marketing visuals before a product has been made, through to visualising the impossible. I use many tools to generate 3D imagery and take pride in my skill levels, and expertise in producing images.
Database and systems development
Using the most appropriate technology I can design and implement a database or system that harnesses and expands on current data practices to allow data to be entered once and recalled or output whenever required. I have worked on controlling machinery in a visual format using a database and excel software.

system. I have become involved producing 3D models for tender purposes to give the areas, which is used to produce quotations. 2008 - 2009 Qi Van Systems Ltd - Design / Applications Engineer I was approached to join Qi Van Systems to implement SolidWorks within the company. At first I had to demonstrate the advantages, and prove the software in delivering designs which utilise existing products, whilst producing all manufacturing drawings, and linking to other departments such as production and purchasing to enable raw materials to be bought on a 'just in time' basis. I am also responsible for communication between the company and the SolidWorks VAR in handling the day to day aspects, and software subscriptions. I have shown the benefits of using DriveWorks Xpress, and have developed a catalogue of parts which can be customised, and these parts are then available within a 'Design Library' to be re-used in other designs. I also demonstrated the visual aspects of SolidWorks and how the sales team can be supported using rendered visuals and E-Drawings.
Applications Engineer, Software Development, and Programming
From 2006 to 2008.
Working within a team of 2, I was employed to implement and integrate CAD CAM Systems to provide a manufacturing solution unique to Panaloc's product. This involved the creation of templates for both SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Further work into the implementation of a fully automated system involved immersion into the CAM system CAMWorks, and also Custom Programming to allow .Net applications to interrogate SolidWorks models and extract data for the production of the Panaloc product. A Database was written to allow 'normalisation' of information within Panaloc. Due to Software constraints full automation has not been achived, but a semi automated process, where CAM Data is produced automatically from a SolidWorks model has been implemented and is being used fully. Issues with the CAM software have been identified, and I have been working closely with the CAM Software Vendor in Arizona USA to further develop their core product to allow the automation level required for Panaloc's product.
Neville Johnson Offices
From 2005 to 2006.
Employed as a technical designer using the 3D SolidWorks system, producing manufacturing information using SolidWorks and DriveWorks, I worked my way in a short time to becoming instrumental in the future devlopment of the system, by adding new product ranges into DriveWorks for use by the team of Designers. I also became involved with the IT support on a day to day basis within the Drawing Office environment.
Mice Kaymar Ltd
I was approached to join Mice Kaymar based in Wigan producing 2D designs for School, and Hospital fitouts, providing manufacturing information, and also providing information for the construction of metalwork for desk legs etc
From 2004 to 2005.
3D digital Design
3D Digital Designer
From 2003 to 2004.
M.Sc Masters Degree in 3D digital Design I was selected to undertake a Masters Degree Course. During the course all aspects of 3D design were looked into including Rapid Prototyping Techniques. During the course I undertook lectures involved with innovation in design. It was also required to demonstrate a 'mastery' of 3D Software packages. The packages used throughout the course were SolidWorks, 3D Studio, with programming environments Processing, and Max/MSP. As part of the final degree Certification I developed a link between brain waves and 3D modelling, by producing some apparatus that would interpret different brain wave patterns into different 3D geometry. I used the ability to 'mix' geometries together to produce a 3D model which was unique dependant upon brain wave pattern of the user. This has developed into an as yet unrealised Phd course.
Design Manager / Designer
From 2002 to 2003.
Employed as Design Manager to a team of 3 including 2 members producing prototypes, a need was identified to reduce cost of expensive and time consuming prototypes. Having seen the benefits of a 3D system, a 3D system was initiated by myself, and following director level discussions, AutoDesk Inventor 6 was brought in. This reduced the time in being able to show the client visual representations of designs, and ensured samples produced were valid. The 3D models produced also provided CNC Data for the production of components. I was also instrumental in providing opportunites for 3D training for the 2 members producing samples, so their experience and knowledge could be brought into the design process.
Neville Johnson Offices
From 1998 to 2002.
Having started out as a Technical Designer within the Design Office, I worked my way up to becoming responsible for the scheduling of work for the office of 16 Designers. This involved daily meetings at director level to ensure the production targets were met each week. I also had the responsibilities of producing production work, manufacturing drawings and information.
From 1996 to 1998.
Working as sole Product Designer, I was responsible for new product ideas and development. My responsibilities included producing manufacturing drawings for manufacturing companies based in China, and Spain. My responsibilities also included producing prototype models used in the process of validating a design, and liaising with the Quality Control Department to ensure new and current product ranges adhered to all relevant child safety standards.
